Yea I'm not going to go as far to call this fiasco a "collapse"  by any means.  Politicians bounce back from way worth then this stuff frequently.  So this is sort of like childs play no pun intended.

i wouldn't be surprised to learn that there are paid trolls here to discredit TBF as a side channel attack on Bitcoin.
That particular form of attack wouldn't be possible at all if there was no TBF to discredit.

I do believe that fact, and the likelihood of just such an attack, was noted by more than one person when the idea was first floated.

That's a funny conspiracy theory. But would it matter? What matters is if the allegations against the bitcoin foundation are true or not, and they all happen to be true.

Perhaps the foundation will continue to exist, but it has lost all credibility, and is even more invalid than it was when it started. Combined with a bunch of members leaving, that's pretty much a collapse.

No one is going to join or donate to the bitcoin foundation anymore.
Every volunteer organization goes through schisms. That's why after a thousand years we have nearly 20k 40k Christian denominations. BF will survive and grow. You are welcome to start your own. Then we will have two in six years.

No collapsing in sight. Only evolution. The foundation is only a few years old. Just look at Europe or the U.S. some 240 years ago, everything was shaky back then.

I've read much about the foundation and I know that there is just too much controversy about their action. But not all the members are controversial figures, I believe that those who resigned did it in order to keep the foundation's reputation healthy. To me this doesn't sound like a collapse.

Seems more and more that the foundation is a joke.  Merely having Brock Pierce newly elected to the board after having Mark Karpeles on board so long is a siign that having upstanding members of good character is but an afterthought.

It's whoever can pump the most money into the Bitcoin ecosystem, rather than who can best represent the community.

It isn't collapsing even though I'd want it to collapse. They have just made so many wrong decisions time after time.

you may disagree with how the foundation is operating but there is no evidence, or even reason to believe, that it's collapsing.
