For some reason no menu is showing up at the top of my window. I did a Google search and found someone else w/ the same problem, here's the link:

However using the Alt-search function to get the menu doesn't help, because that only gives me the "options" menu. I used the .tar.gz file. Guess I should have used the repository. If I uninstall and then re-install will I have to wait another day for it to sync? Or is there another fix for this?

Don't know about fix but...

Make sure to choose right package.
