No, BitMarket.pl is not scam. It's one of the largest bitcoin exchanges in Poland.

The user who started this thread, however, is a fraudster and here's just a brief summary of his/her activities.

For starters, he/she registered on the exchange using false personal data, even though is is prohibited by the website terms of service due to the AML laws.

Then it was determined that he/she has been withdrawing fiat money to bank accounts associated with criminal activity (as we were alerted by the police at that time), among with a group of other accounts created around that time. Therefore the account has been blocked.

Then he/she claimed that "oh I am sorry, I just entered wrong registration data" and told the site administrators to change the personal data on the account to a completely different person, backed by a "photocopy" of a ID document of that other person.

The photocopy of the ID he/she she provided us has been stolen, which was determined by us by contacting the actual person depicted on the document by postal mail.

Nevermind the simple fact that despite providing a "photocopy" of an ID of a Polish person, he/she is not able to speak a single word of Polish, communicating with us in a crooked English instead.

I have seen dozens of scams being pulled in the bitcoin world, but this one is just so blatant than it stands out from the others.

Edit: Also, beware the "verified PayPal account + VISA card" services advertised in the signature of this user. As we determined, he/she used the account on our exchange to fund these prepaid VISA cards, which were ordered in a Polish bank also by providing false (possibly stolen?) personal data. If you use such a card or PayPal for anything, you might get in some serious trouble.
