Consider the $20 worth of BTC  gone.

I have seen users lose crypto in thousands of USD when sent to the wrong address of an exchange. In most cases the support doesn't even bother to get it recovered, and I think the same might happen to you.

How did you generate a USDT address and then sent BTC to it? Were you half alert?

If it is already confirmed, the only way is to contact binance support.
Binance charges almost $30 to withdraw Bitcoin. I don't expect them to recover $20.

Is that even possible? What wallet do you use to send the Bitcoin to a USDT address? Most the wallet automatically detect whether the address is for Bitcoin or not. Can you send the Transaction ID here if there is?

It's possible if he sent the BTC to an Omni layer address (that's the same thing as ERC20 but for bitcoin blockchain).

@OP Sadly, there is no way to recover the funds since Binance doesn't give their users access to the private keys. I would've suggested contacting the support so they recover them for you (manually) but the amount is too small... I doubt they would help you out.

Exactly.

And as Ethereum fees are incredible insane, BTC chain is now faster and cheaper, so it makes a lot of sense to use OMNI layer USDT implementation.

They have also those chains:BEP2, BEP20 (BSC), ERC20, OMNI, TRC20

Is your transaction already confirmed , shiv81? If not, you can try to use RBF or some of those methods mentioned here by dkbit98

If it is already confirmed, the only way is to contact binance support. It takes time, and it is not guarantee that you will have your coins back.

Most probably the transaction will just rejected in case it really process by your wallet or else contact the support of your wallet provider.
