Yes and everyday different people are coming in from different countries so we can really say that Bitcoin is really growing day by day and that the adoption is continuously growing! nope you are wrong because we Hit $14k this year so your comparison is too far from what really happens and also 2017 is the highest market ever had so it is not right to look for the same hype just to be contented about what and how market goes...but i think all the 10 reason are enough for us to understand and also those have not been into crypto that this currencies are for future use and not just today so if they can contribute investing then it would much better.

In my opinion, there's no way we could totally punish people who are dealing with illegal acts in bitcoin and cryptocurrency space. What we can just do is to protect ourselves and to spread some caution to other people to avoid being a victim. Because in the cryptocurrency space, everyone is free to have their business and free to do what they wanted about their money, to use it legally and illegally depending mainly on their nature. So we cannot really blame cryptocurrency about this matter. Who we can blame only is ourselves for entrusting our money with fraudulent people.

In my opinion you forgot to include the most important of the reasons, bitcoin is the best currency we have available in the world, and when you are the best you have no chance of disappearing and your growth is almost assured.

Fiat currencies are still in power only because they are backed by some of the most important and powerful institutions around the world, but at the end that doesn't matter because they have huge flaws that are impossible to cover now that bitcoin has come to make evident their flaws.

But we could think also that the coming years are so difficult and a lot of market struggles. If we can imagine how the trend change after Bullrun( 2017), and in two years that we can't able to the market turn back high instead it stabilizes below $12k. Not to talk about how much easier it has made making payments. No need for anything to be approved from the bank and no documents and wait till or signatures or any of that. Just totally anonymously creating a wallet from anywhere there is an internet connection. Then within minutes, you can be paid. Anyone on this earth can be paid in minutes using bitcoin no matter who they are and that is its beauty.
All the new earning methods are all online and in an online world, it helps people. Many people want to work from home and I believe the job opportunities crypto brings enables this much more than traditional jobs.

I have a friend that owns Luno wallet and anytime he receives Bitcoin he converts it to fiat and then withdraw. Everyone has their own purpose for using Bitcoin, and there are those that use it for both investment and payment. So I'm very sure that it is growing, but we just don't notice it all because there is no way to tell.

I think your estimated year is too long for more changes to be seen.
Take a look at the history of Bitcoin, it didn't even reach up to ten year before we see massive changes. What we need is massive adoptable and adaptation and it will become the number one. This adoption or adaption can happen in a year or two, if governments are willingly to gives it a chance.

I consider this as the other side of the opinion I have, first, I do not really consider banks to be a third party that isn't really contributing to the development of the human kind. One thing we need to know is that banks aren't just using our money, they are allowing it to cycle to make the economy active and alive, with this, they help investments to grow, lend money to investors and help us gain interest. Basically, the regulations are being carried by them not just for their growth but also to the growth of the community. I am not pro banks, but I think we should also consider knowing their advantages because cryptocurrency replacing fiats for me is still unprepared especially in keeping the country in unity. What about considering a good harmony between fiats and crypto? with this, our transactions will be smoother and government will allow us to develop better technologies in the future concerning digital cryptocurrencies.

You just have mentioned 10 reasons but obviously there are too many reasons to mention why Bitcoin is strong today and  will continue to grow. One of these reason is we are going forward which means we are using the fast-paced technology  so we need something that can cope up with the rapid growth which is Cryptocurrency through Bitcoin.

Im tired of banks owning my money and doing what they want with it. I would rather keep crypto and make interest off of it then let it sit dormant in a bank. I know im not alone and it is a reason much people use crypto and this demand only grows not goes down. Not having to deal with third parties is the best thing for me. Every year we know that bitcoin was improving and I totally agree the cryptocurrency community was surely increasing it doesn't really depend in the market price of bitcoin but in its technology surely over the years the bitcoin technology was already improve by a lot of companies and in its bitcoin wallet. I agree with all your opinions. Bitcoin is too strong now and in the future. It's just that there are still few people of the world who understand Bitcoin and cryptocurrency itself. I agree with what you are saying but I don't see the urgency for this all to happen right now. I would like this to still take it's time to happen so we can all make more bitcoins before hitting the mainstream.
Right now for me I guess having more places to spend it would be the best thing. I am ok with the methods of buying it and converting it to fiat. I would like exchanges to be legally liable for their exchanges in the future and possibly even insured.

I totally agree with most of the reasons given by the OP. Bitcoin is a complete package of innovations in finance and technology, providing fresh solutions and tends to be controversial but brings enormous benefits. This decade has proven that BTC has good potential, its price tends to rise from time to time. Moreover, more people and companies are adopting it for the payment system although it is still limited to certain things. It's only a matter of time until everything becomes more effective. We all know that bitcoin users are increasing, although, including high-risk investments, there are many ways including by conducting in-depth analysis to minimize risk. Good potential, high volatility can be used as an opportunity to take profit.

I has been mentioned that Bitcoin is now with a huge marketcap and could be the reason why it will be alive forever, and I highly doubt that point because even 1 single exploit of bitcoin could lead for people to lose trust to it. I still believe that there's no system that is safe. Bitcoin is really a big market break through. It opens many ideas and solutions to the fast-changing world. There are lots of speculations and bashing about it but the fact that it the first crypto currency to be known its really something that everyone must have. It is not that perfectly perfect but I still believe the best is yet more to come.

Despite the fact that bitcoin introduced blockchain technologies to the rest of the world, it's pretty easy to separate them from each other. Nowdays a lot of companies and even governments are interested in blockchain technologies but can't say that same interest goes with bitcoin despite the fact that's it's the cryptocurrency that's adopted (if needed) at first in every business.
Btw I can't say that bitcoin has amazing features and etc cause this coin was never meant for massive usage, it can't keep much pressure, we know what happened when price went up to 20K and demand was highest, it caused high tx fees and stuck in transaction confirmation times.

It takes around 15-30 years for mass adoption to arise from any new technology, but as technology progresses faster and modes of communication improve, we should see the popularity of Bitcoin reach critical mass much earlier. I believe within the next five years we will see Bitcoin reach the same popularity that computers reached, then there was one in every home almost in the Developed World. We don't know about that because bitcoin still at a range of $7100-$7300, but who knows, we will see another deep down of bitcoin price, and it can go to below than $7000. But I guess many of us still hope that the bitcoin price is not going down below $5k and only stay at the current price now and it will increase so high in the next year. We are almost in the middle of this month, so we still have 15 days more to see how much bitcoin price will be at the end of this year. yes agree with 10 points that have been mentioned op. and in my opinion there are a few more things like limiting the number of bitcoins to only 21 million coins will make bitcoin a valuable item in the future. and I'm sure in the future the number of countries and companies that accept bitcion will continue to grow. and this will encourage people to also own bitcoin so I think the demand for bitcoin in the future will be even higher. and this will make the price of bitcoin more expensive.

I too fear that if crypto keeps on moving with current volatility, its mainstream adoption will be a dream only. See this year bitcoin volatility, it was below 5000 $ in first-quarter then crossed 10,000 USD and not at 7500 USD.

I think there will be additional points other than that after a few years as Bitcoin is still young. In my opinion, there' still more space for growth so I am sure the services will improve and it will make Bitcoin known than before. Since bigger companies are adapting to the use of Bitcoin I am sure the smaller ones will all follow the use of crypto as one of their mode of payments.

I agree especially in number 10 because Bitcoin is an old crypto currency that evolves because of many users. Hello, I was thinking about cashing out but this has made me have second thoughts. How accurate is this information as I cannot see a source? I was thinking of cashing out now at the current prices as I have already made a lot of profit since invested earlier this year. I am cautious though about doing so because as this year proved the market can go either way. Perhaps I should keep half my assets invested and take half out as a precautionary measure until the uncertainty is over. Particularly as Christmas is coming and I need the money.  What do you think? If you agree, I am looking around for the best possible crypto-to-fiats exchange platforms, would anyone know of one that is good for withdrawing a sizeable amount of crypto for a very good pound or euro rate? Little to no information was known about the Blockchain technology before Bitcoin came into existence. And it's interesting to say that we are yet to see what the blockchain technology is capable of doing in the next ten years to come!

I agree, those are some pretty good and valid points that you've made. I think if the adoption and market growth continues to slowly increase overtime, a natural growing uptrend may occur. The market price is stagnated around $7500 for so, unable to rise above its current plateau.

Exactly, based on my experience Bitcoins do really have expensive fees that is why I prefer to convert it into other cryptocurrencies that has the less expensive amount of fees yet have faster transaction like ETH and XRP. I preferably used Bitcoin as an asset as well due to the fact that it has great potential in giving a high return for a different kind of investment rather than using it as normal currency.

I agree with almost all except item # 6 because Bitcoin is too slow and expensive to be a means of payment. Perhaps in the future bitcoin will still play a leading role in the cryptocurrency market, but I prefer bitcoin wallets like gold rather than bitcoin to become a circulated currency.

I also believe that there are more reason aside of those 10 reasons you stated.

I think if bitcoin as payment at this time is less attractive because the transaction takes a long time, whereas the big companies that I see prefer to adopt blockchain technology than bitcoin itself. but there is a few alternative coins that have a speed of the transaction.

Though all your points are right, you haven't considered the things that would oppress Bitcoin's growth. Problems are present such as its scalability, due to slower transaction validation. You cannot also deny the fact that anonimity provided by Bitcoin is a double-edged sword. You get financial freedom, as well as criminals to conduct their illegal acts one step easier.

I think the last valid point you raised is a very strong reason too. The number that is talking about universal nature of bitcoin, that makes it decentralized and used without monitored in any form. Bitcoin is going to be around and playing more financial and store of value roles.

The point you have noted are very much valid but as we step into the new decade, majority of these points are weak to take bitcoin into the future. The valid for me is the number one point which talks about the blockchain technology which has been reputed to be a solution that is being applied to various projects across the globe even on a large scale that cannot be covered.

Other points, needs to be stepped up really. For volatility, while this is something that attracts most traders into the crypto space, its keeping multinationals and platforms at bay because buying and selling cannot be done on the basis of chance and on a currency that is not known to have some level of stability.

Indeed as of today, Bitcoin has made a major role in innovating our past technology with this new blockchain technology. therefore with the continues development of the blockchain technologies until today, Bitcoin is always worth mentioning. let's just hope that they will not replace Bitcoin with their nonsense coins. anyway, even though they create something like bitcoin, there will just come up with something different and most of the investors hate that, that's why they ended up losing popularity after a few years from launching it.

Nope. Volatility will only subside when there's a heavy regulation put in it. Being less sensitive to something doesn't really mean it will become less volatile. What makes Bitcoin volatile is that most investors treats it as an individual investment with no limit. There's no rule to it and they can invest and do what ever they want with it. That drives the price. Even if we reach $1,000,000 price or the people accepts it, it will still be volatile.

The future of bitcoin depends on how we treat it today. Most of people see it nowadays as profitable assets and that's why many people are keep acquiring it. There are also claims that if you have bitcoin today then you can avoid the next financial crisis. It will continue to grow as time passing by because there are still many people who do not know about what it is and how does it work. They will become interested to acquire it because of its advantages and benefits.

I don't think so that bitcoin volatility will get affected, bitcoin is circulating and it's the continuous fluctuating cause of market demands of exchange/trade and spendable. Though there is uncertainty regards to the limited availability there is large scale adoption going on around the globe. Till date within ten years of time it has gained such a mass global attention without any form of advertising through media. The growth has happened through the word of mouth spreading which itself a true success.
