Heey!

so what? Would you bet in this game or not?
With 60% odds of winning, sure why not!

But you have 40% chance to lost it all... Still u're in?

I would not be in, no matter how fair it is.   I don't like putting big amounts of my money in online gambling :/  Why is this a general idea?  What's the point?   Are you going to make one or not? Tongue

Haha Cheesy no, I'm not really gonna make one.

Cause I'm pretty sure you don't have the funds to...

I'm pretty sure too Cheesy

I've went to the nearest casino and dropped a whole tax refund check (aprox 4000$) on a high stakes hand of black jack and won Wink.

How much did you win? Tongue  How is this relevant to the topic, other than cool, lucky, and big wins?  Roll Eyes

I guess a better question than "are you in?" is:

What would the chances of winning need to be for you to be in?  At which point does it switch from a 'no' to a 'yes'.

Mathematically speaking, you 'should' play if the chance to win is a fraction over 50%.  But I wouldn't.  I'd definitely play if the chance of winning was 99%.  But where's the line?  It's so hard to decide.

I expect the Kelly Criterion would have something to say about this.  But he'd want to know what your total bankroll was before he's say anything useful.

In Dragon's Tale we've had at least two bets of 200 BTC each, and each one came up a winner (950 BTC paid out each.) Also at least one 100 BTC bet on a coconut tree (which I think was a loss), and a bunch of 60 BTC bets on benches.

I'm sure someone that could comfortably afford the 1000 BTC for a 60/40 shot to double it would take that bet if it was provably fair.  The expected value would be 1200 BTC.

If you have 60% chance to win, are you in?

Yes. We don't need a web site to do this bet, we can simply do it through SHA256 hashes.

Show me proof that you have 1000 BTC and we can work out the details. Also, you'll have to escrow.

Guys, I didn't say that I want to do it Cheesy Where would I get so much BTCs?

I started this thread from curiosity Wink

There's no way I would bet 1000BTC with a 50/50 chance. 1BTC would be a different story....

Odds?

60% chance to win.

is here somebody who would play on that BTC game?

What BTC game?

Bet: 1000 BTC (yes, really huge).

But if you win (it would be provably fair), you gets 2000 BTC

If you lose, you gets nothing.

Features would be:
 - provably fair
 - SSL (https://)
 - Instant play (no network confirmations needed).

Yes, it's huge risk, but just imagine you gets 1000 BTC free !

Is here somebody who would play?

I don't think anyone would say yes to that until you tell them the odds of winning.  If there's a 99% chance of winning, I expect lots of people would be willing to risk 1000 BTC to win 1000 BTC.  If it's less than 50% chance, then I doubt many would be.

Just-Dice.com currently offers a 66% chance of turning 1000 BTC into 1500 BTC, but doesn't (yet!) have the bankroll to take bets of the size you describe.

If you have 60% chance to win, are you in?

Too risky. Unless I see the code myself thats the time I believe its fair. I would also not bet 1000btc in one go.

Nope.

You have not done your research... If it is provability fair....  You can lose all your money, as the house, on the first bet.  Too risky.
