That would be one part. However, a place for Bitcoin holders would still be productive in other facets. Lack of FUD, and you can be assured to be discussing with like minded people. While it is not practical to donate 1BTC anymore, there should be a special section for those who HAVE that amount.

Sounds like you want a circle-jerking safe space where people pat each other on the backs and say how great it is to hold.

You could always start a self-moderated quality thread for holders in "Serious discussion" section, set participation requirements (signed message from address with min X btc) and see whether there's enough demand to keep such thread alive.

There should be a special Bitcoin discussion section that one can gain access to by signing a message with an address with at least 1BTC.

This section would enable bagholders to talk without signature spammers, trolls, and newbies crowding the discussion, as well as make trades with others.

What do you guys think? Feedback below would be appreciated!
What scammers usually do?

They collect info about other peoples funds.

Go away.

A $1,000,000 donation is not practical.
There should be a special section for holders.

Why just for holders of x amount though and who gets to decide the amount and based on what? What makes you think there's demand for it as well? As I've suggested in the past I think there should be one or two new donation ranks though - just go with Gold and Silver seeing as we already have copper (maybe even a higher value one such as Diamond or whatever). Among the benefits of one of the pricier ranks could give you access to a 'hidden' board I suppose but not sure how eager people would be just for access to it.

And what happens if someone buys a Bitcoin to gain access, and then sells to to recover the cost?

Can't this just be applied to merit or feedback etc? Everyone will try buy their way around any rules or requirements if they can.

The Services board has many phone verification threads: someone pays $0.50 to verify a phone number. The same would happen to get access to this exclusive "rich club board".

Besides, owning 1 Bitcoin doesn't make you a HODLer, you need to own the same coins for a long period to be a HODLer.

The whole idea here is to be anonymous. You're anonymous so long as you don't connect your BTC address to a known identity like the profile here in the forum/twitter/facebook/email etc. So, making list for the hackers/scammers/spammer to be after you?
Its better to make section without signatures with access to people with member or higher level with no need to proof of anything.

So, it means the section excludes people who don't hold or 'bet' on BTC and just interestingly watching how BTC turns out? People who are just interested in technical advancement and the resulting price and not holding anything? Like-minded people? How can one make an informed choice with just BTC is good perspective? Just curious. I have no objection for doing so. Smiley

If you donate 10 BTC, you can get a special "Donator" title and a green "who's online" color. If you donate 50 BTC, you get VIP status and the ability to create a custom title for yourself. Both Donators and VIPs also get access to an exclusive forum section. You must contact theymos prior to donating if you want to take advantage of this offer: you will be given a unique donation address. See this forum topic for more details.

I can also make a reasonable assumption that those who hold at least 1BTC do not need to signature spam.

It would be a place for quality discussion, where you can be assured everyone has a stake in Bitcoin and is not spreading FUD.

So - a place that does not allow paid signatures.

What would be the end of this?  To provide an easy list for spammers?

Is there something we can achieve by having an audience consisting only of funded people?
