I feel like you have your information wrong. I don't think the top level of pins belonged to hard btc, could you post photos of the backs of them? Because everything from that series was numbered.

"Set" in this particular context is meant as "A complete set of the (badge) designs". Something that has not been sold as an "off the shelf" item. One "Design Set" has been sold before (by me - again, badges only no other goods included) when I first received them as stock from HardBTC. They were made FOR HardBTC by a third party.
All badges here are of the Lapel Pin style fixing.
Each badge IS numbered but they are NOT of a particular number (i.e. all badges are #12).
