Personally I think the prices of Casascius coins have gone down BTC wise. Many people have started taking 2.5 to 3 for silver singles. Same for some other coins too.

Yes, 4 is too much imo.

Fair enough. How about a 0.50BTC second prize? Or a 0.20BTC entry fee?

If there is a .50 BTC second prize and a .20 btc entry fee I'll take spot 5

I took his quote to be an OR, but I agree, .2 is much easier to swallow losing on, and .5 would be a nice second prize but that would probably not work, depending on dazedfools lowest price. Like the ideas coming out though, really cool! Cheesy

I meant those as exclusive. Current setup is entry of 0.20BTC and no second place prize.

But I am open to suggestion... just trying to see what people might be interested in. Maybe an entry of 0.25BTC, but with 2nd prize 0.50BTC and 3rd prize 0.25BTC?

Well damn, that's definitely a lot more attractive. 1/16 odds are really tough to gamble on so the more extra prizes the better... I like how thenewanon does his lucky box raffles for example. Even if you risk losing a bit more, you have better odds to win something. Winning anything is better than nothing. Hell, I'd take a free plastic dogecoin for example just for playing - at least I could give it my kid! Cheesy ... Or even just a Bitcoin sticker sent via snailmail!? ..

Frankly, if I was running a raffle of this size, I'd want to send every participant at least something just for playing it, even if it wasn't much of anything, but a token of appreciation and good will (I.e bitcoin swag etc)!  Grin

Ok, OP updated with multiple prizes.. let's see how that goes

Very curious about the communities valuation of this coin. I have a few late funded coins and I am curious if their rarity makes them worth more or if early funded coins are preferred. I don't mean to clutter up your raffle thread, let me know if you want me to delete my comment but I haven't seen very much discussion on the topic.

Fully open to discussion, my valuation is arbitrary. WOULD YOU LIKE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE RAFFLE?
