To add insult to injury, I accidentally sold some of my btc instead of buying some more after the drop. Duh. The move was interesting, though. At least it seems to recover slowly.

We have been compromised, please do not send any funds to your wallet.

A few hundred BTC have been stolen, but the amount is small enough for us to cover it fully.

People are hungry for BTC. When the attacks and thievery stops, then ill start getting worried.

The PayPal rumor is true.

I was watching bitcoinity markets when the price fall happened, somebody sold so much the price went straight down to $150 and MtGox trading lag went up to 40 seconds. After that it jumped about 10 times back and forth and then the lag was gone.

Someone just got very rich!
There are still those people that bought in at a very low price, some of them will cash in.

thats some pretty movement!

What happened? did some news come out i haven't heard about? maybe its a bear trap?

Paypal announced that they were considering taking Bit Coins as a currency. I presume that is what caused the rise. What is causing the fall however, I can't guess.
