So I have two mining programs running through my Minergate account on two different computers, both mining Monero. However, my Dashboard says I am mining 0 currencies. But under the Monero tab it is showing I have mined 0.000028007383 Monero (Unconfirmed).

Am I doing something wrong?

100% ignorant newbie, so be nice :/

That is unconfirmed balance and dont't worried there is will be added to your monero confirmed balance.

Is it advisable to use MSI RX580 with nicehash? also if using nicehash is it okay to select multiple algorithms?

Yes no problem to select multiple algorithms in Nicehash. That software is designed specifically to change to the most profitable algorithm when the software see it happening. Example, you are mining Ethereum with that RX 580 card as that is where it is most efficient. In a certain moment the profitability of Ethereum falls down but Zcash increases, in this case Nicehash algorithm switch to Zcash automatically.

I've yet to read a good thing about Minergate. Nicehash is probably the better option.

The unconfirmed amount will be credited to your account once the blocks mature.

But... I know you are just starting out, but I don't recommend you continue with Minergate.  You will get low hashrates through their software, and though it looks slick, will be a waste of time.  Probably the best starter/newbie miner software is Nicehash's tool.  It will teach you a little bit about hashrates, different and profitable coins, and you will be earning a little bit so that you can continue reading and learning.  Then when you are ready, there are a ton of options here in this forum.  Anything from whole Operating Systems dedicated to mining or profit-switching, to specific mining programs for specific coins and more.

Thank you, I was facing the same issue as him and will explore Nicehash. Smiley
