BTC needs safety and security, that's all.  What is that too much to ask for?

All of this work just for it to be lost in the blink of an eye, that's madness.  5 steps forward 10x then 40 steps backwards when a major scam takes place.

Cryptoine it the most recent known victim of safety issues, and they had extremely high security.   Now they are down for a couple months once bitten twice shy.


look at the site traffic for this bitcointalk and Market Cap it went down tremendously, all because the scams are too pervasive.

Even companies with winning business models shift their focus/style from time to time to go with the 'hip' factor. Regarding Bitcoin, the BTC Foundation and others are getting down to business and doing their own marketing campaign. And, I'd say the ecosystem as a whole needs some sugar and honey for better understanding and interest for a wider group of people.

Whether you want to admit or not, Bitcoin has some branding and public relations issues. Unfortunately for Bitcoin enthusiasts all around the world, our beloved digital currency will always be associated with major scandals, such as Mt. Gox. On top of that, there is so much negative focus on Bitcoin from mainstream media regarding its price, making it even harder to gain worldwide adoption. But do we really need a rebrand?
