Sadly, I live in the NE area of the United States where gun laws are typically stricter and the only real way to get a handgun is to be own a business which transcates a lot in cash-- that's the only way they really grant Concealed Carry licenses. Though, because I do live in the US I am able to buy rifles and guns along those lines just no handguns.

Sucks, but I'd rather not move to another state and miss out on the opportunities here simply because of a gun license. I've gone shooting down in Florida though, down there it's insanely easy to get a license like that.

Guns over here are expensive piece of item that you don't get to see in individuals hands because there is no legal basis for it even though government has been found wanting in keeping everyone safe. If they had legalize it, I am sure I would have had access to one and won't even need to rely in government protection as it is now when within the twinkle of an eye, anything can happen to you and you are helpless.

No im not licenced to carry firearms, securitas and police have firearms.
I think Finnish Police is not corrupted.
If i need to choose; mining rig or firearm. I choose mining rig.

In Finland, the crime rate is quite low, and therefore you may not need a firearm. Also, the cops are quite efficient, unlike those in the United States. That said, the situation is changing due to immigration from Somalia and Afghanistan. Look at what happened in Sweden. Please don't repeat the same mistakes in Finland.

I don't have a gun license, and therefore I can't own a gun. That said, getting a gun license is extremely difficult in my country. There are a lot of bureaucratic hurdles and you have to prove that you are under threat from the criminals.
Russia will never allow citizens to carry weapons. Your government is afraid of its own people. Permission to bear arms exists only in a democratic society. I have a Glock and an AK-47. I love guns and I am very glad I don't live in Russia.

You are very misinformed and immature. Hunting firearms are quite common among Russians. Semi-automatics less so, than again your country doesnt have two million of Chechens within its borders and even still laws vary between the many states of America.

You think that the privilege to have AK-47 in private custody gives you somehow magical power to topple government? Did you ever thought about why nuclear warheads are not (anywhere in the world) owned by private individuals? Did you, punk?

Love my Colt .45 1911 that I use as my sidearm.

You don't need a permit to own a gun

As long as you aren't a felon or committed to a mental institution, you can own a gun

I don't live in Russia, you idiot. I am from South Asia. Anyway for you Ukrainians, anyone who doesn't believe in your pro-NATO BS will be a Russian. That said, I believe that in Russia the gun laws are much more relaxed. Owning a firearm is not that difficult there.

LOLed at this comment chain. I wondered what made him think you are Russian. Anyway, it seems they are really a bit relaxed with gun ownership. I've seen videos of civilians all toting guns as they chase down gays. What a beautiful country to live in.

I don't have a gun license, its a pain in the butt to get one.
That said we do have shooting ranges, paintball and airsoft guns are perfectly legal and usable along with laser tag for those that are scared of the blisters and bruises and we got a ton of gaming fields.
So i'm not complaining I got enough good simulators here to make do ^^.

I don't, but I would like to own one. These days you can never be really sure of your safety. Even if this third world country I'm in is not at war, it's better to have something to greet people who'll try to take advantage of me.

Having a license to carry a firearm here in our country is no longer needed as long as you have a relative on government then you're good to go especially those politicians here.

In India, citizens can have a gun with them only if there is serious threat to their life and license will be issued to have a NPB gun (Non-Probihibated Bore). Also the process to get the gun license is very long. As per my knowledge, i have seen people who have a gun and most importantly it is not required.

I do not have a license for weapons, because in our country this is a rather complicated procedure. We have to hope for luck.

So, American BitcoinTalkers... How many 2nd Amendment Lovers do we have in the house ?

Oh I love the 2nd Amendment! But that's not the poll question you asked. You asked if I have a license to own a gun.

Why is that gun owners have to fight so much for a right they already have and aren't in jeopardy of losing?

Let's be honest, not one major politician has taken a legitimate step toward reversing the 2nd Amendment. What's the insecurity you all have? Is that you're trying to convince yourself or give yourself a reason to own a gun? Is that you're realizing that unless you live deep in bear country (like fucking Alaska or the Northern Midwest-West US) you don't really need a gun?

The only people looking threatened in this talk is the gun owners that keep screaming "I'll take my guns, you can keep the change!"

Thanks dude, no one wants to take your guns...they just want the mentally ill or perennially criminal to have a slightly harder time getting their hands on one.
