Not that I dun want to help but DGC is not too common, maybe if changed to BTC or LTC the response will be better.

Maybe a more transparent raffle. Have the prize amount be determined by a percentage of the total DGC obtained from entries. Use Random.org for the actual drawing. Their are currently lotteries that have a 1 coin per ticket entry, and a much larger jackpot. You'll have to broaden your drawing to attract the community.

I would have liked to do a percentage, but didn't think the pot would get large enough to intrest anyone. Decided to put up 1000 of my own mined DGC as the prize, because once the 1000DGC prize is covered by entries, the rest will be donated to families, and for research.

Was already planning on using random.org for the drawing, would be the easiest way. To make it more transparent, I am going to track all of the tickets for everyone to see - in the reserved post.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Scam!

A cure for cancer has already been discovered anyway, im surprised people keep throwing money down the toilet to make the big corporations even richer, they shun it to keep making money on cancer patients...

You sir, need a reality check. Is it really a "scam" to help families in need? Regardless of a cure being found yet.

Good day everyone!

Last year the lives of many were changed with the loss of daughter/sister/friend, Christina Rock. At the age of 23, she was taken from us by cancer. Each day, more and more people are diagnosed with cancer, and the lives of them and their loved are changed forever.

This past weekend, we have raised $1500 in the 2013 Relay For Life.
In an effort to continue to raise money for the effort to find a cure, I am creating this DGC raffle.

There will be 3 prizes awarded. They are:

1st Place - 700 DGC
2nd Place - 200 DGC
3rd Place - 100 DGC

How much are tickets?
Tickets are 10 DGC each, or 5 for 40 DGC. There are no maximum number of tickets.

When will the draw take place?
The drawing will be on July 4th but "tickets" will only be on sale until July 3rd, 0.00UTC

How does it work?
It's simple! Send your DGC to the address posted below, and reply in this thread with your DGC address. I will then send you a PM with your "ticket numbers". All numbers will be entered into the draw, and 3 will be chosen at random. The names of the winners will be posted on July 4th!

Is this a scam?
Most definitely not! I have kept the ticket prices low, and am asking for DGC because I know some may be unwilling to part with their precious BTC. I would also like to try to help promote the coin, by supporting the community. If this raffle does well, I am hoping to continue to do more, in other currencies, with even bigger prizes.

I will be matching/doubling all proceeds at the end of the raffle out of my own pocket, to ensure the most of this goes to the Canadian Cancer Society. (For those of you in other countries, please still contribute as well!)

Please send your donations to:
DKzRriw3XdNjYdYHCYv4WEytTfsrgePLpx

(10 or 40 DGC increments only please, anything else [ie:75DGC] will be refunded)
