For my money matter, I no de reason patriotism, I de go for track record, any exchange wey don gain reputation for di crypto space, because if my money caste, our government no go refund me. Anybody wey de for dis forum wey de leave dem coins for exchanges, na sorry be dem name., not your keys not your coins, make everybody no forget dis advice.

With all this things wey don happen, you go fit trust local exchanges? And wetin this one mean for other exchanges wey dey come up?
Wetin happen with Patricia exchange na wetin way every cryptocurrency user for we country gat use guide their judgement about our local exchanges. Make we no lie, the matter no easy to trust another exchange when the one we been put mind in onto say na them go be a better exchange way go serve as vanguard for other exchanges for the country both already existing one and the ones way dey come up.

The least any informed crypto user for Naija go do now na to allow him money sleep inside any local exchange because right now despite the Patricia saga, even the government no the do or arrange policies wey go give us confidence about cryptocurrency exchange future for the country. Instead them to harmonize them the attack us from all corners as though ne we be the cause of the fall of we Naira.

Aside from the new upcoming exchanges facing the risk of getting hacked or we having fear of exit scam, the government sef na another risk to consider when using local exchanges. Them fit wake up one morning in their blind battle to give the naira value just decide to give order make local exchange just shutdown, freeze anybody account they wish to make their target or even the total users account.

I been the use roqqu and flitaa under the idea of patronizing and promoting local products and services but with how things the go I just gat wipe my account to avoid putting my small change at risk. I not fit cry.

I think Patricia did a very good job at managing the situation they found themselves in sometime ago. I don't know if it is true that they were able to refund everyone their money and if this is true, then they are honest
Did you read the OP or you only read the topic title? Patricia never refunded their users the money they lost. What they did was to fund their wallets with Patricia token. Now how would you feel if you had your coins on the exchange and you are told that you cannot access your coins anymore but we will give you our token instead? That’s what I call a scam.

Life's but a walking shadow!

E dey inevitable say very soon Patricia go shut down completely, dem don deny the rumor say dem never shut down and it could be true that they are still operating right now, but in a short time to come, they will shut down. They have lost customer trust, and business wey no get customer go close na, it is a natural thing.

Global exchanges dey better, but if a local exchange comes up in the future and shows the Nigerian crypto community that they offer a good service, we go support dem, so i no go fit talk say make we no trust local exchanges. Wetin i go talk be say make nobody keep money for any exchange, whether na global or na local.

I don't know if it is true that they were able to refund everyone their money and if this is true, then they are honest and meanwhile for cryptocurrency. But as for using them, I have never used them before and I don't plan to do that now. With the recent crackdown on cryptocurrency by our government, it is even risky to consider using an exchange like that which have been on the news for negative reasons. Using them might just be a way of compounding the risk.

Recents events don cause users to doubt the credibility of the crypto exchange way them dey call Patricia. This wahala start from May 2023, when users come discover say them no fit withdraw money from the exchange. After much kasala for internet, na so Patricia come out come talk say them hack them. According to the CEO, then lose over $2million to the hack. Some people nor buy this story, them believe say nothing like hack happen. Na just the way the exchange won take do exit scam be that.

Even with all the story way we dey hear for internet, the CEO still dey reassure their users say the exchange go refund everybody their money back. So imagine the surprise when them come up with Patricia Token as repayment of the lost funds. This thing no just make sense at all. Which day Patricia Token won take get value? The whole thing just be like daylight robbery. Na say young entrepreneurs no dey fit manage large funds and companies? We see the same problem with FTX where company go dey bankrupt and the CEOs go still dey chop life with people money.

Just yesterday, e come be like say people darkest fear don come true as this tweet go viral about Patricia closing down.

Patricia don respond today to the allegations, them dey claim say na fake news and that they don come to stay.

Omo Patricia don enter into so many scandal recently, I doubt if they will survive it, my pain is that, why are Nigeria made to suffer every time they support their own. I remember in PORT HARCOURT when Maxwell odum the CEO of MBA Forex did the same thing, he absconded with people funds and after convincing them to invest, e come be like na bad thing to patronise a fellow Nigerian for the tech industry.  A lot of us where really hoping Patricia will stand the test of time after so much publicity and even sponsoring Big Brother nija to help extend their clout, it's disappointing to say the least.

Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
One major problem private and little growing firms fails to put in considerations while exploring is the ability to understand the value of integrities and how effortlessly it'd contribute to yournaim of success.
Literally once these disreputable firms begin to see qualities and quantities of values in the ventures under their control, they're so fragile to dispute their goal without undermining how it could damage their carriers.

Too many terminologies to scam people are being somuch rampart and another issues here by which these scamming schemes would never be obvious to the public is that the scammers can be so patient and actually offering genuine services from the begining for a very long time by which they may have won the interests to trustworthy of the people.
You can think about MMM and here also the alleged Patricia crypto exchange platform with the accuses.

I can't be a judge to this since the exchange platform is denying the accuses but in as much that they had that negative record that hackers invaded their privacies with the lost counts, it's already a red tag to the platform that crypto investors may or not trade with the platform again. Also, for the fact that they're insisting to swap investors tokens to the so Patricia token is of no good to write about because the token value as it may be a newly launched token can't be compared to the investors token values which obviously as the Op may say it's a daylight robbery.
I basically don't see any reasonable reasons why I'd venture to trade with such network and as I can imagine based on the negative tags on the platform, that's just a lead to the crashing of the Patricia exchange platform.

I remember when I registered and they sent email saying 'hello chief'. Everything about Nigerians is just different. I was expecting hello Patrician or hello dear user or something better.
By trying to make their platform impressive to a new user like you, their action performed the other purpose which was disappointing. "Patrician" make sense pass "chief".

Just because their service is so much inferior to the service I have access to on foreign exchanges.
Their service fit dey impressive to person wey never too see things, people wey never dey exposed to other services go think say dem make sense.

Recents events don cause users to doubt the credibility of the crypto exchange way them dey call Patricia.
once an exchange give you reason to doubt their services,  it is enough reason for you to quit using them.

I register on Patricia and NairaEx but I have not used any of the exchange for deposit and withdraw. Just because their service is so much inferior to the service I have access to on foreign exchanges.

But Patricia is disappointing.
