it's sad that none turkish language media has report the news. Because it's important to repeat that investing in high volatile assets such as cryptocurrencies is not safe. You can quickly get higher losses than with traditional assets. People should be reminded to stay cautious and to only invest what they can afford to lose or what they would be ready to gamble.

"Don't invest what you can't afford to lose"

I remember seeing Reddit pinned suicide prevention numbers for each country after a wave of desperate investors
And I've read long ago a professor of psychiatry saying people can easily have a psy problem with digital finance. He drew comparisons with online gambling addictions and it starts when people check almost everyday their bank account with smartphone.

Exactly.  Nothing is worth killing yourself over.  Life is precious, worth more than any financial asset.  RIP to the family.

This is such a sad news. His family would be in so much pain.

Losing money to cryptocurrency investment is very unbearable. And it is even more hurtful when you invest money you know you cannot afford to lose against the advice of friends.

There is shame, pain, and regret. You cannot face yourself nor your family because you have failed them, at least that is what they think after then, they come to the conclusion that the only thing that would save them from the shame, pain, and regret that they feel is to kill themselves.

Any and every cryptocurrency investments carries risks and cryptocurrencies still remains very volatile. Doing one's own research helps to prepare one for the unforeseen circumstances that will show up unexpectedly.

It really is sad to see how people are handling their losses. Maybe he has been really in debt and couldn't handle it anymore. I can't understand the original post but it seems like he lost a lot. It's really good to manage your risk in this market.  Embarrassed
