Wanted to jump in here and mention our angel investor fund at Bitcoin Venture Capital. We already have some interesting startups underway and are committed to bringing more websites to market that offer goods and services for BTC.

Your website is down.

Yes, Datacenter had some trouble. Should be up and running now.

Our response has included some highly localized startups, we have been surprised by the response generated by articles such as

http://starburst.hackerfriendly.com/?p=1530

about a woman buying her lunch in Manhattan with bitcoin.

Now that the market has somewhat stablized, it is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of some amazing bitcoin based startups.

I'm interested, yet I've always been skeptical about angel investors. Is it a fact that the investors will get at LEAST 50% of the shares?

I would prefer that if my company was successful I would at least have control over it with 51% shares so I could be my own CEO.

yes you do have the right to own your own company this guys figure is not correct most investors invest in below 50% of the company.

Anyways, so your services are only available for companies that will be publicly traded? What about investing in a company that will not be traded on the stock exchange but instead get a percentage ROI on the profit made each month?

Let me know, thanks.

I think it's just too early for such service, that's why it wasn't created yet. Now it's time of exchanges/etc, the core stuff of the currency, and the next step will be angel investment. So if you start it now, you will be the first with the best reputation, and recognizable. Good luck!

P.S. Nice to see you here!

Don't angel investors usually fork up pre-ipo money?
