Sunny, I want to weigh in too and say I appreciate what you're doing w/ PPC. I was very enthused to see a real POS cryptocurrency working in the wild. The fact that you continue to work to improve PPC shows you're dedicated to evolving the concept. Your detractors who attack PPC and you personally are just trying to make you abandon the project in frustration. Don't let them get to you. Breaking new ground always upsets the people who fear their investment in older infrastructure is being threatened.

IMHO, once someone chooses to throw around insulting names like "Sunny Drag Queen", they have outed themselves as kids and should be ignored completely. Adults don't behave like that. You've got plenty of supporters, even if your detractors are making more noise that the rest of us.

Really appreciate all your support Smiley I should really start doing a better job of ignoring all these pointless attacks. I was probably a bit too naive to hope that I can instill some reason to the mind of the trolls but so far it's been quite futile.

So yeah I need to concentrate more on the real work at my hands.

Fuzzy is quite right that one shouldn't put in ppcoin what one cannot afford to lose. The project is experimental so please manage your risk accordingly.

Again thank you all for the kind support and I will try my best  Smiley

Yup, Proof-of-Stake is an interesting concept, which is why PPC should be given a chance.

Yeah i'm still supporting this coin, not just cos I have an interest in that I am running www.PPCointalk.org, looking to set up a PPC auction site, have a number of PPCoins..... (about 60,000 I have no issues with people knowing how much PPC i have), but MOST IMPORTANTLY this is the first alt coin to implement the idea of Proof of Stake. As this is very early days in the world of cryptocurrencies I think we all have to take the perspective that we are testing the ideas and concepts of Satoshi original work and the ideas that have spawned from it.  I see this as an alt currency that I was fortunate to be around for the first weeks launch of the coin, and I have some spare computers, GFX cards, time and electricity to support Sunny Kings initial development work and the PPC Network without it going to break my bank or leave me with a sour taste in my mouth if I loose everything.... (of course i'll be disappointed but its not the end of the world......and it seems to me a lot of people in here that criticize a LOT seem to be after a quick buck, or to be made rich off their early adoption of a coin... All I ask is what have those users done to advance either the Altcoin or BTC for that matter?? Peoples time is money, and credit is due to the developers who have other jobs and work on these in their spare time.

I see a lot of attacking people directly for what purpose?? You may have been burnt in the past by a scam, and there will be plenty more to come in the future.... so if u don't like the look of something... don't get involved... and for those that do get involved ... don't put all ur eggs in one basket, and if you are not going to make constructive comments or criticise constructively then don't comment pls... you are just trolling... but it does make it easier to identify which users to ignore in here

Nice to see PPCoin steadily marching along and the difficulty and network and exchange rate seems to have stabilized a little now too after the mad rush with new pools and exchanges that were created.

Anyway rant rant rant so sorry...

TL;DR  Long live the Peer-To-Peer Coin!!

Looks like there is hope,  here's some stats on PoS rate vs PoW.  Just shy of 50% of the blocks are PoS now.

ppc_db=# select (min(id)/1000)*1000 || '-' || (min(id)/1000)*1000+1000 as range, count(*), 1000/100*count(*)/100 as percentage from block_history where difficulty < 500 and id > 3000 and id < 10000 group by id/1000 order by id/1000 ASC;
   range    | count | percentage
------------+-------+------------
 6000-7000  |    13 |          1
 7000-8000  |   211 |         21
 8000-9000  |   447 |         44
 9000-10000 |   474 |         47
