Hi guys,

Understand the confusion, let me try to explain and you decide what is next.

Indeed I made a starting bid (1.03) on the gold looking Titan coin, since I fancied owning a loaded AU one day. When I then later browsed Titanbtc.com, I realized my mistake. As clearly mentioned in the first post, a goldline Titan (2013) is auctioned (I was not aware of its existence), not a golden Titan (2014).

I then sent MJ a PM explaining my mistake and asking if he was ok that I would withdraw my bid, and if not I would put my bid back into place. However realizing it was nighttime in the US and therefore likely a delayed response, I already deleted my post to not block other potential buyers from making an offer. What I however did not consider is email alerts. I thought it was settled after contacting OP, which is clearly not the case.

Hope the above sets things straight. However if you Agrawas or one of the other collectible regulars thinks this sets a bad precedent, which I can imagine, let me know and I will put in my bid again (and after all it is still a nice looking coin Smiley).

Cheers,
bitebits

No worries bro - just wanted to make sure i it wasn’t my mistake from what I saw as a bid and MJ is very fair about these things if someone thinks they made a mistake..

Would have been better if u had strike out the bid and say the bid was cancelled upon discussing with OP.. It just keeps the transparency on the forum.

Thanks!!

Not sure what happened here, But i do remember seeing another bid on one/both of the titans and got the notification for it too in the email. I have no issues buying these coins but I think if someone bids and retracts the bid, it should be done openly and by requesting the OP on the forum openly and not just delete their messages.
