Can someone who has been here a while fill me in on how he would have perpetuated this fraud when he says 'escrow accepted'? Would he have used another dummy account to vouch for him, etc?

Either use an account that seems legit for escrow, or try to convince someone to not use escrow by giving a decent discount on the price. I'm sure there are other ways as well.
