I've had a bad cold the last couple of days and not feeling very well but trying to figure out this puzzle has made me feel a little better.

I haven't seen anyone mention it but in the image the first thing that I noticed is that it says "find the seed phrase in the this picture"

So the word "the" should be of interest.

Next, "Welcome To The Brave New World", the "the" part says, I think, "need a system, for part in mans, to, agree in a single, history of the order"

I take this to mean that to find the correct order of the seed phrase then work your way from history to now.

So, the 12 words, what could they be? In what order?

1st word: I think that the statue of liberty is the starting point. "Pay for the future. This is the first prediction" is written in grey letters near it. There is also "Only Real Bitcoin" written on it. I think the first word could be something like history, statue, liberty, real or something similar.

2nd word: To the right of the statue of liberty is a clock. The two hands can make an arrow head and the red ticker points the direction to go. I think the second word is time or clock. Or maybe arrow.

3rd word: Pyramid. Or money.

4th word: Donald Trump and Joe Biden next. So the fourth word could be something like vote, election or such like.

5th word: There's a statue with some profanity and red graffitti so graffitti is a possible word but I'm going to go with the seattle tower next. So the fifth word could be tower.

6th word: The image above says "black lives matter" and "I can't breathe", so black or breathe could be the word but I think the word is matter because the top of the tower points at the word matter.

7th word: The security cameras could mean the next word is camera.

8th and 9th word: The security camera point a yellow line over to the top centre and the words are "Order and Stability", so I think the eighth word is order and the ninth word is stable. Or it could be the other way around.

10th word: the yellow line goes around all the people wearing masks, so the word could be mask. Or pandemic. Also you can see the number "10" in the text above them sideways, twice, so I think it's the 10th word out of 12.

11th and 12th word: It says "covid 19 is a hoax 5g is the killer" so I am thinking the word might be phone. There is also a graph of the market so the last word could be market. Or the other way around, 11th is market and 12th is phone.

The statue of liberty holding the flag and the "Stop", with the hand circled, means stop moving around the picture?

I am assuming that there might be a password phrase as well but this is a s far as I have got.

I am not going to try to access the bitcoin because I do not know how to, but good luck to whoever is still trying to solve the puzzle.

Even if I am totally wrong with all of my guesses (which I probably am) it was a fun thing to do while I have been battling against a bad cold. It was fun

It's been over 2 years and no one has claimed the funds. I haven't looked on it, but the fact that it's unclaimed for so many months, makes me doubt of its credibility.

It is either going to be 12 words or 24 words. Almost no wallet software supports the other word counts.

I was thinking the clock hands could be a hint to the order, 1 pointing to some word, 2 pointing to another word, etc. making 12 words, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
Maybe the chronological order of the events in the puzzle could be a hint. Covid 19, US Election, BLM, even the transaction dates.

As for signing a message to verify the authenticity, oh well. 🤷‍♀️

Do we have any further proof of the authenticity of the puzzle, other than the image being designed elaborately and the outputs still being unspent after years? For we know:

Transaction was made on May 2020.
First appearance of the image is on Reddit by /u/stsh_n on October 2020.

The transaction also had another output of 0.05 BTC, which is still unspent today, but not mentioned as part of the puzzle in the Reddit post.

Regarding trying the combinations, it's pretty much infeasible. If the puzzle is authentic, there has to be an absolute pattern in which you can gather the words and their order. You can come up with so many different words even if you look at clues appearing in the image. I believe the first reasonable step would be to come up with where words come from or how to get them, and then their order, and evidence of the system working.

It's been way too long since the puzzle was shared. The puzzle creator should sign a message and verify the address is in their control. There's all sorts of symbolism and hints and clues pointing to decentralization, injustice, modern world problems, but the lack of a signed message proving the ownership of the given address makes it less believable.

Both money and a hope for a better future can make people do stuff they otherwise wouldn't even if the chance to succeed in it is ~0%. 

And we are talking about 13k USD. For someone as broke as me, that is a goldmine.
If you are still not convinced as to why I would continue to try and solve this puzzle, convert it to INR (my country's currency) and see for yourself.

Besides, this is also the first time I am actively trying to contribute to an online forum. 
So, if there's a better to go about it, I am all ears to learn that.

Do you have any hope of cracking it?I think you do as since you are still working on this thread which is an old one yet let me ask you a question,why do you think you can brute force this,the probability to crack it as said here is near 0% unless you have a huge amount of hash ready to use it for cracking and even so I doubt you can have any success.

I once told the Dave guy from the wallet recovery services just 5-6 characters from a lost wallet of a friend of mine where he thought he had like 0.20 Bitcoin and he Dave really cracked a 36 password characters code but it was a different thing.If you don't have that high amount of hash why do you even bother?

I also want to try this but I really wish someone could create a list of all the hint words that we have till now and if the mnemonic should be a 12 word or 24 word phrase.

P.S.: I only took the most probable words from my post earlier responding to the runes.

For Corey's puzzle, I tried multiple non-common passwords or keywords from the puzzle in both Ian Coleman's BIP39 tool and his BitImage tool. I even hashed them with sha256, double hashed, RIPEMD hashed them, created new BTC addresses from the hashes, tried usual password combinations like (lowercase, uppercase, number and special characters) but still couldn't find it. 
He literally made it a password guessing game. Now, this in itself is a great demonstration of much security an additional passphrase can add to the wallet, but if he wants us to crack it as a challenge, I believe there should at least be some hints.

Some people have even created issues in his Github repo (https://github.com/coreyphillips/bitimage/issues) asking for hints, but obviously received no response.
I personally reached out to him on X as well, which I have never done to anyone, asking for a hint but received no reply there either. 

I can still see .2+BTC in the wallet and I think it is worth it to crack and whoever will be able to crack it will get $14k+ worth of Bitcoin. I even commented on one of it's reddit thread 3 years ago which is the funiest thing for me as I really wanted to try to crack it but that ended with a headache. 😅

Besides, it is probably unsolvable. There are already many unsolvable puzzles. Even if they are solvable, who would bother brute-forcing all possible passwords for 0.01 BTC, like in the case of the Corey Phillips puzzle?

which is 8,916,100,448,256 combinations just for 12 word combination of phrases. Even then, it is not yet clear if the phrase is actually only 12 words or more and if it has any Bip39 optional passphrase because someone mentioned "BREATHE" can be a passphrase for Electrum wallets.



From what I have noticed in all my time generating millions (and possibly even billions because I wasn't really counting every time) of mnemonic phrases in Python and Java, usually the legacy (compressed) address in question is the first one, no matter if it is BIP44 (Blockchain.com) or BIP84 (TrustWallet). (I confirm it using https://iancoleman.io/bip39/)

Though even if we have so many clues here and a literal Github repo (https://github.com/AlberTajuelo/bitcoin-0.2-image-puzzle) just for this puzzle, all the clues together create quite a lot of confusion.

Even with a finite list of 12 words, given the computational limits and the astronomical number of permutations, shuffling and processing all combinations of 12 words from a BIP-39 word list is infeasible.

Even with extremely fast processing, the time required is on the order of 10^33 years, which is far beyond any practical time frame.

Consider a mnemonic phrase like this one from the picture:

But what is the password?

Or what is the BTC address index from m/44'/0'/0'/0/0 to m/44'/0'/0'/0/100 ?  

Do we have any clue on the sequence of the words in the seed phase?

Here's what I could find from all the 2048 bip39 words for the runes:
Rune 1: address (I don't think 'vault' would be the correct word in this context, but I couldn't find any other word anyways)

Rune 2: add/math/total (pretty sure of the first based on the rune translation)

Rune 3: second/day/february/holiday/march/month/october/today (probably the first one as per the order of days in a week but there were some other hints related to dates in this discussion that I forgot)

Rune 4: eight/one/seven/six/ten/three/twelve/twenty/two/zero (who knows, maybe some other hint will help here)

If anyone else has more concrete answers to these runes or if I missed any hint word, you are welcome to add them

I think the puzzle creator is a time traveler.

If you calmly analyze the puzzle more reasonably you would understand that something is not adding up. the puzzle was published on the 10th of May 2020 and the day George Floyd was killed was not the same day the puzzle was posted. the creator posted it 15 days before the day George Floyd actually Died and the transaction for the same was 15 days before the day the puzzle was created. George Floyd died on May 25, 2020 and Puzzle was Created on May 10, 2020. Something is not adding up here as to how the puzzle creator knew exactly what would happen 15 days prior to that day and he didn't do anything to save him

@bestie1549 already followed the clock directions for words some months ago..even tried the permutations of the words found... still nothing

but if you follow the clock hours and put the words found along clock lines you will have an interesting phrase

This is interesting, I have seen a similar thread here in the forum earlier regarding the Puzzle and Bitcoin containing now that you have posted this here, I am sure someone smart will surely be able to get the 0.2 Bitcoin out of the address very soon. I have never tried solving these puzzles and I don't think it's worth it but the image looks very interesting as it has alot of stuff related to 2020, the year which was literally hell for many. Also, I can't understand how time is passing by. It's almost August of 2023. Few months earlier it was just March 2020.

I think the clock is showing the directions for the positions or locations of each mnemonic words as described beneath the clock, also take note of the NUMBER 12 of the clock, where the 12 is directly pointing at is where there is a STOP SIGN which the Letter O is circling the hand of the statue of liberty so we definitely have proof that this is a 12 seed phrase mnemonic but what we don't know is if it's an electrum wallet or a bip39 wallet because some words appearing in this picture is complying with the electrum seed phrases for example we have the "BREATHE" which is only an electrum wallet seed phrase and also we have the STOP which is an electrum wallet seed phrase. the only possibility is to find and see if the STOP sign is nothing but a caution and we can treat the "BREATHE" as an entropy. more clues are welcome though this is just an assumption based on my findings

Yeah I think it definitely would of been solved by now if it was legit. 0.2BTC is like $6K almost so it’s a lot but I don’t think too many people will waste their time unless they are sure it can be solved.

That 32BTC puzzle is more legit because we know it’s real and it’s just a way to brute force the keys. This however we don’t know if we are wasting our time or not.

The author of the puzzle should come out and publicly solve the puzzle, the prize is not worth the effort. Also the quality of that picture is not helping.

A long dead thread of 10 months opened today. This puzzle will definitely be over sooner than now. I actually believe most puzzles are easy to solve, for I have seen a few where someone actually won something out of them.

I won't want to discourage any one but I think you are right, the puzzle has remained unsolved for this long amount of time shows it's either a fake puzzle or wrongly presented, although this my first time to see it and I was about trying it out till I discovered how old it was.

Yes puzzles like this with very juicy prizes are meant to be a bit tough but not to the extent of it being so difficult that it hasn't been solved for this long period of time.

- Rune 4 (Long on Right) is in Russian: "Здecь зaшифpoвaны биткoины нa чёpный дeнь нoмep X" and translates to "Here are encrypted bitcoins for a rainy day number X."
- 'This' is likely a seed word, as it's repeated in "This is the first prediction," "Fuck this shit," and "Find the seed phrase in the this picture"
- 'Subject' is underline on the statue to the right
- Using Forensically, or Photoshop, the base of the Statue of Liberty reveals "Only Bitcoin" under "Only real Bitcoin" which likely means 'Real' is a seed word
- The Latin to the bottom left refers to "The Pot Calling The Kettle Black" with 'Black' also being repeated in references to the Black Lives Matter movement, so it's likely another word

This is interesting because it looks like a mix of languages. At first glance it's Germanic not Nordic because sign no 4 from the bottom (ᛜ ) is Germanic but there's no such rune in the Nordic alphabet.
Many other runes are from the Nordic alphabet, some defining numbers from the runic calendar. Did anybody decrypt it? I might try, I like these things.

If no one was able to figure the answer ^{(the seed phrase to the wallet)} for two years now is either the puzzle is hard or the seeds in the image are not actually the seeds to the wallet that contain the puzzle prize.

i dont think the puzzle is incorrect, i was looking at threads on reddit and no one came with something plausible.

i came with a solution and i was shocked when i found that the seed is actually a readable phrase, but not the one unlocking the wallet.

And usually the fact it's not solved for 1.5 years means that it's too difficult or it has an error.

This is the first time I see this puzzle so I am certainly not solving it (yet) but I know there are some guys in forum who solved Bitcoin puzzles before
