So recently there have being massive wave of awareness and invitation on going on telegram and God knows where else about the particular airdrop IRON which for some reason and surprise have such high value when you check out the price value listed on trust wallet.

Note::that's the Link for the airdrop please just for reference sake
Code:
https://t.me/IRONStablecoinAirdropBot?start

So the airdrop is actually a scam and when users try to actually swap it on their trust wallet instead of them getting same results as promised, they are ripped off of their money as fee Instead. The whole thing will look so legit for a newbie in the crypto world because they dropped a video link which even convince the participant of this airdrop to believe that they can actually claim the IRON worth the price of dollar that is displayed on their trust wallet.

Supposed link for the actual swap of the coin

www.IRONswap.wiki

Please we should all be careful out there

The bull season is here and they are more and more of such projects and scam ongoing so we should all be careful out there so that we won't fall victim cause of our self greed and quest for actual free money because their is no such thing as FREE MONEY ANYWAY
Thanks for sharing OP

I also got this iron token, but I didn't care about it because I had a feeling this was just another scam token, I also got 400k USDT on the gnosis network and when I checked, it was a scam. Currently, we are entering a bullish market and it seems that when the market starts to be bullish, fraudsters will emerge to take advantage of bullish opportunities through airdrops because the current bounty program is no longer very effective

This is just the fear of many of us. This one is the highest risk in airdrop. There was a airdrop one of my friend were investing last year and the airdrop was real that of my friend was like has just won Jackpot and he finally send the coins to his wallet which was the same trust wallet and when it was time.to withdraw or transfer the token to an exchange, then they asked of a particular amount of fee.
So till date he could not send the token to another exchange and the token got burn.

Your friend shouldn’t have put his mind to it. When doing airdrops, you should know it’s like promised money, and you shouldn’t bank on it. Do it with faith and move forward. If it will come, it will come. Your thoughts don’t make it come any faster. Don’t put your money too, anything can happen before the distribution or listing or whatever.

I noticed such similar altcoins in trust wallet and whenever i go to swap, it failed. Pancakeswap indicates such altcoins as high risky while you are going to swap.. although haven't found other dex for other chain altcoins, if they indicates such warning ⚠️ or not. Maybe not. And before swap, you should check the contact of that particular token! You'll found many user tired but swap failed or never get converted into usdt. Thus you can be careful.. but don't know how long we can careful from such scams

All projects that ask you to connect a wallet to airdrops and after many connections there is a possibility of hacking you must be careful before connecting the wallet and work on the project as a phishing site after proper verification.  Website must be verified and social media must be checked before working on the project.  Currently most of the projects are scamming and most of the participants who are participating are complaining of having their wallets compromised so for now it is wise to always be wary of these fraudulent groups.

There used to be free money so I’m not sure that I will say that there isn’t because I have experienced it. But these days, it’s really hard to find free money. Even the ones you find will make you work for it even while saying that it’s free money.

This kind of scam is one that many people will fall for because many people are really scouting for airdrops and will hop on many opportunities without scrutinizing them. Hopefully your topic can save a few people from it. Because nothing hurts like losing hard earned money to thieves.

Sure. I recall there used to be very good air drops which actually gave very good yileds to those who got benefited from them. The best example I can think of was the airdrop of Uniswap. It was about 700$ in their token, given to each person who was providing liquidity in their pools for swaps. At the peak of the price of the token that airdrop was valued over 2000$, for those who decided to hold on the tokens, instead of selling them immediately.
Nowadays, I would be very impressed if some project as important as Uniswap appeared and give such an important amount, it simply does not happen anymore.

It will happen only in neverland. Haha! Even if a project wanted to do something similar, it won’t be big or the impact won’t be felt because the cryptocurrency market has gotten crowded (which is a good thing), but there’s just too many garbage projects which has affected the way things would have worked.

I have seen and heard before and often hear that this airdrop is a scam. Of course I don't keep much eye on airdrop projects, but surely we should stay away from such projects because they disappear at any moment. Including your wallets in there to collect a free airdrop token can actually be risky as all your personal information is at risk. Currently, many people are showing interest in cryptocurrency and are leaning more towards it. So scammers are trying to attract newcomers by coming up with new airdrop schemes. So we all have to be careful in advance that it is better to stay away from all the projects that are likely to be scams.

How are they able to manipulate the price to be like that though, I can't wrap my head around how they did it but with the way that they do it, I can definitely understand why this will definitely work on some people especially the newbies, they're definitely going to be onto something. While writing this post, I just remembered that I've had this experience with OpenSea too, there was this Pudgy Penguin skin upgrade token or something like that, when you try to sell it, it will redirect you somewhere that will try and access your Metamask and then steal all of the valuable crypto or NFT that you have on that wallet, I was really careful at that time and thankfully, I didn't have a lot of stuff in my OpenSea account so I was able to notice the anomaly without a problem, if I was being greedy at that time, I would've considered pursuing selling it and end up losing more in the process.

Not all airdrops are scams but groups do more scams. Through groups they try to attract bounty hunters by sharing various information. Newbies are more cheated because they have less knowledge. Do research before sharing information on any site. Scammers manipulate and scam everything through groups.

This is a big plan carried out by groups to trade in uncertain financial terms because they want to take money from beginners who take the initiative to make big profits from airdrops.
The thing is many beginners are targeted because they are the ones who are the most optimistic and hopeful and want to do everything. They just enter every project available without checking too much in it as long as they see some benefits.
Quote
It seems like this is a phishing site that traps a lot of people in it, this airdrop scam is a common occurrence among bounty hunters, for them this is a normal thing to happen because by simply entering your email and wallet address, we remain careful every time a new project appears.
This is a common method of scamming people and by now we should learn how to avoid these and be careful.

Well, I admit I did not I ow about this scheme to steal the money of people. If I was more into hunting for airdrops I think I could have definitely fall for a scam like this one. So thank you for the heads-up.

I only trust airdrop coming from project that have partnership with large exchange and is invested by big ventures, considering the risk of interaction with smart contract these days, so many scammers attempt to drain us of our money through various means and this is one of them, therefore whatever airdrop i choose to use new address with no money in it just to mitigate risk of getting drained and also always selective when it comes to airdrop, never believe something thats too good to be true, not to mention most of airdrops these days requires you to put in some effort anyway, this kind of airdrop when the coin suddenly goes to our wallet just too good to be true also always have ulterior means.
be very selective, in the bullrun there are simply too many scammers hope none of us will fall to this scheme but sometime they just really use creative way that even veteran could be misled.
airdrop hunter as far as I know are the one that have higher risk of getting drained of their money because they interact with various contracts too frequently.

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
Surprisingly, I also got some of the tokens in my wallet in a small quantity, but it seems they are listed in the exchange. I'm not sure how or why i got it but it can be from any possible airdrop but the value is not significant, which is why i didn't care that much. Also no matter what the value is, if i am not aware of any airdrop campaign i participated, i won't try to sell off that token in any dex as well. Who knows what type of new scamming methods have been used by scammers these days.
I also experienced something like this. I participated in airdrop campaigns several times and a lot of coins entered my wallet and these coins were not from the airdrop that I participated in. It does seem as if the coin is genuine but I always avoid selling it. because it's clearly a scam. There are many cases of fraud like that, the fraudsters seem to deliberately send the coins to all airdrop participants and then when we sell using a wallet connection, all our assets will also be lost.

Fraud like this often occurs among airdrop hunters, and many people always become victims because airdrop fraud is getting more sophisticated so that victims cannot differentiate between what is true and what is fake. Because it must be admitted that there are also many Airdrops that are very profitable.
Receiving a coin you have never heard about in your wallet should raise an alert on your mind, since it is clear a group of scammers is watching and monitoring every single one of the moves of your coins, and if you give them an opportunity you can be sure they are going to use it to their advantage and steal everything you have worked so hard to obtain over the years, unfortunately many newbies make the mistake of thinking about such events as fortunate, and when trying to interact with those coins they lose the rest of the assets they had on that wallet.

With Bull season such scams are common as everyone wants a piece of the pie. Only very few airdrops are legit and those which are legit will need the user to do some activities. Airdrops are not free anymore as a user needs to invest both money and time to be part of it. There was a time when they used to be free but users were asked to do a few task for getting a $5 airdrop and sometime less than that amount.

For the very reason that I've thought about how possible it could be for a project firm to just keep giving such attractive amounts of money for a giveaway when the participants never worked for it, I've much as that been in doubt that there's nothing like free money just as earlier said.
Although there had been existed and still existing reputable projects giving out genuine rewards. It's just quite unfortunate that lot of fraudulent projects are admist of them.
Just as the Op, has sanctioned, it's better you don't chase free money out of greeds and looses your hard earned money on the process. Carefulness is always the key to refrain from scamming victim.

To be honest any Airdrop is basically a scam. People want to try win big and so they will accumulate as many free tokens as they can in the hopes that one of them will 1000x by chance. Majority of these airdrops are actually just malicious JavaScript which crypto drain your wallets using obfuscated code. Do not connect your metamask or any other browser based wallet to claim am airdrop..

I beg to disagree. Some airdrops are legitimate projects while others are not simple as that.

I have known many people who have profited from airdrops. Yes it is rare for projects to get high value but it is true that it does sometimes and maybe this is the reason why a lot of people fall victim to it. They get too excited with the prospect of free tokens that could potentially make you rich in the future.

In this altcoin market things are not easy for the bounty hunters, they spend many months publicizing the projects, after many months publicizing the projects when it comes time for the project owners to pay, they keep going around, telling stories like: no We can pay now because we are afraid that all the bounty hunters will sell and the token will drop a lot in price. It's funny that the project owners are the first to sell when they realize that the price has risen a lot and has a high risk of falling a lot and when they decide to pay the bounty hunters, the price of the token is no longer worth anything, so in my opinion this is a form of scam. By this I mean that even at the end of the day these new altcoins end up being scams for bounty hunters

Thank you for sharing this vital information for everyone. I am part of the people who participated in this airdrop and i most say it is indeed a scam project that so many persons has become a victim. I was lucky enough to know have tried to exchange it on my trust wallet. Immediately i saw the red flag i quickly deleted it from my wallet.

Am not surprised that some persons still see the need to.come up with scam.project to steal from the innocent. It wont stop soon but we should take all the necessary security measures to not fall victim.

it seems that every 4 years things always tend to get worse, probably these scammers are waiting when the time for bitcoin halving arrives because they know that many people will be attracted by big quick profits, so these scammers keep creating scam projects, unfortunately x and telegram don't have Nothing has been done to prevent at least the number of people who fall for these types of scams from being very low. That's why the solution is for people to be careful and not participate in scam projects. In a few months we will see a lot of weird altcoins being created

It is for those who believe in airdrop would fall for it and not people like me there was a time a friend of mine was trying to influence or lure me to join this nonsense airdrop participation and he promised.me to give me update and all that but I refused to join and he join one of them and unknown to him that is is a scammer behind the project. At first they told him to deposit money to move the coins from the airdrop Wallet to Trustwallet and he did because of the high reflection of the dollar and when the money reflects on the Trustwallet wallet they asked him to deposit more again to withdraw the money and he did and since then has been struggling to withdraw the money Trustwallet but no way.

Those who are greedy are the people fall for this kind of trap because they want to cash out big.

You have different scammers and those scammers have different agent that operate with them so whatever thing that you are doing you will need to be extremely careful and also making injury for your project that I want to venture into

If I could choose under which paradigm newbies took their decisions on this market, one in which they pursued every single airdrop they heard anything about, and one in which they considered every single airdrop to be a scam and stay away from it, you can bet that I would pick the second option without any hesitation, there are a few legitimate airdrops out there, but their numbers are very small compared to the number of scams, so it is way better for newbies to simply assume they are all scams and save themselves from being scammed this way.

Yeah.. I friend showed me This IRON coin which has no liquidity on DEX but shows value in his trust wallet. I think the dev also make it tradeable with only hog slippage. So, it's totally a way to steal money from dumb asses.

They always create confusion such as this one that's why you don't just blindly follow the hype on the internet or you find yourself becoming a victim of this kind of scam. they often create such bait to lure their victims. They always make it seem real but if you don't rush quickly and analyze it well, you can spot the differences between the real thing compared to this one. You can just simply ignore it but for the other newbies, they don't look different and that's why lots of their victims are newbies that haven't acquired enough knowledge before investing or joining some airdrops.

There is an option in Telegram to not receive unwanted invites. Once enabled, that solves the problems of these spams and scams happening inside the app. Getting a random crypto is already questionable but how much more if it already shown with a high value? Usually they are a clone of the original crypto but they are only deployed on another network.

You already said what can happen to us once we attempted trading them. Even without video, there's a good chance that a newbie will believe on it instantly. They are the main target of this modus. Informative posts like this are great to give them awareness which saves their selves from falling on it. There is such thing as free money OP but they don't usually work like this and then their amounts are mostly minimal.

There are countless scam airdrops on X (formerly Twitter) and Telegram and the reason behind that is that people are crazy about participating in airdrops these days because some of the airdrops provide good returns to the eligible participants, and now no one wants to miss any project that can potentially have an airdrop because they think even if they have to spend some money, they will get more money than they will need to spend.

This trend has made it easier for scammers to scam a lot of newbies, and since Elon Musk has provided everyone the privilege to buy a blue tick, newbies tend to think the accounts scammers are using are genuine when in reality, they are fake accounts with bought blue ticks only to make people have more trust on them.

This discussion should be in the scam section to warn people of this scheme, airdrop has become a tool of scammers because so many newbies still believe that it's still worth claiming these airdrops, especially OP mentioned that the token already shows its value or price on Trustwallet or other wallets that you can connect.
and when you connect it you will get scammed through the fee that you will pay to claim the airdrop.

Scammers are very innovative nowadays, on one glance you will see that its legit but when you complete the task that's when you realize that you've been scammed.

In fact I'm also skeptical of anything that promises free rewards so avoid these airdrops in particular. Most of the new members get involved in these scam traps because of poor knowledge. Very soon i got myra token which has a large amount of money if you look at the balance but this token has no exchange volume at all. They have now muted their telegram chat and are promoting new projects. They are trying to get investment again related to a new project i can understand that they will scam very soon.

There’s no such thing as free rewards. You will need to do certain task in able to earn a legit airdrop so you’re right about avoiding anything that promises payout without doing anything.

There’s a lot of scam token like this on BSC which scammer targets wallet address that contains BNB tokens and send this scam tokens that usually have a smart contract settings that charge high transaction fee while you can’t trade the token even after paying the fee.

Simply to be safe, don’t claim any tokens that send to you without doing anything because that is 100% scam.

Hahaha  Cheesy Can't wait to tell my freind how much of a time waste he has put in just to get enough referral, he went in like his life depends on it, fucking free money, it's very difficult to get a real Airdrop that pays now. We just need to be careful and avoid unnecessary wallet linking to any site or totally abstain from them, as I see no benefits from indulging in them.
A lot of scam projects will ask you to get referrals to increase so they'll increase their victims, this is why I'm very skeptical about referrals, even when they're shared by trusted people, because in most cases they don't even know that they're ignorantly sharing a scam. I'm also skeptical about anything that promises free rewards, because there's no free money anywhere, reason being that the person sharing must have family, friends and dependants who needs money.

I thank the OP for sharing and enlightening us about this project, scammers can come through legit means to gain the trust of their victims, after which they'll unfold their fraudulent intentions. We must always verify the authenticity of any link before clicking, so we're not directed to phishing sites and be scammed.

This airdrop scam is not a new tactic for scamming people, so I believe a lot of people should have learned from this and not be participating in any kind of airdrop, especially someone who has been in cryptocurrency for some period of time. But the truth is that some people will hardly follow this advice given to them by some people who have fallen victim before because of their eagerness to make quick money in the cryptocurrency industry.

As the bull run is approaching, many of these kinds of scams will be rampant in the crypto industry. I will just advise everybody, especially newbies, to fully avoid new projects, either airdrops or any other way of investing in them, and that is the only way they can avoid these kinds of scams in the crypto industry.

I also did a few days ago because the price is not at all right now but a few days ago the price went up to about 230 dollars the price of the token.  I've seen this Genji at the moment and it's not for sale anywhere on Pantkab's list but it's very limited price.  I realized that it is going like this today because it allows payment so easily and instantly you can video so easy how so easy.  But I still have it because both of them were seized iron and one was going to be a dollar token but the trailer used to list that.  I am providing screenshots of both below.  With your understanding and all of you becoming aware I became aware of myself and investing on it.  Nothing but complete stupidity so please everyone be careful and don't go doing it all because it will take your bnb or you if you do it.

It's been one of the terrible moments to experience losses in airdrop because it's built-in for scamming. We just have to be wise in every sectors we found ourselves because winning have become very challenging currently.
I think if one should welcome airdrop one needs to be very careful,  be observant and never be carried away to make money so quick
If the consciousness is not there to see if one is in the right place it is easy for one . The reason why so many people for victims to scam in airdrop,  they have so much believe in it that it will end up well with them , to much expectation to make profit from it and fail to observe how reliable it is.

Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
Someone told me about it and I tried to follow up and I noticed that it is a scam airdrop I had to delete everything about the airdrop and their telegram channels. When I was still in the telegram group I recieve a message from one of the members in the group which I know it was a scammer and I ask the person never to message me again. If maybe I don't know how scammers works maybe I would have been a victim to scam. Airdrop should not be taking serious because many are just scam.

It's a pity how people still have beliefs for airdrops, for those that have been active here on the forum for a while now Should be aware of how useless airdrops are. When I joined the forum I was seeing a lot of posts that enlightened me to disregard airdrops and bounties that they are merely a waste of my time but as a person who wanted to verify what people were saying I had to participate in a some airdrops just to verify how legitimate they are and to my surprise what people were saying was actually true, all of them were scam projects and ever since I believe that airdrops are scams.

I know there are lots of new people coming into crypto every day and there are a whole lot of people who don't have any knowledge about airdrops so letting the public know of your experience is a good idea to educate more people about airdrops so they don't waste their efforts and time on them especially those ones that promise huge to give out huge money, we should understand that that there is no such thing as free money as OP has mentioned.

As we approach bull market a lot of scammers would be working to scam people using these airdrop strategy so we should be very vigilant as we approach the bul run and be on the lookout for scams.

Thanks, Op for sharing this piece of information dear many airdrops projects are launched to compromise the user funds well in my opinion we should never use our personal funds for any kind of airdrop. If you are the kind of person who do not miss any opportunity of farming airdrop you should have created a separate wallet that you can only use for this work and do not use this wallet for personal use I mean never save your personal amount for the long term in such wallet that you are using for claiming of airdrop.

There are some projects that need some fee for the claiming of airdrop so for that you should deposit some amount in that wallet at once so you can swap it to any required network on which you want to pay fee for the claiming of airdrop. Some Scaming airdrop projects send Dust amount into your personal wallet if you are using your personal one for farming airdrop in this way you whole wallet can be finished.

What do we expect when a project is totally free, are we expecting a fair scheme, it is always the way airdrop works, since I have hearing about airdrop, it is only few of them that I have heard that have scale through with a successful end.
That's why exchanges are always going into problems it now that I know why, why would an exchange have such scam coin in their list that's is too bad, this is the reason why many people lose their funds in exchange without any possible trace.
I think exchange are scam themselves and anyone using exchange wallet should be careful.

I do not think it is scam airdrop, but rather in the phishing link, which when you link the project to your wallet, it leads to a phishing site that contains a swapper bot that empties your wallet of all tokens.
A scam airdrop involves giving you a worthless or low-liquidity token so that when you buy it, you cannot sell it.
Trust wallet should improve the linking of the wallet to third-party services or to phishing sites.

Wow! That means the scam must have being a really big one, because it's seem I aslo got the notification and also even participated until it got to the part where I was asked to pay 12matic to swap the coins, I was skeptical about how easy the whole thing was but the only thing that kept me going was when I actually saw the coin listed on Trust wallet and the one that made me more curious was seeing the huge value that the particular coin had but I am glad greed didn't push me to making that mistake of swapping the coins with a big 12$ worth of matic.

Yeah.. I friend showed me This IRON coin which has no liquidity on DEX but shows value in his trust wallet. I think the dev also make it tradeable with only hog slippage. So, it's totally a way to steal money from dumb asses.

This is why I don't trust sources that are putting and directing anyone to telegram. This type of scam never gets old and even with small amount of fees that they're getting, if they've victimized a lot of people then collecting all of those fees will still make them bunch of money.

there are indeed too many scams going around even if you see in the twitter its always full of scam
True, twitter or telegram or any other social media and messaging apps. Everyone has to be careful when a random guy approaches them wanting to talk about this "profitable" project that they've discovered.

there are indeed too many scams going around even if you see in the twitter its always full of scam, even the project that are legit doing airdrop are always having some account impersonating them giving fake links things only get worse when these account could buy the badge just to appear to look legitimate and this has caused many people to get scammed and when we are talking about how much money these scammers are having its some huge sum as well
but what best we can do is just to avoid interacting with anything that we don't intend to it has spare me from being scammed, even more recommended for the case like this where you just getting some ERC20 token out of the blue remember that there are many kinds of contract, even the ones that charge money for just moving ERC20 which what these scammers are using nowadays.
even worse if you approve them of spending your stablecoin for example, always check address allowance in case some malicious code steal access from you.

Thanks for the heads-up, I think I have corrected that, atleast it would still save some curious minds and eager persons from actually going through to see if what is posted is real and funny enough maybe 1 or 2 might still be ignorant enough to still fall despite the warnings place because humans are fund of doing silly things sometimes.

Yes, indeed, this is a scam project. Thank you, OP, for posting this warning, but you should have placed the unclickable links, as Orpichukwu mentioned. Please edit your post so that they don't get more victims.

Indeed, the IronNetwork project contains only a fake swap page, and the domain's age, which ends with .wiki, is only 14 days. Whoever tries to ignore the warning in the image I attached and make a swap for scam IRON coins that he got from their telegram bot will lose his fees and will be unable to swap as there is no open liquidity. His wallet may be scammed after he interacts with the malicious contract for this currency.

Since it's a scam warning, you could have put the link into code so that it won't be clicked by anyone mistakenly as they read through the text. I mean
Code:
 https://t.me/IRONStablecoinAirdropBot?start

This form of scam did not start today, and I wonder why most people still fall victim to it. All the airdroppers need is to make the token have a price connected to it, and they can use that to manipulate the minds of those they target; there is no free money out there.

And one thing you need to ask yourself too is: how did they get the money they used to fund the liquidity for that project, and what's the benefit of giving out such a large amount of money for a project that doesn't have any existing or working product? There are a lot of things to consider before even giving any airdrop a trial; it's easy to see the scam through them if you look closely.

So recently there have being massive wave of awareness and invitation on going on telegram and God knows where else about the particular airdrop IRON which for some reason and surprise have such high value when you check out the price value listed on trust wallet.

Note::that's the Link for the airdrop please just for reference sake
https://t.me/IRONStablecoinAirdropBot?start

Really a friend even to this IRON 🧇 of a thing I created mine Also like he told me if I should share to 6 people I will get about $80 so all of this stress they are all scam non of them are legitimate even after sharing to many people as a referral yet nothing instead they take from your balance.....

Ohhhh gosh that actually a big time strategy of scamming people well am going to leave mine there no any attempts of swapping at all this is really shit exercise.......
