If you look at the code there are more references to Dash than to Straks.

STRAKS is a DASH fork with it's own technology on top, we forked STRAKS therefore there will be references to DASH.

As we stated before, we used STRAKS as our base fork with a few customizations, we believe they've made a great job in terms of blockchain. There are references to Bitcoin and DASH indeed.

In order to solo mine you'll have to use the CPU wallet miner or run a private pool for GPU mining. If you are using a private pool make sure you are using the right algo.
