So because you got scammed by being a idiot, we have to pay you back? makes so much sense....

My statement was in regards to the obligations of the "Gold Coin Talk forum" owners/admins and not the GLD community at large.

Thats still stupid, seeing as they have nothing to do with the trade you made

Thanks for sharing your viewpoint even though I disagree. The way I have conducted my businesses over the years is when a company representative screws up, the company provides restitution. Obviously that is not going to happen in this case which I understand.

... and I do appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.

uh yeah a forum on a web like GLD is hardly a company, just people allowed to mod a forum, plust Krx4 was acting on his own in a transaction with you eg privity of contract

You complaint maybe against KRx4 or the security of the forum, but then even the latter is probally covered buy some term or condition that you signed up undner.

.... interesting observations.

Microguy, i like you. you're a nice guy. And no i haven't forgotten about that .027 btc you sent me. i'm just saying that GLDcointalk.org is collectively owned now, because we did a donation drive to purchase the site from Kr4x. none of us have enough btc or GLD to pay you back. i'm sorry he scammed you. he always seemed a little sketchy

Based on the private messages I've been receiving from an individual claiming to be the new administrator of your forum, things have not improved very much in terms of professionalism, tact, or "sketchiness".

You have 2 legit options to get a payback from the 'community':

- Announce a massive ripple BTC IOU giveaway, and grab some Bitstamp.BTC from the people who trust you.
- Build a few shitty altcoins, pre-mine them, and hope for one of those to make it to cryptsy

Both are tolerated here, if not encouraged.

kr4x does not represent the GLDCoin community any more.

I am truly sorry for your loss MicroGuy. Sad

Yet he did represent the community at the time of the transaction, and therefore it is ultimately the responsibility of that community to rectify this situation. I appreciate your condolences and expect nothing more and nothing less than the coins I purchased. Thank you again for your attention to this matter.

No, he did not. He represented himself, wtf are you about?

I hold some GLD though I don't find myself as part of any community, don't like that group stuff but how on earth someone scamming you is representing any community and how on earth that community is ultimately responsible for anything.

I'm sorry to see you scammed mate but next time be more careful whoever you dealing with and use escrow. That doesn't have anything with anyone from any community. It means heck all what forum someone owns or not, anyone can setup the forum. Kr4x is the guy who thought he'll be rich in a week with goldcoin, lol, and got nervous in last few days when realized it won't happen in a week, lol. His behavior in last few days should be good reason enough to not deal with him without caution. When you see a man saying something is great today and something is shit tomorrow, than you see what kind of man he is.

In my opinion that kind of behavior either indicates someone else had access to his account or he has multiple personality disorder, or he is a social engineer.

In any case Kr4x does NOT represent the GLDcoin community, and from what I can tell someones already setting up a replacement community forum just in case.

Please don't make rash judgments, this may unravel itself soon enough. From what I've seen of late, Kr4x isn't the only one claiming to have been hacked- so take care folks.

I recently got a hat stolen. It was a limited edition Babylon 5 baseball hat identical to the one John Sheridan got in the series. I expect everyone here to chip in and get me another hat of similar valueidity. Thanks, you're awesome (those of you who buy me a new hat ofc, those who don't are evil scammers worthy of the scammer tag and/or poisoned cookies).

When was it decided that he represented the forum. I am honestly sorry for your loss, however, I know that is significantly more GLD that I have let alone can pay back, and just because he owns the Gold Coin Talk forum does not make him a representation of the community. If you expect the coins you own, people can give you donations, though frankly, the only person you should expect to get them from is here.

was Krx4 the guy who put GLD out in the first place???

I like the way GLD was given out! it basically got around early miners hoging all the coins so much...so I as well am a long term believer in GLD due to this difference to most other alt coins

No he is just the admin/owner of a GLD forum nothing more.

No he was not, he really only created the forum and has since jumped of the GLD train and onto different coins. There are posts from him in other GLD threads on he saying the coin is dead and that he's dumping it.

It's not tbe responsibility of the community to repay coins that have been scammed by someone who claimed to represent the community. If admin, or member of the gld community you should feel the same for all regarding trades unless they have been known as a trusted person.

I'm sorry for your loss, but I don't think the community has that amount of coins to spare, even in the case that we wanted to repay you.

Damn, that sounds highly unlikely of kr4x. if true..... im at a loss for words.

sounds exactly like the kr4x I know. tried to blackmail everyone at goldcoin. claimed to be the mod, he deleted the files and he was dumping gold and demanded us to pay or he would close the site in 30min.

Theymos, I am logged in by both iPhone and desktop at all times and signing out of one never affects the other so I'm wondering something. Wouldn't it be possible for someone's account to be hacked, but them be online using it at the same time as the hacker and thus completely unaware of it?

Sad to see you getting scammed bro, if he got hacked, it's still his fault. He should keep his account secure and as he's admin of GLDtalk he should atleast give you goldcoins and finish this dispute.
