Alice He(2011-06-14 01:14:15)
Sorry ,at moment ,we only have the micro sd card and sd card and usb flash drive
Me(2011-6-14 2:14:34)
You're out of the 5970s?
Alice He(2011-06-14 01:14:39)
graphich card is not stock .that is our new item ,we will try to start on Auguest
Me(2011-6-14 2:14:52)
Fuck.

Those scam artists on alibaba probably never had any 5970's in stock. They just operate a bait and switch scam advertising non exiting goods in order to peddle their worthless flash memory products. And if this is an Indonesian company selling 5970's and claiming to have thousands of them in stock, than they are most likely just live a dream of disappearing with your wire transfer into the sunset. They will happily sell you any amount of 5970's for as little as 130$ each. Beware.

I wonder if a manufacturer in India could be convinced to start making 5970's again...

looks like the chinese manufacturers don't need much convincing http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/453448294/AMD_ATI_Radeon_HD_5970_D5.html

they're selling $35-$120/unit, with a supply ability of 8,000 a week

Doubled your hashrate, but if I tried it I'd have to buy motherboards, powersupplies, cpus, memmory, flash drives. Even then, given the nature of rigs paying for themselves, that must have been a rewarding flip. Congrats. Would have been no different than just buying another 5970.

Only a fool would sell a 5970 for 25 bitcoins right now.

Electricity is no issue for me.

I sold my 5970 for $800 and bought 6 5830s for $700.

More than doubled my hash rate.

By the time we reach $250/BTC Difficulty will likely be around 18,000,000, so a 1 Ghash/s rig could still bring about $350/month.

This will be the case, unless the dollar price per bitcoin were to skyrocket in the coming weeks (from intense media exposure, I presume), before the difficulty even reaches 4,000,000. I guess we will just have to live and wait.

If they use leaded solder I'd be down.

Only a fool would sell a 5970 for 25 bitcoins right now.

And how's that...?
You get the same amount of purchasing power exchanged at the time of purchase.
Greed is a bish aint it? Smiley

Because if you accept bitcoins then that means you're in the bitcoin loop. Why not just mine 25 coins this month, then sell your card?

Yeah, I was thinking about this for several days now. Most new users right now are bitcoin buyers - not miners. Therefore the prices are driven way up, and people still prefer to buy 200 bitcoins for $6000 instead of spending time putting together a bitcoin rig for just $1500, which could more than pay for itself in a few months. We just might see the day when you can buy an awesome new computer for just 6 BTC, and the difficulty still manageable.

And someone who sells for $750 is smarter? Not necessarily.

Never said that.

Appreciate the work, surprised at some of the prices.

You'd think those graphic cards had a nugget of gold in the GPU Smiley
