We really don't have the power to take down their posts but just to warn some who are planning to buy but at the end if their posts still exists and they have other modes of communication still a lot of people will be interested in this shit.

We could introduce honey pots.   Make posts selling merits, then flag the ones who buy.  You throw the little ones back with a warning and education on why buying merit is not a good idea.  It is useless to flag sellers in a forum where they can make unlimited accounts.

Sweet idea.  Sounds fun.

 Tongue

Flag supported.

I saw other people also offering to sell merits.
Maybe we need some rule for merit trading, as we see a lot of merit abuse.

Recently I discovered one group of farmed accounts that abused bounties and merits.
There are a lot more of them sadly

Yeah I have suggested this type of entrapment strategy for DT members in some of my previous posts but so far I haven't seen anyone volunteering to do the work, maybe it's because it will take up too much of their or they are afriad that other DT members might take it the wrong way and they might actually believe that they actually seeling merits or accounts. I personally don't have the time to do so myself. But if this is done by a DT member or two then actually people might actually think twice before transacting into one of these newbie account sellers.
Opps! If merit sell post made by DT members, do you believe that someone will ask for buy merit in case if they know about DT system? And I believe whoever will attempt to buy merit they are well experienced about merit system and DT system as well. Only thig can be done behind of alt account. If you want to identify actual merit buyer then likely you will need to create new fresh account. Then perhaps you will found who is real merit buyer and relevant them eventually. But its matter of time, you could do it if you have enough time on your hand.

Good idea, though wouldn't there be an issue with proving someone actually bought the merits they received?  I doubt a merit seller would actually just give out merits to good posts, but that would be the recipient's argument if they got tagged.

Anyway, I supported the flag and negged that scumsucker.  I still can't believe a single merit goes for that much, especially since it takes a whole lot to rank up to even Full Member.  I'm not sure why anyone would pay that much or even if anyone is.

Supported the flag but the sad thing about this is even if the we tag and create a flag against his account the account selling and merit selling still continues for the ones who are really interested in buying another account or earning a few merits. Previously @Coolcryptovator also made the same topic.
Now @hardaccount reacts again with an Alt account.

Very boring, it seems that he keeps making trouble here, a thousand red trusts don't make @hardaccount stop, keep messing around in this forum.

Support is given, very annoying.

Good work OP, scumbags like him need to get tagged. I wish we still had the old DT regime and such rats will be kept under control but too many leftists around the forum these days.

You're right, I read in telegram every day that somebody was cheated when buying merits, there are whole channels where there are a lot of such sellers.
Speaking technically, most of the merit sellers are either lying or plain scamming. They can't generate merits to sell. Like I wouldn't think someone selling merits is a high-quality poster and have actually earned them. It's time theymos resets all the default provided merits of all the accounts to null.

Tagged & supported red flags. Merit sellers are like a virus of forum. Expose them wherever you find them. Its pretty clear that this is alt account of hardaccount who have got tag from multiple DT members. I am worried about that perhaps someone could get scammed from this user and likely buyer will not revealed the truth due to fear of get tag.

Anyway, good job OP.
