Great research work and you are right he is more likely to be SN. He had made huge contributions to the community.

Some will even tell you about Hal Finney that they believed he's Satoshi Nakamoto himself and you keep getting different appellations over Hal because he's a unique existance of his time and had contributed alot in the cyberspace of digital technology we all benefited today, aside that he had worked together with Satoshi Nakamoto towards the success of bitcoin and also being the first to receive bitcoin transaction from Satoshi, he's a cypherpunk every one into digital currency and technology will trail of his footsteps to their own ladder of success along the line, i also write about his death on tgis thread and recently bumped his remembrance https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcoin-piooner-hal-finney-and-eight-years-remembrance-5411596 it's nine years, gone already.

Hal Finney's account is making posts.
Hal Finney, a ghost?

Would you mind updating this topic with information that Hal account was hacked and made some duplicated posts before theymos locked that account in 2017, please.

Quote
I kept his account unlocked because I thought his family members might want to look at his PMs or something, but this is looking like his account was almost certainly compromised. So I locked his account.

The person who controls his account gained access via email-password-reset, so his email is probably also compromised.

"Hal Finney = Satoshi Nakamato?"

In many ways, yes ... Hal made vital and important contributions to early Bitcoin development ...
I have doubt it is, but that still remains a doubt on me. Since no one can sign a message in a hardcoded block address or let's called Genesis block address. We can't consider Hal is the real Bitcoin creator or the real Satoshi Nakamoto.

Okay, let assume, what if Hal Finney really is Satoshi Nakamoto??!
There's an angle on which Hal Finney is keeping the anonymity of Bitcoin. And if that is his real motives, then having a code name as the main developer is
te first thing to do, and look at how he was able to do it successfully. He was able to hide the identity and has successfully grown a platform that was just an idea. I'm basic this assumption/theory with the twit he posted saying "Looking at ways to add anonymity of Bitcoin" that he posted in 2009.
What do you think?

Anways, thank you OP for the compilation and sharing of Hal Finney's history.

Great man, great topic! +MERIT

"Hal Finney = Satoshi Nakamato?"

In many ways, yes ... Hal made vital and important contributions to early Bitcoin development ...

However, the originator "Nakamoto" is, I believe, someone else entirely (and not Dorian either!) ...

Excerpt from:

"...While everyone knows that Satoshi Nakamoto started working on Bitcoin halfway 2007, and first executed the Bitcoin coding part, and only then started writing the Bitcoin whitepaper last minute, as he explained to Hal Finney on November 8, 2008…"

...

Perhaps the most truthful thing Hal told us in regards to "Satoshi" is/was this ...

...snip...

... Today, Satoshi's true identity has become a mystery. But at the time, I thought I was dealing with a young man of Japanese ancestry who was very smart and sincere. I've had the good fortune to know many brilliant people over the course of my life, so I recognize the signs. ...
