Can you really tell me, please, what is the aim of the project?
To work on the people's image of the crypto currencies? If so - it's definately good, I think. That's becoming a real problem nowadays - the way how people see crypto-currencies.

Hmm I would firstly filter out coins/tokens that are younger than 2-3 years. Because they are way too young and unproven to write something about their history. Chances are a lot of the coins/tokens listed will be obsolete in the coming years. And bitconnect? Seriously? I can't take you guys seriously if you guys include bitconnect.

I have to disagree with you. Good back stories, will sell more books. Some of these Alt coins might even contain some very

interesting back stories. Take Bitcoin Gold as a example.... it got wide media coverage and a lot of interest from a lot of

people. { The ASIC resistance might not be unique, but it was something everyone was asking for } ...Even failures make

good stories.  Wink

Yeah bitcoin gold already has quite the media coverage and it doesn't even exist yet hahaha. No blockchain or anything. So the length of time that it's been around is irrelevant.

It's fun to see some old coins on here. Feathercoin lol. Good old timers. Maybe worldcoin? I think that's one that I would suggest that I don't see on there. Maidsafecoin is another. Even utter failures should be on here  Wink. Real cryptos only though of course. No tokens. Oh and namecoin. They where trying to decentralize the internet some more so that made sense. It never panned out, but worth a mention.

Well it is good to know the history of this coins. Though it is quite new, OmiseGO is still included in top 20 in Coinmarketcap so maybe you can include it a well. There are also different usage of coins as well so you might consider picking at least one in each category like for data storage, financial services, lending, healthcare and more. You might also consider creating books focus on bitcoin like bitcoin exchanges, bitcoin mining companies and bitcoin wallets and delve more on the technology but in layman's term.

One thing I'm wondering is why you didn't add Ripple? I'm aware that its classification as a crypto-currency is heavily disputed, but nonetheless it's one of the earliest projects in this space and deserves a place in history, despite all its flaws.

I agree to add ripple to the list, although it lacks 2 features, first that it is not a fully decentralized currency, since it is under the control of the Ripple Labs company and second is not a minable currency; this does not make it completely cryptocurrency but it has been one of the most popular and most stable, I do not know if it is for the security it offers due to its partial centralization and / or its use in the forex market business

What is the criteria? How do you decide which crypto will be included into the book?

Great idea! Will you have it published and printed as well or do you plan on releasing it as an eBook / PDF only? Most alts are not really worth writing about, but a compendium of alts, even those that fell on hard times lately, sounds definitely interesting. Especially since even if you keep a keen eye on the alt market and its development, it's nearly impossible to keep track of them. And at least to me it seems that a lot of once -- or currently -- respected alts will fall victim to time and shifting community interests sooner or later.

This is going to be a great project and some of us that has little knowledge on how cryptocurrency come to be especially there historical events will benefit  from this " cryptocurrencies book". I do believe that there are thousands of coins that need to be added to this book and I hope you will have time to actually develop this project for some of us.

I think so too, and if that coins will be in a 5-6 years in the market that would be good to sort out too since they are the most experienced one in the blockchain. I think even it will not end up to a hundred crypto for history book at least they are good and not be obsoleted as xFiber says in  few years that would be a nice thread I suppose. Hope you'd make up your mind and accept our suggestions and queries. Goodluck!
