i think you should give him 0.2 from your own btc so he is not disappointed for your deal but its depend how you make this deal because before we make a bets, we should talk each other about the deals. but if he is no problem with your lost and not asked you to give him 0.2 btc so you don't have to do that but i think in the other day if you gets win, you should give 0.2 btc for him as a gift.

If you haven't agreed upon sharing both profit & loss than you are not obligated to give him what you have lost. But if you have agreed to also share loss than you are obligated to give 10% of total loss amount that will be 0.02BTC from your pocket.However, i am quite sure this is not a paper based agreement so it depends upon how he gonna take this loss.

if you gave the person a option implying that you had a 100% win rate then you should give back the .2.
If not then you shouldn't have to give back the .2 because the person knows the risk involved since it's online.
You could also be nice to the guy then give the .2, in this particular situation it is entirely up to you.

There is nothing to worry, he approaches you and you just did your job. There is no certain in gambling and no sure bet at all. What you did is you are giving him a bet that you feel it will hit, but true, our luck sometimes are not in favor to us and bad bet happens. The guy who approach you should be matured enough in gambling, he should not trust you with his money in the fist place considering he is asking too much for the winning and just gave you a little percentage of it.

First of all, He asked you to help him to make some money and you just did, you suggest a gambling and then he gave you .2 bitcoin which is I know he insist because he is desperate to earn money. So, if this bitcoin that he gave you, lost, then it is not your fault because you didn't want it to happen, and I know that he knows that gambling is this way, either you lose or you win.
Giving him back the .2 bitcoin is not really necessary, it his fault, not yours, but if your being a good Samaritan here, then you should at least give him .1, for him to start another way to grow his bitcoin. It is the least you can do.

It depends on your agreement mainly. This is an investment actually and that dude should know that under his discretion, he agreed to give you money and to let you gamble with it in the hopes that it will return with some kind of profit, which apparently hasn't happened to your case. You can give him 0.2 if you like out of goodwill but tbh, you have no responsibility or whatsoever on what happened since you haven't assured to him/her that it will be a 100% guarantee win.

I agree. What you offered was an investment, it wasn't a sure thing as gambling is really a risking investment especially having it gambled by another person. So the investor totally should have known that there is a possibility of losing everything as it is an investment. Well, it is up to you guys though.
