Getting 25.3 Mh/s ETH, on RX570: running on 1150 / 2000, -93 mV, PowerLimit -15%

Is it the best what I can get on DAG 160?
Anyone has a better result on RX570 / RX580 ?

Thanks

Yes aim for 27-28 at least.
There might be some headroom on the memory clock still.
You need to tweak the card more and push memory a bit more.
Download Hwinfo while you tweak and check for memory errors.

Dual or single mining? For some reason on my 570 I'm getting about 25-26 MH/s either way, so I'm dual mining on mine (right now ETH & DCR) Getting 25.5/635 doing that. My 580's I get about 30.5 single and 28.5/450 (have to lower dual mining on the 580's... no clue why) dual.

All single mining (ETH)
My card is Sapphire RX570 8GB Samsung. Can get to 25, but not 26. Something is off with the straps.
Need to look into it.

When dual mining - gets me to 24.8/740 (ETH/DCR)

Which BIOS mod are you using?

Right now I'm using Anorak's for my 570 - I'm planning to do my own this weekend. Would be nice, but I doubt it, if I could squeeze another MH/s or two out of it.

it should be higher for an RX570, which driver do you have? Use the Aug23 Blockchain driver or get the new Adrenalin and switch to "Compute" mode in the AMD global settings...

Tried the latest driver - had 24.9 at best (compute mode)
Re-installed the Aug23 Blockchain driver - running at 25.3 Mh/s

Now I wonder if I can get any better at all.
Planning to try some new BIOS mods (haven't seen any appropriate though except Anoraks)

Learning how to mod the BIOS'es yourself is a good idea. In the mean time I did a couple for you to try. A 1500, 1625 and 1700 timings. I've also found playing with the power and fan settings tends to work better in a multi-GPU rig than trying to manually set everything.

Good luck!

*EDIT* - Use these at your own risk, I have no way to test them and I'm not responsible either way Smiley

@dejan_p

I found ands use some moded version from anorak.tech but some card is working with these mod some cards arent.

If anybody moded my orginal bios, i can flash it myself.

Thanks in advance.

Follow these steps.

-Download ATIwinflash, (make sure only the card you want to flash is connected) and save your bios-call it RX580_original.rom or something meaningful.
-Then use https://github.com/jaschaknack/PolarisBiosEditor to open the RX580_original.rom and make sure the mem timings show up. Click 1 Click timing patch (see image below). A popup box will show it is going to apply good mem timings so go ahead and click okay.
-Now save the bios as RX580_modded.rom and open Atiwinflash (make sure the card you want to flash is selected) navigate to where you saved the modded rom and select program. The screen will pause for 30sec to a minute (do not interrrupt this process).
-Apply pixel patcher after if needed (device mamanger code 43 means apply the pixel patcher).
-Run the miner software and tweak your OC settings.

i remember 470s and 570s sapphire with micron memory (8gb version) gave me quite a headache trying to squeeze the max out of them

it might not be applicable for 580, but on the 470s i used the 1625 strap, 1070/1950, giving me around 27.x mh stable. anything above 1950 would crash, freeze, give me a bsod

the reason why i'm including info regarding similar card is that when the cards kept me busy, couldn't find much info that was useful to me regarding models with micron memory

do you need instructions how to edit the bios/flash it, or you would like someone to copy mod the bios for you? i would suggest to try do it by yourself (carefully), because you might end up getting better results with some other straps/settings than the one you would receive in an modded bios
