Bitcoin and Xrp are popular coins of the crypto currency stock market. bitcoin price is rising slowly. xrp is greater than the upward acceleration. so I would prefer Xrp if there were 1000 dollars.

Ripple is so much centralized and nobody knows what will happen to it in the future.
While BTC is still the main coin of crypto and investment to is is kind of secure one.

Today BTC is the safest crypto to invest. I think the good idea is invest $1K into BTC. Because it future will be good and it's value will increase, what we can't probably tell about XRP.

XRP has a more multiplier effect than Btc. Any little news or pump group can push the price of XRP to ×2 or more. But doing a ×2 or 3 for bitcoin will require another mega Bull run. But split the fund into two and invest in both and see which turns out more profitable.

well am not a XRP holder , also find XRP not that good coin .
but its parent company ripple dont provide only one coin , they provide many services .
so in future we can see many big partnerships even with some banks .
so price will pump at that time .

so for invvestment purpose you should go for both coins in a ratio of BTC : XRP = 2:1

Investing $1000 in bitcoin won't give you much profit, better go for XRP. Yah, BTC is stronger but the question why are you investing in cryptocurrency? To make profits, right? In that case, you should invest in XRP when the amount is $1000 or low. The reason is you'll get some fraction of BTC with that money, but you'll get many XRP with the same amount. If I were you, I'd go for XRP for sure.

People of course is good coin, but I am confused by the fact that about 60 percent of the coins are in the hands of the creators, I do not understand. Bitcoin is in my opinion a stronger coin and I would prefer to invest in it. But if we talk about how I would have done, I would have invested this in both of these coins.

If you consider a long term then BTC of course, but if for a short term (about 6 months) then it would be better to take XRP.

Short term would be something from few weeks to the month or so mate. The 6 month period you talking about is still long term and many things can happen during that one. I mean in next 6 months from now I am sure BTC market will be huge take over and it will surpass all the trends currently. You will see how the prices will bloom in this industry before you blink an eye.  Wink

XRP is old stuff but good stuff for the short term. However I would just suggest to put bucks into it for like one month or so but not more than that. Consider that one as red zone for it. Back off if something goes wrong in meantime.

I also support XRP
but I think that you can not invest in one coin
It is necessary to invest in several coins-5-10 coins for investments
This doesn't work when you ''only'' invest 1000 dollar , you will be spread way to thin. The risk may be lower but the returns are a lot lower too.

Why do you want to invest all of it in a single coin? I think you should consider multiple coins. There is no point investing all of your money in just one coin. Whatever you are saying about Ripple is right. People do not really consider it a good investment because majority is held by its stakeholders and they keep messing around with price. I suggest you go for a different Alt. Do have a look at IOS Token. They are currently running a promotional campaign and you can take advantage of its high price.

For myself, I will invest the $1000 in BTC. I prefer steady price rise. But if you talking about ROI, ripple might be better in the short run if there is a pump.
If you are looking for a good profit in a short period of time, look for coins that have very low valuation but have the possibility to increase in a short period, if you look at pundiX it had a rally today and the valuation was really low for that coin, so try to find coins like that and more over i would not risk my coin into XRP, they might be getting new contracts from big business firms but i am not a fan of ripple and i do not see a big rally coming up but it will move according to the market situation.

XRP is built from glass bricks. It doesn't has the only thing that makes crypto currencies popular i.e., decentralization. Without it why even use the blockchain technology and just have the traditional SQL databases. Also most of its supply is locked by the XRP team which has inflated the price and over values the price of the coin.

Ripple is a valuable and potential altcoin. However, I recommend investing in Bitcoin, because Bitcoin is the best. Bitcoin has the largest market capitalization, it is the king of the cryptocurrency market, Bitcoin has the ability to pump prices up very fast. I believe in the next few years Bitcoin will grow stronger and its price going to the moon, maybe over $ 30,000 by the end of the year.

Agreed the ripple team will pump it very fast that is why it is settled in 3rd place but putting all $1k in XRP is not safe maybe you have to wait for a long time and Bitcoin is also not profitable because $1k is not enough to invest in BTC. my advice is to find other altcoins which are booming in the present market.

I would recommend you reduce risks by dividing your deposit between different coins. You should never buy one token for 100% of your deposit.

First of all, 50% of your deposit should belong to bitcoin then you can choose how to split other 50%.
Even at this point I would not recommend you to invest all 50% in XRP or other token, divide it between 3-4 coins.

It depends on you how much risk can you manage. We all know that XRP is a very risky investment, the fact that many are already get loss during its last pump and dump scenario which made by the greedy bankers. In my opinion I prefer a  lesser risk because you can sleep well during the red market.

I'd rather choose bitcoin over XRP, because bitcoin is more stable compared to XRP. I kind of don't really buy with what XRP has to offer, or probably because of what happened last year when it skyrocketed and when it reached its peak it dropped down and has been having a hard time recovering plus the negative comments I've read when that happened as well.

In terms of sustainability and potential BTC will be your best choice. Cheesy  ROI will be a lot easier if you will buy at the DIP and wait for it to grow until it reaches the highest value. I just bought BTC when it fell to 6000$, luckily it went up to more or less 8000$ last week. So you see how fast the growth is? Smiley You can invest also in XRP if you want for long-term investment.

I better choose Bitcoin over Ripple reasons. Ripple highest pump reached was almost 2$ and came back to .5$ again. Yes you can get profit on Ripple but only a little since the pump is so little. But the good thing is you can only lose a bit if you invest on the wrong time on it since the price always stop at .5$. While Bitcoin got a high price pump than you can earn big and also a big dump that can loss you big. But i will still choose Bitcoin.

Interested on what you think would be a better investment right now. What would have the best ROI?
I know XRP has a lot of bad press but purely from a investment point of view I’m hedging more towards XRP.

If you want security of your investment and sure profit I'd suggest that you prefer BTC over XRP(Ripple). BTC has already proven its worth when it comes to long term investments. Ripple is a good coin as well but its still so young and mostly the pumps are not that huge and constant. BTC 4 years from now could double or even triple its value due to increased mining difficulty. You can also put 70% of your $1k into bitcoin and 30% to Ripple. Just follow your gut feeling between those two coins but always remember to invest an amount that you can afford to lose. Goodluck with your investments and have a good one!

Ripple is still evolving and searching for new areas of adoption while the development of bitcoin is in it's final stage. i.e. no possibility of any rapid changes. So, yeah Ripple would be the coin to hold for long term.

I will advice you to invest your 1000$ in different coin with diveded parts and not in only 1 coin. You can go your 50% capital in Bitcoin because Bitcoin is the king of all coins and its the mother currency of all crypto currencies and its the evergreen currency. Other 25 % capital you should invest in Ether because ether future is very bright because Ether demand increasing everyday. Other 25% capital you can invest in Ripple,  stellar,  verge and tron.

I would suggest you to choose XRP for short term investment. I mean this will be good deal as the market is recovering for now and if you do buy XRP at current rate and anyhow if XRP climbs to even 1 USD plus then you are already in huge profits. I mean with 1K USD bucks you can buy more than 100's XRP thus this time quantity will play major role in your investment. This will multiply your investment faster as compared to the BTC. I mean it is completely logical that if you put money into BTC and if you want to good profit then BTC will have to move a lot as compared to XRP, whereas that does seem to be impossible in short terms. So yeah go with the XRP.

in other scenario I dont see a good sign that xrp can go back to $3 thats why Im choosing bitcoin compare to xrp.

i am with you on this, i don't see any reason for XRP to get any pumps this soon but you have a small mistake in your statement and that is the bold part which i just want to clarify so that there is no confusion:
the $3 was the bubble price not the real price of it. if anything XRP should go back to 1000 satoshi price which it really deserves.

I think XRP is a bad coin controlled by banks. Of course you can buy bitcoin, but I think 1000 dollars is a small amount for buying bitcoin. I would advise you to buy NEO, or to consider new promising altcoins! I think if you buy several different coins then you will get a good profit after some time.

XRP have a huge ammount of supply. That is why the price of a single coin will gever become somehow close to the BTC price. From the other side Ripple developement is going really fast, they are making new partnerships and working on their protocol. Meanwhile BTC developement is going pretty slow. It may be a good move to take some risk and have some XRP in your portfolio but not much.

If I'm one of those investors, I would invest directly to bitcoin rather than XRP, and it simply because of the quality and value of bitcoin. Although XRP is good also to invest if a certain person cannot afford to invest on bitcoin, but talking about good future huge of income the best choice to invest is bitcoin.

In my opinion, I would invest the $1K on bitcoin because within a limited time you may able to see drastic changes in the price increase especially if the timing is bull market withing that week. However, due to volatility of bitcoin there is still a risk on the fluctuations which normally happen from time to time. In the event you will encounter a bear market on the following days after you had invested, stay cool and don't over react as this is just normal in the crypto market. Patiently wait for it's recovery and there are instances also that it may sometime take a longer time for it to recover.

Always remember ROI is highest in BTC than any other coin.you have very handsome amount you should split it into both the coins as below.

1.80% into BTC investment is safe you have option to engage in short or long term investment.return is guaranteed depend upon your trading strategy.

2.20% into XPR and do short term trading in this way you can earn good return on daily basis.

Ripple is one of my favorite cryptocurrencies, a very solid project that was born of a consortium of banks and still has great potential, so if I had $ 1,000 I would probably invest them all in XRP. I know that in terms of diversification is wrong, but Bitcoin I do not really like it

In the meantime bitcoin are suddenly pump up a little bit ($8k) and xrp price are rage to $0.5 to $0.6 if I have a good amount of money in my wallet example $1000 I will put them all in bitcoin why? Because a high tendency of good return if bitcoin go back again to $20k in other scenario I dont see a good sign that xrp can go back to $3 thats why Im choosing bitcoin compare to xrp.

XRP is important for the application of cryptographic currency to business.

But I am more willing to invest in BTC, because BTC is already a brand, people are more willing to make profit in BTC!

the only reason why XRP could ever give you any profit is if it gets a pump and that will only be in a short term manner. right now there is no indication of any pump for this coin so investing in anything else is a wiser choice! for example Dentcoin and Verge are getting pumped right now!

by the way it has never been ... or bitcoin. the choice is always invest in bitcoin then decide where to invest that bitcoin in short term to get more profit.

crypto currencies I have heard the most name in the market recently XRP (ripple) coin. When I analyzed the project, I found it successful and the investors will surely win. If I had 1000 dollars, I would have taken the bitcoin. because it is stronger
