That's a good experiment and I don't know if it was done before in the past, but it depends on the market condition really like if you do this experiment late 2017 you are in a losing side because of the long bear market in 2018, we really can't tell the results, the market condition will play a crucial role.

@Hugeblack, this sounds intresting and i would like to ask if the terms would be similar as Loyce? this only differs from 10 months to 12 months.
The idea is simple and there may be someone who has preceded me[1], but I would like to know the real value of altcoins "I do not mean shitcoins but serious projects" against BTC with some fun time when investing.
I would suggest you to invest on powerledger, siacoin or Nexo would be also great according to me. Power Ledger is an awesome project and also personally invested by me.
