Try GPT-cash, see some of the same community members on board, only going to week 2.
$GenX also with some community members from DO has a signature campaign, but the 5 week airdrop has finished.
PRiVCY another privacy coin with DO communitymembers, has a minor airdrop for a year if you are a 10k holder, each month an amount will be divided.
And then there is X-cash monthly drop for 2 years, a lot of more drops outhere.  But these are my trails after DeepOnion.
Good luck!

How about Rebellious?
Although its airdrop is very complicated.
One may gain about 0.3 ETH value REBL token at most.

Can you tell us more about Rebellious? I thought their airdrop has already been completed time ago... Still running?

Well it seems I missed out on DeepOnion, am now trying to keep a look out for next big airdrop that's simple to enter and with the next potentially well put together altcoins

It is happening every week, you can join now

Join what?
You mean the sig campaign  Cheesy
Airdrop LOL

Every airdrop has rules on how to get the free coins. Many airdrops require you to be already rich of BTCs in order to get their coins (Byteball, Bitcore), something which most of people can't do. Others to have very high Bitcointalk ranking (Bitsend), which requires having years of activity. DeepOnion has a different approach, everyone who was in bitcointalk when they started the campaign can get them, but they have to do something to get the money. Just like in real life.

I don't mean to go off topic, but as someone who was not around for Byteball and Bitcore, what were the BTC holding requirements?  For as expensive as BTC is, it's hard for people to get just one bitcoin these days.

Can someone sort of explain to a newbie what an airdrop actually is?

I understand the concept of and ICO as a group begins building the capital needed to launch their idea and see if they can make it a reality; but this airdrop thing escaped me. From context alone I suppose they are giving away their coins in some fashion in order to build interest in the product? Is that basically the long and short of it?

Thank-you for the information.  I will work to get my status up to Member and try to get in.
I'm sorry but you will no be able to join even if you reach Member rank, because your account was created after July 12th.

Yeah, that's the problem that a lot of people are having ... there is a solid cut-off date that you can't apply for signature campaign, instead of being able to rank-up and join.  I was going to join, but read the rules, and could not.  Oh well.  I thought I read their air drop would go on for months, several rounds, so maybe we'll get lucky and they'll push the date back in the future....

How much did people actually make from that deeponion airdrop ? Was it worth it or not ? I didn't really check how it worked exactly. I know you got slightly more airdrop for higher rank but it was not massive difference that is why I have interest in finding the value of the airdrop. I see some people also say deeponion is a scam. I am not sure.

As of now the airdrop is worth more than participating in a regular bitcoin signature campaign. And it could worth a lot more depending on the price of each coins on the exchange.

Hi connexus, I read your reply by chance and noticed that your DeepOnion signature is not correct, you need to replace the ?ref=XXX with your profile id number.
There is a total of 4 mouse over link need to be replaced with your id, otherwise airdrop will fail.

Yes, there are 34 more airdrops to go.
There are a lot more people trying to get in now so it's going to be closer to 200 per week I imagine.

This was the airdrop distribution during last week airdrop...
Rewards Per Rank
[Jr. Member] => 264.666960741 ONION
[Member] => 297.750330834 ONION
[Full Member] => 330.105633803 ONION

[Hero Member] => 397.000441112 ONION
[Legendary] => 430.083811204 ONION

If you can see the reward for jr member as compared to those who are already legendary member is almost doubled.
And that is not the only benefit of being able to participate in the airdrop..
If you would look at coinmarketcap the value of onion is at 4usd and very close to 5 usd...
This all happened within a span of 1 month and a half since the beginning of the campaign..
Making the onion one of the top gainers in cryptocurrency...
Hopefully you may check the true value of onion..

I can just recommend to you to participate on the DeepOnion airdrop. And as it still going on for couple more month still a lot of time to prepare for one of the next airdrop of deeponion. What I actually like most is the possibility of staking through the wallet. This sounds promising. I am also just quite new into this, but it is really existing. On the official Announcement thread you also can read through, what people were making already. I guess they got arround 260 upto 450 or probably even more deeponion per airdrop, depending on their Bitcoin Forum level.

It's still going on for another 35 weeks or so. I've gotten almost 4000 Onions (including translation bounty and a bonus) in 4-5 weeks before my account got hacked.

At current rates 4000 onions value 0.927 BTC... So I'd say around 4000$ or so. Not too bad for one month of writing 10 posts a week Smiley

Current rates have changed in 4 days, and now 4000 onions are 2.62 BTC worth, which means 11,450$.

It's a signature campaign ffs, not an airdrop. I would stay away of this premined shitcoin.

Also, being part of a scam, makes you an accomplice as well.
So far there is no scam though. And based on several factors I am leaning more towards a FUD campaign on a legitimate project than a scam attempt. While I'm still not 100% convinced that the project is not a scam, I have far more reasons to believe that it isn't.
The future will tell and in the time it makes sense to accumulate and support the project if you believe in it. If it turns out to be a scam it will come down crashing real fast anyways, so there's no issue.
Furthermore, everybody in the unregulated crypto scene should be aware of potential scams and not throw money out that they can't afford to lose. The high risk is exactly why the rewards in this market are so ludicrous right now and anybody with a brain is aware of that. The rest are gamblers that need to fall on their face to learn this very important lesson.

Well, if you'd sell now the Onions you've got from the DeepOnion airdrop, if you had started from the very beginning (five weeks ago or a bit more) depending on your rank, at current rates in fiat you could have made already from 3000-4000$ up to the double amount. And if you had managed to sell during a little pump on the exchange, these amounts would have been even 3X. But of course, if you'd sell now, you would be excluded from any future DeepOnion airdrop.

Shoot, I wish I got in 5 weeks ago. This is my second drop (Tomorrow).

I thought the airdrop continued for a few more months ? You can still join I believe, but you do need to wear a signature. Like mine  Tongue

Well it seems I missed out on DeepOnion, am now trying to keep a look out for next big airdrop that's simple to enter and with the next potentially well put together altcoins

It wasn't exactly an airdrop as they required to wear their signatures and many more conditions.

You could check daily for new airdrops in those two sections:

Bitcoin Forum > Alternate cryptocurrencies > Announcements (Altcoins)      https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0

Bitcoin Forum > Alternate cryptocurrencies > Marketplace (Altcoins) > Bounties (Altcoins)     https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0

Just your Ctfl+F and search for airdrop on new topics.

I found a few, they are requiring to already own large amount of BTC.  Something I'm trying to avoid since I don't have currently.
You’ve found a few? What were the coins that were giving free coins for having Bitcoins?

I know that Stellar was one of the coins that offered coins for the proof of the individual holding Bitcoins, all that the person had to do when they plan on getting the money from them was just to sign a message from the wallet that had the BTC within a certain time period. I prefer to participate in airdrops when they offer their coins to get sent out without having to download a wallet or having to do a social media task because it’s pretty easy doing it like that.
