We may have been fuck up for life right now, but I guess crypto might be the savior for some of us. I mean if we invested on it and hold for long term, maybe our kids and grandkids are not going to suffer and think about this inflation etc. Problems in society right now, but with hedging and storing some of our wealth and continuing buying bitcoin, maybe this problem won't be in the future, our kids and grandkids will not go through and face issues in life that we enduring in today's time.

Nobody is talking about how greedy this rich people are, what good is a solution that can't make the rich gets richer? I'm saying even if the pandemic and inflation can be avoided rich and powerful people won't let it slide without getting something in favour back to them.

This is the most heartbreaking truth that exists in this world. They will tell you to invest in something and take risks because, before he became wealthy, he was at the bottom of the economic ladder. When it comes to investing, not everyone follows the same path as the wealthy, as most people lose money or invest to start investing. Additionally, if you don't have enough money to invest, you must take out a loan, which is the most difficult problem to overcome if you lose your capital. However, not all wealthy people are greedy; some are, while others are generous and willing to assist others.

02/02/2022... without seeing this post, I for miss this beautiful date arrangement.
I was calculating many things that are wrong in my country, especially after the Covid-19 effects. Maybe you missed something "high transportation rate". After I travelled a distance 3 times the amount I used to pay before I understood that all is not well. Seeing this post made me know that it is not happening only in my country. After Covid-19, the world has refused to go back to what it used to be.

It's certain that since the pandemic, almost everything has turned to the online system, meaning that both work and school are all done at home,
so that it must be followed by an increase in the demand for technology such as computers, laptops, and smart phones
One basic fact remains that, the world with or without Covid-19 is and would be heading towards a more digital lifestyle to almost everything. Now, bots are being made to even anticipate and have reflexes to be a perfect human companion.
Technology has turned out to be better and better and some of the best techs requited in most fields are specifically produced by Apple in its best. So, there is little to wonder on patronage although, it's more frequent than others.

Anyway, the pandemic amongst other crisis acted as a facilitator and created a more digital awareness to life and people have been better since.

Its everything ok with the online platform system that's why Apple can sell  and the selling is really increased during this pandemic .All the crisis what we are facing right now actually been happen for the virus covid-19 .It has really pulled back us and made us to survive with all this fact .On the other hand Apple has hold their market as they are selling most of the online and technology service .So we really need to find our solution o online so that we can really overcome all what we are badly facing right now .Hope we could pass the bad time and see the new sunshine .
Same goes for websites like amazon. They have been making record profit after record profit, specially during the high covid period where people couldn't leave their houses. During that period they were making sales that they have never made before, why? Because people could leave their houses and wanted stuff come to their door instead of going outside and shopping. Same for iPhone logic as well, could be macbook or could be any apple product, they are making a big sale amount because since we are at home for the past 2 years, they have been selling something we can use at home and have fun.

If I could get the latest macbook then I would have totally gotten it, that is just way too good to pass up but I can't afford one, I actually need a computer badly, but I have been using my old PC for a while because good new computers are very very expensive in my nation, so people who could afford it, all bought them.

And don't forget Bill Gates has managed to get billions of dollars from sales of his vaccines in many countries.

We live in a world where the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. We are played by global elites who manage everything from behind the scenes. Starting from pandemics, riots, commodity prices, etc., I believe that there are players behind the scenes who are laughing at the current state of the world and will not stop until the goal is achieved.

We have had things too good. And whenever we have things too good, we ignore all the red flags and stopped thinking about the future. It's only when a crisis finally happens, that we get nudged awake by the discomfort of the said crisis. And then and only then do we start trying to think of a way to go back to the comfortable times. The harder the discomfort, the more we are motivated to do something.

Just wait until our environmental problems REALLY catch up to us. Thats going to be a LOT of discomfort for us.

Aside from high inflation and energy prices there is really nothing new here? Apple has had great sales before, most of the crises listed have been with us for a long time (ie climate change crisis). Some crises are very much regional (ie food crises). Sure, the situation is not ideal, but is it really any worse than before?

I was wondering why the date, like it is going to be a new beginning for Apple sales. The world has experienced hard times. Shipwreck, wars, diseases etc. Apple is not the only company in profit on the world's challenge. Health care too suffering and health care providers eating on it and government inflating currency, taxes increased , unrest everywhere and illegal money everywhere "they call it business".

I don't know the sales figures of other computer companies, but I'm sure that all of them have their sales increase. Around the world, due to the pandemic and lockdown, probably millions of people have switched to remote work, millions of children have left school to learn from home. This automatically increases the demand for computers and other stuff that is needed to work or learning in remote mode.
It's certain that since the pandemic, almost everything has turned to the online system, meaning that both work and school are all done at home,

I don't understand the point of your post.
What's the connection between the things you are mentioning and February 2 2022? Grin
Do you think that Febraury 2 2022 will be the date of the Apocalypse or something? Grin
Life is hard, but guess what.Life was never easy at the first place.
At least we are lucky that we aren't living in a World War 3 or some giant asteroid isn't heading towards the planet Earth. Grin
Why do you even care about Apple making more revenue? You can't stop people from buying iPhones.
If Samsung was selling more smartphones, would you be pissed off the same way? Grin

Though I really laugh at your comment, but It's really the truth.
People really love making some "end of the world" theory, especially with numbers lol.
These world problem he have mentioned where already became a problem for quite some time already, and that's also because of what people have done to our planet, and yeah they make business out of it.
Well, I have to agree, these are better than a world war or an asteroid huge enough to put humanity into extinction lol.

I don't know if OP's "02/02/2022" is a precursor to a disastrous happenstance ahead of time or it's just picked to highlight a uniformity in a calendar month. Well, whatever that stands for, OP should know that the world isn't without regular trivial and disasters. Even after the quoted date, the world is likely to experience more excruciating events. Look at it, five years ago it was with Ebola, Lassa Fever, HIV, Meningitis, etc, nobody knew there was going to be a thing as Coronavirus. But that's where we are today. I hope we don't experience something in future that will make Coronavirus and COVID look like child's play.

People really love to nitpick things and make something out of it, even if it means completely nothing.
While that's absolutely true, I have to say that the past two years have been like nothing I've ever seen in my life.  Actually, a lot of the chaos kicked off when Trump was elected, and it just continued all throughout his presidency until the present day.  The COVID mess and the way governments and institutions have reacted to it just shows you how insane our leaders are.

And man, I'm getting tired of this shit.  I'm not just talking COVID, but the other stuff OP mentioned too.  Inflation is no joke, nor is the supply chain problem--and I don't hear many people talking about that.  Where I live it's really hard to buy certain food items and various other things.  I'm not sure if people are hoarding or if truckers aren't driving....but it's a mess!

I'm hoping the world can dig itself out of the hole it's in, but as time passes I find myself growing much more pessimistic.  Somebody cheer me up!!

Much of apples revenue is from iPhones and you need to understand that for many the cost is subsidized with a payment plan from the carrier. Most people don’t have $1000 layout around to get a New phone every 2 years. So generally the way it works is like this.

You got a 2 year old iPhone… trade it in and get some credit for a new phone.
Your carrier pays for the phone and you just pay your monthly cell phone bills ($50-100)
2 years later… rinse and repeat.

So it’s not only rich people buying these phones.

I don't see what one has to do with the other.

Apple has succeeded by selling an image of status to people who don't have it. If you earn the minimum wage working at McDonald's you can't buy a Ferrari, but you can buy an Iphone in installments to pay for two years to show off the little apple.

The charge of shipping crisis could have affected more, but the rest you mention, such as COVID or climate change has nothing to do with the desire to appear status.

And now a metals crisis coming ...oh brother ... well this crisis are not that bad if you think ...there are opportunities to start new biz :

food crisis ---> start a farm
energy crisis --> invent some sort of battery , produce electricity
covid crisis ---> sell health products
war ---> sell ammo,weapons
protests ,revolution ---> sell news info
metals crisis --> mine for minerals
climate change --> sell eco products

...see what i mean ...biz opportunity in every crisis ,if your gov, cartels(associations) is going to let you start the biz ...the rich will get richer...the rest of us f...ked !

Don't be stressed.

Always think that there's always a rainbow after rain. Instead of stressing yourself why not think of a way to get out of this mess. It might be hard for you but with the proper brainstorming, you can plan what's the best thing to do.

Relax for some time to calm your mind. It's better to do it prior to brainstorming so you can get good and various ideas.

Problem is: we got ideas .... birocratic f...kers won't let us apply them ...

food crisis ---> build a vertical farm .... sure i can build it so can you ... sure i got the land but some stupid EU law tells me i can't do it to fact i have to built it using their standards and c...rap ...

Too sad that all necessities and basic needs are increasing. But can we fight this alone to pull the prices back? I don't think that there's a solution to it.

But we can make some ways of having these basic needs like what we can see in farming. If you own an acre or hectare or just a small lot, you can plant some of those plants that will give you basic ingredients and vegetables.

Although I really want to complain a lot with almost weekly increase for the price of these commodities but I'll choose some alternative and way to at least reduce the cost.

Every now and then the same thought runs through my head! We are fucked up and nothing can save us! Just look at them, their shows, and their performance... but people still buy politicians shit, they still believe that one man can save them from everything... in 21 century we still have religious fanatics and so many wars... people against people, all I see are innocent victims... people who wanted to live normal lives but they got trapped... circle that never ends!
Well, hard truth is that majority is still stupid and totally uneducated about the world and global stage! There's no other explanation, I took my own example and my town, people who live here... like we are still in the 17 century! Do you think you can explain something to most of them?! I tried, and I have been called a lot of names for trying that... I know I lost my nerves, but be my guest and try for yourself...  So I guess we are fucked up... some more and some less, like always!

There were always problems in the world, but what we are having now is much smaller than what we had in the past - world wars, hunger that was taking millions of lives, dictatorships that were killing thousands of their own people every day, diseases like the Spanish Flu that killed way more people than Covid-19. So don't have such a negative view on the world, it's bad for your own health.

Unfortunately we live in very fragile economic conditions we never seen before. Like the OP stated there is a combination of economic, medical and societal factors that is creating a lot of uncertainty in the air. However, we shouldn't hesitate to see the full part of the glass - the rapid advancement of technology is creating massive growth in productivity and unlocking even more opportunities for humanity.

An investor these days needs to weigh very carefully the growth and the risks to be successful. But this should be done in any environment anyway Smiley

People really love to nitpick things and make something out of it, even if it means completely nothing.

The crises you speak of have been around for quite some time now. Due to compounded problems and the never-ending problems on the current pandemic, this is what's really going to happen. And since almost everything has shifted to distanced everything (jobs, schools, meetings, etc.)—and people becoming reliant to technology more than ever—tech companies will surely be receiving a huge piece of the cake for this, and Apple is one of them. I don't see anything wrong with it, just people shifting some of their spending to what they currently need to still be in their jobs or in their schools, which are laptops, tablets, and phones.

Simply put, while some ants have some problems, other ants don't care. All in all, the forest may be slowly dying, but it may have better days.
I don't see the things be significantly worse than they were 6 months ago.
And there's clearly no relation to any arbitrary date, no matter how nice it looks like.

Stop reading/watching all the crap news (since their only goal is to panic you and keep you watching), try to find something interesting to do, get a book, or a computer game, or some good series to watch, maybe also go out if possible.
You seem to go towards depression and that doesn't help anyone. Break out of it.

The coronavirus pandemic has accelerated the adoption of digital tools for communication, learning and entertainment, powering Apple to blowout sales across each of the company’s segments, including computers, accessories and tablets.

I won't have to doubt this . The covid-19 pendamic protective protocols have really favoured some companies which Apple is number benefactor.

From your link above, you see much performance by Apple in there sales. Smart phones are in high demand, computers and other social communicating equipment and Apple is at the front of it all, the iPhones despite there high price are in good demand.
