Sounds fantastic in the media. The ugly truth is UK bank accounts are being closed by banks for no particular reason except being associated with bitcoin trades. The worst offenders are Barclays and Lloyds. UK needs to catch up.

Wow what this is true, why the media never talk about it ?

If they want to be a central hub for Bitcoin in Europe, they've got to step up, fast. Otherwise they won't be able to catch up with other cities which already have quite a few places accepting Bitcoin...

That being said, London is an amazing city I wouldn't mind spending my Bitcoins on. Someone traveling there won't have to exchange their currency for british pounds! A big plus for visitors. But there are always even bigger pluses for residents Smiley

London has long been the capital for many features including arts technology and also plays host to food and music from around the world. Whilst Amsterdam and other cities in Europe are striding towards Bitcoin adoption, it seems London too is hoping to join the trend as it continues to expand its infrastructure to cater for a ever developing Bitcoin economy.
