Lol at who sold at 70 believing the trolls spamming "bitcoin is dying" Cheesy

I am a proud "holder."  NO regrets here!   Grin

OK,  maybe the only regret is not being able to play the market like some of you can, but hey, I did not lose anything and that is good.

Gox. US account frozen, - price goes up from $100 to $130 people buy and withdraw XBT.

Gox. Stops US withdrawals - (I speculate - they had USD liquidity issues with frozen funds and lawyer bills. )

Gox. Dumps XBT holdings on the market - Price falls to $65

Gox. Opens USD withdrawals

Someone big fish gets it and buys in $1 bar USD. Price shoots up.

The sheep follow and price shoots up.

Well the initial move up was caused by Ben Bernanke being dovish on the withdrawal of QE - all hard assets rallied, gold and silver went up as well as bitcoins - I think some hedge funds as now using bitcoins to hedge against inflation.

However, today there was another bitcoin specific development - Coinbase allows instant bitcoin buys for their level 2 customers. See this thread on reddit where all the coinbase customers are happily buying coins like sweets:

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1i3xs2/coinbasecom_level_2_verified_accounts_can_buy/

I think coinbase then goes to the exchanges to purchase the bitcoins in the back end, and that's supporting bitcoin too.

I'm glad that I haven't sold mine when it went down below $70. But it still needs to rise a bit for me to make any profit because unfortunately the last time I bought BTC is when it was @ $110 (after falling down from $130+).

regular sellers can use exchangers that exchange automatically like bitpay. meanwhile it can be as usual, the best store of value, certainly better than gold

downtrends? based on 2011, pff... it was just mtgox weirdness that triggered downs and ups
