I just completed 10 years of Bitcointalk, and in turn 10 years since I...
Congratulations joker_josue sir, no wonder this forum is full of opportunities to grow like we can learn and earn along with fun. Haha. I have spent around 2+ years on this forum at the start i was like involved only in bounties and my mentality was that i have no merits so i cannot post in other sections, idk why i thought that but when i came to know that there is a local community and when i posted there and got one merit, it changes all of my thoughts and the way i take this forum. From then i started to spend some time so i can learn more about it. As you said, sometimes we are away and sometimes we are spending lot of time on it.

I was also not that good in English before I joined this forum but when i started to contribute to this forum (by replying) my English automatically improved and i can write easily. I know it's still not that good but better than before. I congrtaz you again for your 10 years on this forum it's really encouraging too.

Congratulations to you mate happy we got to cross paths in these 10 years hope you won't be slowing  down anytime  soon as we await for another 10 years to be put in lol .
Btw this is proof that your  belief in cryprocurrencies has remained unshaken and still intact, I guess the future of crypto is bright...

That's an impressive achievement. Registering an account for almost a decade won't be an achievement. But You have written almost 10K(9864) posts in ten years—986 Posts per year and 82 Posts per month on average. Your Contribution to the forum is remarkable.
Almost 10k posts thats an achievement and btw that 82 posts per month is below average based on what the joker  can do atm and seems not to be slowly down anytime soon...Is the Joker human  @joker_josue  Grin

Congratulations on spending 10 years on this BitcoinTalk forum. You are a legend on this forum. There are many legends that we don't know well. But you are totally different from them you are really well known person in this forum. Your contributions to this forum are especially appreciated. You have always tried your best to move this forum forward with dignity. You have always made some updates for this forum. We are still waiting to receive forum update information from you. People make mistakes but you are not wrong in my eyes. I wish you good health and long life. May you spend the rest of your life beautifully.

I just wonder on the magnitude of accomplishment he would have made althrough this period, ten years is not ten days or ten months, i am very sure he wouldn't be able to name or count on several achievement he had made with bitcoin and on bitcointalk, he's such an early bird and i count it a great privilege he maximize because many have thesame opportunity ten years back but didn't make use of it, instead they doubted the whole process and give up trying, i also look onto getting there and beyond both with bitcoin and on bitcointalk.

Good point--length of membership is not even close in terms of importance as activity (at least on this forum; and then there's also the yardstick of merits).  Good 'ol joker_josue making just over 10k posts is pretty damn impressive.
Yeah, I said that because there are a bunch of inactive accounts. They just signed up and then forgot that they have a Bitcointalk account. There are other scenarios as well. People signed up, and they login here and read posts as well. But they feel like they don't have anything to share anymore. Take sirius as an example. He was active this month (In terms of Login date). But the last post he wrote was back in 2014. He did not write a single word in the last eight years. His activity is the same as Satoshi's. The only difference is that we don't know if Satoshi is alive.

Quote
I just checked BPIP and he ranks 137th for most posts, and if you consider the mind-blowing number of members bitcointalk has, that's something to brag about in a bar....where nobody will know what the hell he's talking about.  Lol.
I see some old forum members use weird terms I never heard of. I don't know many things even though I have been here for a few years. I don't know the secret of Foxpup's Merit Cycling Club. I don't know why Foxpup is paying for wearing avatars. I don't know enough about Thick Daddy, The Rusty Pipe and many more.

10years is such a long time, that's almost half of a kids life to get to adulthood and although, the seconds spent on the forum won't read your continual presence, your reg logs it in and its a lofty time for sure.

Your surely a known name on the forum but, I never took to note how long ago users have been attached and the fact that your still here shows your persistence and compliance with forum functionalities. We hope to reach this milestone some day and with our archivements in accumulations  (bitcoins) and bulk of knowledge to show how far we've come.

Keep inspiring champ, we hanging on still.

Congrats on 10 years, OP!  I think 2013 is when bitcointalk first came on my radar, and I wish I'd been more aware of it back then--and bought a lot of it.  Here's hoping you backed up the truck in those days that were long before lockdowns, inflation, and a generally more miserable world.  If you did, I'm sitting hunched over at the keyboard in the greenest envy.

Unfortunately it could have done more. Embarrassed

It was a good time to buy and invest, but it was also a time of change in mining and everything was still pretty new for almost everyone. So, there were several types of voices that were sometimes difficult for those who had just arrived to make decisions.

Either way, I don't regret anything! I know I could have gone further, but that's okay. By the way, I only regret not having invested more in mining. I'm sorry, I followed the idea that GPU mining didn't pay off because of the ASIC.

But it's all an experience, and today the person is more prepared for what we have today and what we will have in the future.

PS.: I also regret having spent some periods outside the forum. But here we are now with everything.

Congratulations on this impressive achievement. I chose the word impressive because you've just impressed me enough to look forward to your type of achievement after being a part of bitcoin and the bitcoin community for the past ten years and yet continuing to support and promote the use of bitcoin in your own unique way.

joker_josue is not a new name to me on the forum; I've seen your posts before, and I must commend your efforts to actively contribute to the forum. I hope to progress as far in this forum as you have, and then I'll celebrate my ten-year anniversary in a couple of years, just like you have. We’ll be waiting for your presentation to the forum in a few weeks.

Thanks for this capture, it really is a good combination:

So, next goal is 20 years here?
P.S. As I understand, website that you promoted in your very first post is still yours? Smiley

If I'm still here 10 years from now, I think that's an excellent sign for all of us! Wink

I found it curious, that you said that, it was so long ago, that I had to go check what the website was.
Yes, one of the sites is still mine: www.maisfacil.com  Cool
The other site mentioned is no longer mine. The project ended around 2015.

But within weeks, I will have a new website to present, thinking about Bitcointalk.  Wink Lips sealed Roll Eyes

Congratulations! 10 years on Bitcointalk is big milestone. I never thought that you registered here so long time ago. It's probably because in past you weren't that active on English boards here, so, I didn't noticed you. When you signed up here in 2013, I probably heard word Bitcoin, but had no clue about it. 10 years, that's quite a long time. You're one of the few survivors on the forums and have been through all sorts of waves over the last 10 years. Everything you learn here is something that is not sold outside the forum, while you are here you have grown a lot thanks to the help of people in this community.
Then it's your turn to help the juniors and share with them the knowledge you've gained, this cycle will continue to spin without anyone coordinating because the people who join the forum are always welcoming and very friendly to newcomers. Continue to be active here to help low rank users, your contribution will be invaluable to them.

Because some of the oldies left the forum at one point or the other when there was problems of spamming and the rest of it, but you endured and enjoyed the good old days till this moment.

This is pure passion and I congratulate you for that. May I ask, how many more years do you wish to stay here?

Perhaps the fact that it has some less active periods, allowed me not to get that shock of excessive spam and things like that. But even though I'm less active, I've never really been disconnected from the forum.

How many years do I intend to stay here? At this moment I have no intention of leaving, on the contrary. So I hope to stay here for a few more good years!  Cool

That's nice to know. There is actually no reason to leave the stage at this time. Here is not greedy to steal all your time. You can manage here with whatever things you are doing offline. I don't think you can leave any moment hence you are passionate about here.

...if not such principles I would have say that you known it all of anything concerning or relating to bitcoin as well.

I don't know everything! I consider myself a beginner in this sense.
There is still a lot to learn in this chapter, and I am always learning. Because a lot changes over time.

There are alot of changes but the basics doesn't change. The network is there and maybe introduction of scalability protocols like SegWit, Taproot, Ln etc. Many things remains stable in the network.

This is also my tenth year here. Time goes fast. Back then, we thought we were too late to buy Bitcoin. I hope we can see many more decades with Bitcoin and this forum.

I've always been very focused on the Portuguese tab of the forum, so even in the beginning I hardly noticed much. But I remember seeing some of your topics at the time! Fortunately for you, who had more forum focus than I did, and managed to grow faster! Congratulations also on your 10 years.

Regarding buying bitcoin, I am completely in agreement. I remember being disappointed at the time that I didn't get into bitcoin sooner. The worst, I don't know if that was your case, the first time I heard about bitcoin was in 2010-2011. If we had known the valuation it would have, we would certainly have invested more. Your account isn't one that comes to mind when I think of really old forum users, thus is likely cause you were a but inactive at the time I registered and seemed to pop out of nowhere for users that were not here during the early days.

I shall be 5 years registered on the forum later this year, double that is really impressive. Good you still find reasons to log in here and browse around.

I did get the impression you were a newer member like me, from around 2017 maybe, as only really started to notice your posts in the past year, so this definitely helps to explain things.

Congrats on your 10 years anyway, a decade must feel like a long time here. It's nice to hear your activity has returned to the forum after lengthy absences  Smiley

I thank you for every merit I earned! Without the community I would not have reached this level.

I really understand, thinking that, but maybe I noticed it more because I've always posted little in the international tabs. Just the one year thing is that I started to be much more active on the international tabs. But, now that I'm used to it, it will be to continue. Smiley

A decade is a long time but today you have reached history to commemorate it, I guess the days of the journey through the years will never be forgotten.

I admire people who last a long time in the forum, even though many of you are more than happy with this, the joy of the journey reaching a decade, who knows how long to stay here when you can still do it, don't ever leave because the forum has become our habit to look for. bitcoin related information and other news.

I will try to stick around for a long time and now the forum is getting more interesting for us to dig up as much useful information.

I started in 2013 and was pretty active, then reduced a bit during 2014-2016. Despite that I was nevertotally away, I just didn't participate even though I visited the forum just to read a few things.

In 2017 I had to make some changes in my life, nothing serious, but it took a lot of time (I moved house 3 times, changed jobs 2 times). So I ended up staying a little further away from the forum, even though sometimes visit it for small readings, it wasn't participatory.

So, even though it hasn't been active for all these 10 years, this forum has never been off my radar.
You are right about one thing, every user has a different way of life which allows them to not always actively participate in forums. Of course I don't think that's bad because when there are more important things out there taking a break is a wise option to consider. But anyway, your last statement made it very clear that you have no intention of leaving the forum despite not being active in discussions for a long time.

To celebrate, please accept congratulations for your loyalty over the past 10 years to bitcointalk forum. Amazingly, 2000 merit have enlivened your celebration.

This is a journey that I can say long. Of course you encountered many things when you started until now so I would like to say a sentence to you with congratulations joker_josue.

If over this time, I did something that may have hurt or disappointed someone, I apologize in advance. I like to get along with everyone, even though I know this isn't always easy. English is not my strong point, so sometimes I may not be able to explain things in the best way, or I may be misunderstood. Thank you for your understanding.
If on your way to starting a forum there are people who are hurt and disappoint, I'm sure it's not because of an intentional thing you did.
Naturally, each of us has faults. So it's not just you.

And I can say first hand that I am preparing something that I believe you will like. In a few weeks, I hope to be able to make a presentation.
Of course we are looking forward to it  Wink

In 2017 I had to make some changes in my life, nothing serious, but it took a lot of time (I moved house 3 times, changed jobs 2 times). So I ended up staying a little further away from the forum, even though sometimes visit it for small readings, it wasn't participatory.

So, even though it hasn't been active for all these 10 years, this forum has never been off my radar.
First I would like to congratulate you on this milestone achievement, 10 years on bitcointalk is a lot to me. I'm just imagining what it was like getting to know about this forum way back in 2013, when it hasn't gain much popularity, and now look at where it is today. I hope I would be able to make some meaningful contribution like you're doing in my time here.

Congratulations, but we cannot say that you have been here for 10 years, I checked your posts and you did not post anything from 2016 to 2021, which is almost 5 years, and then a very strange activity.
You have created 466 pages of writing, and although I have been active since 2017, the number of pages is 462.
you created posts that I made over the past 7 years in a period of 3 years.

What happened during those years?

I congratulate you on your first 10 years on the forum, and I wish you to celebrate a new anniversary one day, of course 20 years would be very nice Wink

I'm a little younger than you when it comes to registration, but soon it will be 8 years since I registered, and even more than 9 years when I first found this forum. Given that it happens that some old members leave the forum for various personal reasons, it is good to see that we have members who have been active for such a long time and are still actively participating in the work of the forum.

I don't want to speak in general, but with regard to AI chat-bots, it seems to me that lately we have more and more bot-members and that in 10 years (if the forum exists), there won't be too much human interaction on the forum.

Milestones for such a long journey on the bitcointalk forum, actually this is never easy to go through and sometimes where we experience ups and downs of being bored with being active on the forum but now you seem to be focusing again on giving your best to benefit others this is of course we expect a long time on the forum for other activities.

The fact that I have been in this forum for almost 9 years and slightly different from you for more than 1 year means that we have been in this forum for a long time, Grin of course we are very happy.

So, Congratulations joker_josue.  Cool

Fun Fact: I noticed that you registered on April 11, 2013, at 06:35:49 PM (Forum Time).
You published this post on April 11, 2023, at 06:50:28 PM (Forum time). Maybe you started writing at 06:35:49 PM?

Probably. I'm not 100% sure when I started writing this topic, but it must have been around that time, yes.  Roll Eyes

By chance, a few weeks ago, when I noticed the day/time that was 10 years old, I marked it on my calendar to create a topic at that moment. I saw that it was a day/time that I could schedule to do this, and so here it is.

I just completed 10 years of Bitcointalk, and in turn 10 years since I entered the world of bitcoin. This topic aims to thank all members of this community, which gave me the possibility to know and learn more about this fantastic technology.
That's an impressive achievement. Registering an account for almost a decade won't be an achievement. But You have written almost 10K(9864) posts in ten years—986 Posts per year and 82 Posts per month on average. Your Contribution to the forum is remarkable.

If over this time, I did something that may have hurt or disappointed someone, I apologize in advance. I like to get along with everyone,
I can't remember if I was engaged with you on any other thread. But I have to say that I have never felt hurt or sad reading your posts so far. So it's all good.

I'd like to be more active in other areas of the forum, but I don't have time for more. Cool
Everyone has a personal life outside this forum. It's not necessary to spend your valuable time here. The forum shouldn't be anyone's priority. It will affect your personal life if you take it too seriously. Be on the forum whenever you can.  Wink

Congrats on your achievement. Ten years is a long time to spend anywhere, and you did spend 10 years here, which is magnificent. We don't see that many old members in this forum, so it is undoubtedly a big achievement.

I think your English is perfect and totally understandable, thats why you can come this long way.

Cheers and Enjoy Smiley

Congratulations joker_josue.

How I wish to have known about this forum and bitcoin since many years ago, but I only know about these just like it is never yet long. I wish you have progressed very well in life, most importantly if you have been accumulating bitcoin, this would have not disappointed you.

I hope it is never too long for people like me.

I just completed 10 years of Bitcointalk, and in turn 10 years since I entered the world of bitcoin. This topic aims to thank all members of this community, which gave me the possibility to know and learn more about this fantastic technology.

It is true that there were periods away from the forum, but in general I was never really away, just less active. In the last 2 years I've spent more time on the forum, and I've been trying to help with some aspects that I've learned over the years. I'm a very distracted person, and that's why I can sometimes not remember common things, which have even been said several times, but that doesn't bother me to participate based on what I know.

If over this time, I did something that may have hurt or disappointed someone, I apologize in advance. I like to get along with everyone, even though I know this isn't always easy. English is not my strong point, so sometimes I may not be able to explain things in the best way, or I may be misunderstood. Thank you for your understanding.

I'd like to be more active in other areas of the forum, but I don't have time for more.  Cool
I look forward to continuing to help the community in whatever way I can.

And I can say first hand that I am preparing something that I believe you will like. In a few weeks, I hope to be able to make a presentation.

Many thanks to everyone and to this fantastic BitcoinTalk community!
