First of all as further as I know it is not scam. 2ndly I think coinbase does not support your country. If coinbase or bitcoin does not support a country that means they do not support via phone or email, or form. And if they disable any account then they give a chance to transfer fund from you account to an external wallet (coinbase wallet not supported).

Good day everybody

I want to share information about my account in Coinbase, I have more than 700 BTC which I could not pull the funds are there, already more than one month I did not get an answer from the support, all answered by robots each email reply, my account position is currently frozen condition, I could only see the contents of the balance but could not do transactions, I've been thinking if this continues without the news this week, I will report the company's coin base to the FBI, CIA, USA investigation for committing fraud 700 BTC to me.

This exact thing has happened with me today just not with an amount like yours. I had 2.1 BTC in there and now they have just vanished i cant move them out of the account, coinbase are not answering any of my questions when i ring them. "Specialist" are meant to be looking into this but then they i get emails back telling me then are compensating me 0.30p (British Pounds) which is nothing compared to the amount they have stolen from me.

Also has anyone heard of a company called Blockcypher when coinbase are saying my funds are apparently stuck, I feel like Blockcypher is associated with Coinbase. When i go to see my funds it takes me to blockcypher's page and when i ask a coinbase representative about this they say they have never heard of it and i need to try and contact them, I have suspicions that Blockcypher is a compnay associated with Coinbase which is being use to Sisyphean (Steal) money from people money.

Any help with be appreciated.

Thanks

I had opened an account with counbase Jan 2018 itself. Bought Etherium, LTC and BTC for few thousand dollars.. After a week i rcvd the coins. Gaining confidence i bought BTC worth $5000. Then on 25th Jan, 2018 i transfered LTC and BTC into my other wallet, as BTC worth $5000 had not yet arrived. In few moments my account was disabled giving the status of "Account disabled temporarily". Talked to support on 27th Jan over phone after geting ther number. To my amusement i was told somebody called and said this account has been hacked, so coinbase put a temp disablment on my login. I tried to explain that no compromise has happened. I have user id, password and 2FA security on my account, but the guy on other end was not ready to listen. Although i have received the mail after disablement of my account that BTC worth $ 5000 have arrived in the account. but i m not able to login..
I like to ask them. A person has login id, password and google authenticator code. Even after that u r saying the account has been compromised ? Plz open my account., i dont need any password reset, i have everything intact.
My small son needs a transplant and i had put in the money so that it would be added by $ 1000 or $ 2000 in few weeks. I m in a fix.. Seeing my son i have nothing expect to see him. I have in total invested $ 8000 in coinbase so that i may add few more thousand dollars to it. But i lost the money for treatment. Plz somebody help me for Gods sake.. I beg plz enable my account so that i can get back my money for treatment... Plz Plz Plz somebody help me.

So sorry to hear the issues you are encountering with coinbase... It break my heart to read such comments  Sad  Cry This is not something new, their support is only getting worst and worst the last days.

The best advise I can give you is to head up to Reddit and comment on some post over there, exposing their activities to the light is the best thing one could do by now. There are people in the same situation but with larger amounts and they have been waiting for months behind a response from coinbase.

This is the last active post where someone is asking for his 20,000k, if you can go over there and make a comment on that post people will know about it and maybe upvote it to make it visible for coinbase https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/7t5cal/coinbase_olga_coinbase_dan_please_help_20000_wire/

And consider starting a lawsuit against them. Hope you grand-son recovers well.

Update: I finally got my Coinbase/GDAX account funded with my $1000 after filing a complaint with CFPB and my bank. Once you file a complaint they will go to work immediately to recover your money. Who says banks aren't trustworthy? I got mine back with their help.

I withdrew the money back to my bank account by ACH and it only took one day to get back to my bank. I don't understand why it took Coinbase over a week to fund my GDAX account via ACH but only took one day for the same funds to return to my bank. If you're having such a problem with a bitcoin/altcoin exchange always file a complaint with your bank!

As for me I'm done with the crypto space and just glad to have my money back. There is too much potential for fraud in this market. If the crypto market takes a nose dive tomorrow I bet the exchanges would probably run off with all your money! I don't mind taking the market risk but when you can't even trust the integrity of the exchanges with your money that's when it's time for me to leave.

Coinbase STOLE my Money!!!

I wire deposit from WellsFargo bank to Coinbase on Dec 26 in the amount of $5000. Up until today (Jan 5), it has not appeared in my CoinBase account (It has been debited from the bank within the same day)

Before that, I tried smaller amount first ($1000) on Dec 23, It was sucessfully credited in the same day in the CoinBase.

So all the information has been verified and correctly enter.

Multiple email, open ticket, DM to their Twitter has not been replied. Calling their support is just wasting. Time. I literally was put on hold for 1 hour without talking to anyone. This is ridiculous. IF this is not scam, I don’t know what is this.

Same thing happened to me. Coinbase recently took $1000 from my bank account through ACH transfer but never credited my Coinbase account. They do not respond to my phone calls and emails. What did you do to get your money back?

I sent a complaint to my bank in California. They say they will investigate and should be able to reverse the transaction. I also filed a complaint with CFPB - I spoke to them they said they have a ton of complaints against Coinbase. I will update my status in a week or two. Coinbase claims to be insured by FDIC so you could probably file a complaint there too. Please people stay away from this scam company. I think most if not all of these  bitcoin exchanges are scammers. Especially if not in the US it may be a lot harder to recover your money.

I sold this morning etereum, on coinbase, to 588 euros, coinbase registered the transaction considering the etereum to 488 euros, but it has never been to that amount. That is a true scam.

I have some bitcoins in coinbase. Should i move them immediately?

I don't think you should do that immediatly, they gave me the chance to exchange all my cryptocoins, but not my euros (the bank options are not there), but since they don't reply to my 3 weeks ago emails or do not chat on twitter, this is not a way to work. Even though they open again my account I don't think I will work again with them. I like to know what I have done wrong. As I said I think it is crossed information and I created an account in GDAX with my valid data and they closedthe accounts with any justification. I suppose that was the system that detected me as I was 2 persons with same data Sad

Maybe it's time to start auditing ICO projects? After all, this is the only way to reduce the problem of a scam.

UAU, what an experience, I believe in this guy, because the same happened to me (with very much less money   Wink Huh).

But the quantity of money is not the important, the important is attitude and lack of confidence.

I just want to weigh in on this issue but also give everyone a heads-up.  OP you might be very frustrated for luck of response from coinbase regarding your 700 BTC. Indeed their delay is regrettable. On the other hand, the security of some cryptocurrency exchanges is questionable. This is a genuine currency but fraudster are taking advantage of it and this will just lower the trust on digital currency. A case in point; very soon you will hear Bitconnect linked to a pyramid scheme. The ownership of this company is unclear but there are 4 main suspects who keep on changing the name of this company to conceal their annual returns in the UK. These returns are required to validate their credibility. Having said that you have to give it up to coinbase for keeping off these fraudsters. The owners of Bitconnect are stacking BTC from the money they collect from unsuspecting people who loan their bot system money. I want to believe that you are not one of these four crooks

Cool, show actual proof then we'll believe you. More than likely something on your end went wrong.

In my opinion this thread opened a bored kid (Newbie account). No one does not keep 700BTC in online wallet. Come on!
Besides, there is no proof that transaction has ever been made.

have what news?
that writes support.coinbase???

No Respone from support coinbase.
Did you email them for how many times already? Or contact them via cellphone number or any possible line of communication with them because 700 btc isnt a joke amount that could easily be stolen by coinbase if you are telling the truth then fight for your bitcoins no matter what Smiley

please see my thread on top, their final answer will give you an update, already two days I do not get updates and some emails I have not been in respone.
Just keep on emailing or contacting them until they would answer on your question dont give up if you do really own those bitcoins. If they would not answer for a very long time then the community would decide for itself if this is a scam exchange/wallet but as of now you should wait a little bit further.

Thank you for your attention.

I was always active via twitter, but they are not there to give attention

So what is the actual status? Can you please update us?
Also I will suggest to use Social Media Bots to spread this information on the social media and create a real buzz that will put all the attention on it, using all available social media plattforms.

May I know how and why you managed to store 700 BTC in an Exchanger (Coinbase)?   Shocked Roll Eyes

A lesson learned I guess, I have been using coinbase since I started using BTC but I never use it to move
large a amount of BTC because of its rules and past reputation, it is only natural to learn more about
the wallet you are using especially you are going to store or use it for the purpose of transactions only.

Big lesson learned indeed, here in our country our local exchanger can only accommodate limited amount of bitcoin you can store in your wallet, coinbase and other local exchanges are adhering to anti money  laundering regulations,so better stick to exchanges that you can control like electrum.

WTF, 700 BTC in an exchange which has a bad repuation and usually freezes accounts, you sane? If your money is not black, you will get it eventually.

May I know on which basis will they qualify this money as "BLACK"  or  "WHITE/CLEAN"  please especially if the coins have been tumbled before?

Coinbase allows to much price manipulation. For instance look at the price of LTC on 10/20/17 starting at 8pm EST. The price is being "spammed down" with multitudes of small trades constantly coming in and any buy is automatically met with a cascade of sell "spam trades" This is illegal. The API of the accounts doing this should be cut off.

Do you have a proof to coinbase a scam? the size of your bitcoin why you did not buy the hardware more secured the hardwallet compare to the exchanger. Such a big bitcoin should be of the private key. I have a coinbase fund but not a size but I want a proof that the scam is a coinbase as now I have a transaction with coinbase no problem with the service.

This is the scariest thread I've read in a while! Good luck to you legendofcoin.

kinda amusing actually ;p

the OP can still SIGN messages from coinbase addresses lol, he just cant use the wallet.
i personally call BS in crypto about amount of funds unless theres a signed message, funny noone else did ;p
Also, if there were atleast some addresses posted we could atleast SEE the coins/where they are/went/are going/MAYBE came from.

question is: why?  why bs OR why is coinbase holding his coins? :/

Im also thinking why they hold his account. Is having the bitcoins earned from scam be a ground for freezing an account? If yes how can they determine if one transaction is likely scam?'That is possible one of the reason but who knows or just coinbase is not that credible.

you may be opinions as to say it was the result of fraud, because you do not know the truth of where the funds came from, the account is held for more than five people for short-term investments, we bought the coin from the price of $ 760, the current coin rose at a very good price we intend to sell, but we were restricted to a transaction account.

verification of all we had to do because we know their rules, you should check this incident is not only me who have this problem.
Could you solve your problem with coinbase already?

Yes indeed Coinbase is a scam service based from hundred of people who testify from different social medias and forum. Such a sad news from a legit and cool coin exchange site to a scam site.

I've used Coinbase several times and never had any problems. I'm surprised at what I read in this topic.

This user could just be competition for sure or real. But 700 BTC in one account? Why not get something more secure? Like those USB things people use starts with the letter "T". I mean come on? Also another person who is new stated he sent money from 1 wallet to another and then back. It could be that they know that people do this method for illegal things send money one time then back to each other again and maybe it's a red flag? It could be gambling or loans either way it's hard to tell. I did sign up with them a few years ago and recently did try to add a Credit card with them but to verify for over 10 days and still no code from my bank. And after reading this threat. I just dropped it and removed my card. I don't know much about the entire system only that it hit the highest it's ever been in the last 30 days. And I wanted to buy like 10 BTC for myself just to invest the money and let it grow. But after seeing how this happened true or not. I don't need a paypal company type to hold my funds and not answer me. They could either have a system to track illegal things going on and know these customers won't call the cops cause they can't explain how or what they did with the funds to begin with. Or not? So could be legit, and people who say online "Bro I'm legit" are NEVER! LOL. Or it's competition trying to scare people, or they flag/busted a few people for wrong doing?

Anyways not going to use these guys for sure now. For anyone reading this 700 BTC is a lot. Please put it in a safer spot don't let 3rd parties hand it.

I'd love to buy 10 BTC and not from a place like local bitcoins either with super high fees. If anyone know a great service like this let me know please.

Thank you.

I've used coinbase for about 2 years with no problem, not to say they aren't selectively targeting certain users and taking advantage - but I haven't seen it. It seems highly suspicious that a user who can barely string a sentence together would have around 2 million dollars worth of bitcoin in their account. If you've got that sort of money, you could at least learn to basics of bitcoin and create your own wallet that is safe. Where did you get the bitcoins originally? Mining? Amazing how it is always newbies making these sort of complaints.

I never used Coinbase....I do have an account there but their prices and fees are just too outrageous for me to justify doing business with them.  Plus, they just ask too many damn questions not to be working with the feds....Doing business with Coinbase is like inviting a sleeper into your clubhouse....

Trade somewhere else! Y'all should know better!

Aside from countless Issues they're having right now(Security Issues), Coinbase is meddling scum. https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/6hik6e/coinbase_disables_account_for_ross_ulbricht_legal/

Better off trading in good places like Paxful or anything equivalent.

Coinbase is a scam and they are trying to scam more people to put money in with this bunch of bullshit from an email they call their 'coinbase blog' which of course nobody can reply to as it's not a blog but a SPAM to those they have already scammed hoping you won't tell others about the scam.  Note!  My experience and replies to their non-existent customer support is in BOLD

You have been warned as I've been scammed out of 2k from coinbase and had my account closed for NO REASON given and no answer from their non-existent customer support which THEY ACKNOWLEDGE!

Note how they ACKNOWLEDGE they are criminals and will get around to it when they feel like it and even the most rudimentary things will take MONTHS if not a full year by which time they are hoping people have given up. Another big LOOK OUT is how they ACKNOWLEDGE they have HELD MONEY FOR NO REASON AND DO NOT GIVE A RESPONSE. These fuckers are criminals on every level and the following is directly from the coinbase blog.:

I’m writing today to apologize for the experience you’re having and tell you what we’re doing to improve the situation.

First, it’s worth acknowledging the gravity of the situation. Our goal with Coinbase is to build the product that is the most trusted and easiest to use in the space. It erodes trust when customers can’t get a timely response to customer support inquiries, or when there are delays in pay ins, pay outs, limit increase requests, or getting access to your account.

I HAVE NO ACCESS TO MY ACCOUNT AND HAVE GOTTEN NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER in over 2 weeks since closure for NO REASON and no violation of their terms!

We’re storing customer funds, and I can understand how incredibly frustrating (and scary) it is when an issue arises and you can’t get a prompt response.

THEY AREN't STORING, they are STEALING! My account was ILLEGALLY closed with money being transferred to MYSELF from my own blockchain account and I now have NO ACCESS to see that was completed to get it sent to another wallet. Additionally, I now have NO RECORD WHATSOEVER, of who sent me money or who I sent money to with the latter being NOBODY BUT MY OWN BLOCKCHAIN ACCOUNT

We haven’t done enough to keep up with the growth, and we’re taking steps now to correct it. I want to share with you specifically what we’re doing to improve the situation.

Near Term: WTF DOES THAT MEAN!

We are doubling overall support capacity by spinning up an outsourced support facility by the end of June. This will allow us to rapidly add level 1 support agents during future surges.
We’re hiring 10 new contractors for our in house team over the next 3 months.
WOW! THAT SURE IS ONE HELLUVA GODDAMN TIME FRAME OF FUCKING FOREIGNERS TO ANSWER EMAIL AND A GODDAMN PHONE NEITHER OF WHICH EXIST AT ALL! I'M LIVING IT!

We’re adding new hires on the Trust team (part of the engineering org that helps deal with security questions).
Hired a consultant (former VP Customer Success at larger company) to consult on scaling, and how to introduce phone support.
REALLY, you NEED TO BE TOLD HOW TO ADD PHONE SUPPORT? I guess so when NO SUPPORT EXISTS AT ALL AND THIS IS MORE AND MORE LOOKING Like PAYSHIT WHERE PHONE MEANS NOTHING, TOO!

Several account security improvements are rolling out, including improvements to our two factor authentication, and a new system to flag risky withdrawals.
Q3 Plan HUH? EVERYTHING IS A RISKY WITHDRAWAL EVEN TO YOURSELF AND WHAT THE FUCK DOES A 'RISKY WITHDRAWAL' mean at all on a legal level. JESUS FUCKING CHRIST! But don't worry it will only take more than 6 mos to solve that for ya!

Goal will be < 6 hours first response time for everyone; < 2 hours in cases of large balances
Goal of having first version of phone support introduced for high balance accounts, and/or security related questions by end of September
Q4 Plan

Roll out phone support for a wider % of customer base (potentially a paid option, still TBD) BAHAHAHA! Pay for nonexistent phone support which they act like they have!
Introduce additional account security options such as Yubikey support
We understand that trust has to be earned, not given, and that we haven’t done enough lately to earn that trust. Thank you for your support as we continue to scale.
They only thing they are scaling is the larger amounts of money they are stealing by trying to get people to leave money in their bullshit establishment which is a TOTAL FRAUD with no support and no rules at all. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR MONEY IN THERE AT ALL OR IT WILL BE GONE!

Thank you!

As mentioned I wasn't spending or having BTC sent to me from anybody but MYSELF!  I invested 1-2 months ago and just rode it.

You seem to have a problem with me and others clearly stating these scammers are pulling the same crap as Paypal?  Well,  why not tell us the legal avenue to take and get justice?   While you are at it, let us know the how to contact Coinrape to get a response.

Here is the direct email from Coinrape and then what appears on the site where all you can do is dump your money to another wallet and NOT cash out:

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in Coinbase. Our primary goal is to make digital currency safe and secure for our customers. Coinbase is a regulated Money Services Business under FinCEN (FinCEN.gov), and as part of achieving this goal, we are legally obligated to implement regulatory compliance mechanisms.

Upon careful review, we believe your account has engaged in prohibited use in violation of our Terms of Service and we regret to inform you that we can no longer provide you with access to our service. We respectfully request that you follow the on-screen instructions presented when you log into your Coinbase account to send any remaining balance offsite to an external address.

Should you have any questions or need assistance, please let us know and we'll be happy to help.

Respectfully,

Coinbase Customer Support

What appears when I then logged in at coinrape.com and let me know where I missed that I could cash out:

Unfortunately we have had to close your Coinbase account. Before your account can be closed, you will need to withdraw your funds to an external wallet and any other funds to an attached bank account. Please be sure to delete any references to digital currency addresses generated by Coinbase, as funds sent to those addresses will not be retrievable once the account is closed. If you have any questions you may contact us at [email protected].

BTW, that page right above is ALL you get and all your transactions/history are NOT VIEWABLE so if you don't know what you had in there you are screwed and they can give you whatever they feel like which they did.  Hell, even scumbag payscum didn't pull that crap and you could log in to see your transaction history which I can still do on an account which was closed YEARS ago.  Coinrape blocks you out so even if there was a legal recourse you would have NO PROOF as they evidence is gone which is exactly what they pulled in never completing the 1btc transfer from blockchain worth $1700.

BTW, btc addresses ARE traceable as there was recently a large case by the US gov to arrest some hackers who were holding government offices for ransom and wouldn't allow access to information unless btc was paid.  Btc was paid and they followed the money and several 'hackers' went down.

Lastly, this is right from their site and while being attached to your checking or CC IS regulated, digital currency is NOT unless you are in a regulated state.  They aren't regulated by anything or anybody so they are free to rip people off as we are seeing.

Coinbase, Inc., the company which operates Coinbase and GDAX in the U.S., is licensed to engage in money transmission in most U.S. jurisdictions. Most of Coinbase’s money transmission licenses cover US Dollar Wallets and transfers. In some states, money transmission licenses also cover digital currency wallets and transfers on the platform. In other states, no money transmission license is required to operate a digital currency business

One question that hits me hard after going through the post is, How can coinbase, or any other exchange/ wallet, determine if you have used the coins for gambling or any other suspicious activity??

Bitcoins transfers, being anonymous, can't be tracked for origin or destination.

All you can have is the originating address and receiving address and this information is not going to reveal any account related information.

Would love to know if there's a way to reveal the destination of funds.

coinbase does have some sort of list of gambling site addresses.

solution. always send to your own wallet 1st, then send to gambling site. same with gambling site withdrawals.

i dont gamble but this is what others say. so may or may not be accurate.

Almost every site, accepting bitcoins, will issue a new random address for every payment, or at least a new address for every individual account.

Having a list of addresses for any such service seems fishy.

This seems as more of a made up reason to grab someone's coins.

If they are aware of the address, they may simply block the transaction to the list of addresses they identified as "BAD".

Moreover if they are not okay with someone spending the coins  against there wish, they may ask the person to take away the coins and leave the platform, how can someone freeze the funds??

I had over $11k in coinbase which I'd gotten as it nearly doubled in the month since I bought @ $900.  I sent 1 BTC to my blockchain wallet on May 11 2017 and then sent back to coinbase on May 15 as 'the spread' was $50 different so why not make $50 for doing nothing.  My INSTANT send sat there as pending and the next day I got 'coinbase has decided your account should be closed for violations of 'the agreement''  TOTAL BS!  Now it gets good as I only got 5.54 BTC OUT when I had to 'close out' to an external wallet on May 17th 2017.  The send back from BLOCKCHAIN on the 15th WAS STOLEN netting the scamming coinbase 1BTC or $1700 offa my ass for some rule breaking they never named as I was ONLY sending coinbase to MYSELF.  You sure as shit can believe they NEVER answered a single email to their bullshit 'support' email as to what the 'violation' was.  These guys are scammers so DO NOT store BTC in coinbase or you will be sorry!

How to start a pitchfork uprising.

Steps

1. Create a totally new account or use a newbie account
2. Create thesis ( service X scammed me of Y cryptos).
3. Simply post as title ( Service X scam alert! )
4. Happily post thesis as only body of thread.
5. Wait for others to add fuel to fire based on only speculation
6. Offer to add proof after more people reply
7. Add possibly suspicious screenshots with non existent authorities to report to.
8. Suddenly vanish after a few pages.

i seriously doubt anyone with that much bitcoins will leave it in a freaking online exchange instead of storing it in a cold wallet or a trezor.

Have used coinbase for years with no verification yet high amounts of txes. I call bullshit even with your screenshots.

That is a lot of money, 700 BTC in coinbase account, but why do you store so much bitcoin on an online wallet where you don't hold your own private keys? But if this is true, I can feel how the op is going through this ordeal, 700 BTC is a lot of money  Cry

Same thing happened to me, and if you do a search on reddit about Coinbase you see people experiencing all kinds of weird issues. Frozen/ lost funds, verified accounts suddenly lost verification status, credit cards not working etc etc.

Coinbase owes me money from a sale of ETH that I did about 2 weeks ago. It was supposed to have been an instant cash credit (and had worked very well in the past), but while this particular sale was completed the money transfer never came through.

After I opened a support ticket and sent some emails, they initially entertained me with standard meaningless replies that they were "looking into it with the highest priority" but finally responded by locking me out of my account without giving a reason.

I can care less about the account - after this experience I'm not going to touch Coinbase with a 10 foot foot pole - I have plenty of other options. It's just that I've lost access to my transaction records. Now the only proof I have is from a mini screenshot of the "completed" sale and the Coinbase address that I sent ETH to from my Mist wallet.

I'm surprised a company with such bad rep managed to get so much VC funds and to recently get expanded licenses to operate in New York. What is everyone thinking? Why are there no widespread news reports on how this company is behaving with people's money?

I have purchased Bitcoin, several years ago, through Coinbase. This website has not allowed me to login for nearly a year, and has not left me with any options to login as their authentication has issues and their customer service does not offer any support or respond to emails. This has led to me being unable to get my funds from their website, therefore, allowing them to possess the funds and appears at this point in time to be a scam as it seems they are willfully negligent in their lack of customer support. I attempted to change my two-factor authentication phone number on their site several times, but to no avail, as it says the phone number I have input is incorrect (although it is correct). This makes logging into their website impossible, and makes my funds unavailable as well as any services on their website. There are several issues reported on their forums, social media, and other websites describing similar issues of willful negligence on their part and this seems to be a widespread issue. I wanted to report this, as hopefully something can be done to help me and others retrieve our funds that have, at this point, for all intents and purposes been frozen/stolen by this business.

I have now reported them to the BBB/FTC/IRS, and posted negative reviews warning others. Hopefully this can be nipped in the bud before they become the next MTGOX/Mintpal/etc.

Coinbase can be following the footsteps trudged by Paypal which is very known for freezing accounts for various reasons. Coinbase has a wrangling now with the USA government and soon it has to faced those problems head on. It is better to just avoid Coinbase for now as it is risky having them. I prefer CoinPayments but I still have to read here a review of this wallet service.

Coinbase is like the Paypal of Bitcoin, thus they freeze accounts a lot; however if you're legit you'll probably get your money back. Although they my have unfairly frozen your account that don't mean they are a scam quite yet. Good luck, I hope everything works out well.

What exactly is the "USA investigation"? ^
True, they're not a scam but they have a lot of your information and own your Bitcoin therefore they have responsibility if they suspect you of committing any illegal activity (as they're capable of knowing).  I would advise using caution but if they freeze your account, well, maybe you should have known what you were getting into before joining.

If yes how can they determine if one transaction is likely scam?'That is possible one of the reason but who knows or just coinbase is not that credible.

you may be opinions as to say it was the result of fraud, because you do not know the truth of where the funds came from, the account is held for more than five people for short-term investments, we bought the coin from the price of $ 760, the current coin rose at a very good price we intend to sell, but we were restricted to a transaction account.

verification of all we had to do because we know their rules, you should check this incident is not only me who have this problem.

o, im NOT saying its the result of fraud dude, im just saying when someone comes up to me and says they have 750,000$ that just got robbed from them, i just need some PROOF more than their WORD that they even  OWNED close to that money to begin with lol
It may be legit, i have no way of knowing that without ANY evidence except YOUR WORD, friend :/

I dunno, I've never had my account closed there so I thought when he logs in he's automatically directed/restricted to that page, so how would he sign a message?

Could anyone who's had an account closed with coinbase, tell us whether or not there's still access to that feature?

Anyway, @OP, can you post an address for us? Maybe from some of your other wallets that you've previously used to send/receive coins to/from that frozen account?

Good day everybody

I want to share information about my account in Coinbase, I have more than 700 BTC which I could not pull the funds are there, already more than one month I did not get an answer from the support, all answered by robots each email reply, my account position is currently frozen condition, I could only see the contents of the balance but could not do transactions, I've been thinking if this continues without the news this week, I will report the company's coin base to the FBI, CIA, USA investigation for committing fraud 700 BTC to me.

have what news?
that writes support.coinbase???

I want to believe you as I think everyone is good a person , I have this bad habit to believe everyone in the beginning but once I start analyzing facts you say that you had 700 BTC in your Coinbase account. If it was the truth it is your only fault as that amount of bitcoins cannot be kept in any exchange.

He is just a newbie I don't know if he knows the rule of not keeping a huge amount on one exchange, but we must not forget Mtgox any exchange might become another Gox,it's really preferable to keep your coin in electrum so you can control the public and private keys.

Well it doesn't make sense to me that Coinbase would take out all the contents of your account except for 0.00002 BTC. In my opinion it looks to me that you only have around 0.00002 BTC in the actual account, and you just inspected the element of the webpage to get it to look like 300~ BTC.
Inspect element can do what you are saying and it will be undetected even in forensic image report.

Please read the full thread op has said that he has two wallets/accounts each with around 300 btc.
Coinbase is a legitimate company but do you know some members in my company society had accounts in coinbase and they die in a machine fault in my mill so how will coinbase will take care of their funds...
I think they will eat them all...

Plus, may I ask why you said in the OP that you had around 700 BTC in your account, whilst the screenshots only show around 300~ BTC?

Coinbase is a registered company, so I'd say that you have a better chance of chasing down your funds than an anonymous bitcoin exchange if the same thing happened, like BTC-e exchange.

That is, if your screenshots are real and everything you're telling is legit here. I strongly doubt that.

Yes, if the op has proper evidence by sharing screen shot that we can alert all the people who are using coin base. A Very scary incident happened to op. In this way, we can easily identify whether he had 700BTC in coin base wallet, in order to make you believe and people will start promoting negative news against coin base.

after the we talk about this and I opened it to the public, this morning I opened my account, I encountered the funds in the account is gone, I do not receive an email notification delivery, I hope you are really serious about resolving this problem Coinbase, before all forums will tell you, and you will be a loss of all of your customers.

Click http://prnt.sc/ek2imq
That is not a small amount if coinbase do not have a good explanation what really happen to your account they will lose their credibility, you can post it on all crypto related forums and ask writers to write an article about this issue,if they fail to resolve this issue,it could happen to anybody ..

1.they asked us to move all the money, we've done but every transfer funds I experienced failed transfer.
2.Where they money come that is real money & Real business, and I do not think I need to explain in detail
1] Of they are co-operating with you then what is the point of scam accusation?
2] What is your point on making this thread , just to show off?
Today morning you told us that you had 700BTC there and they have closed/freezed your account and now you come and say that they are saying you to sweep your funds to external wallet, where is scam then.
You want community help but not willing to prove the source which might be a valid reason why coinbase closed your account.

If you have been dealing with gambling websites and have stored those funds in Coinbase, the money is lost forever until you contact the police as it's against their TOS.

Quote
Prohibited Use

Unlawful Activity: Activity which would violate, or assist in violation of, any law, statute, ordinance, or regulation, sanctions programs administered in the countries where Coinbase conducts business, including but not limited to the U.S. Department of Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control ("OFAC"), or which would involve proceeds of any unlawful activity; publish, distribute or disseminate any unlawful material or information

Gambling: Lotteries; bidding fee auctions; sports forecasting or odds making; fantasy sports leagues with cash prizes; internet gaming; contests; sweepstakes; games of chance

They are a licensed by DFS to conduct business and hence they cannot just scam their users. It seems you have a huge balance and hence they must have put your account under review. If their support is not responding, you can try and contact them via https://twitter.com/CoinbaseSupport.

This company has no contact address as well else it was possible to report them to BBB.

700 BTC that's is 7 times more than what i have, i would like to see the proofs of the funds with a valid report from you. I am also eager to see how community react to this.
were the funds from illegal sources?
The OP is having 700 bitcoin and you claim that you have 100 bitcoin even for a normal user it is quite a huge amount, may i ask you to show the proof and sign a message with the wallet you are holding those coins since you asked for the proof for the OP i would like to see your proof too.
@ OP if you are holding that much amount of coin you should store those in a cold wallet or a hardware wallet rather than trusting a online wallet and this is the issue you will be facing if you trust a web wallet. If you are not getting an answer you must approach the authorities with the proof.

Coinbase like what everyone said are famous for freezing the users account and one of the reason is they dont entertain the users to use the coinbase account for gambling or any illegal activites, if they found that their are many transaction and if they doubt of you are doing any gambling activity or illegal work, then they will ban the user account and when you give full details they will open the account if found genuine. Ya but it will take very long time as their support is the worst one.

Coinbase is known to freeze user accounts. If you are just storing bitcoins on their site then I suggest you look into safer alterntives, such as just holding the private keys yourself in a paper wallet or a trezor wallet, especially if you are holding such a big amount of coins. You can always trust yourself more than any other person over the internet, no matter how trustworthy they may seem or how big a company they may seem.

Coinbase support is usually quite responsive, are you sure you waited a WHOLE month already?

Please post pics, or it didn't happen Wink

I'm sorry, but what is the "USA Investigation"? lol

Anyway, I suggest that you present some evidence to backup what you are saying. I would not doubt that there is a (good) reason for your account being frozen.
