Short answer: No.

Long Answer: Mayyybe, if you undervolt and/or are mining a less power hungry algo like X11.

Either way, you will probably want 1200W+. Even if you can run on a 1000W PSU, efficiency and lifespan will suffer from running at 100% capacity.

If you undervolt and downclock the cards to their most efficient (in terms of MH/s per watt) point, then you can easily run them all on a good 1000W PSU. The better question then is whether you will get enough of a hashrate bump to justify it... I can't answer that.

I would not personally do this because 280x's and 7950's like very different scrypt settings, and you are hobbling your rig if you ever want to go full blast.

1200W would be appropriate since you will have some headroom , also undervolt the cards.

The asus can be undervolted and is quite effecient and you are probably peaking with 3 280X on a 1000W. Also its holding because its a single rail PSU. It will shut down if you connect another 280/7950 in it.

Hey guys,

I am currently using 3 GPUs - all 280x - with a 1000 Watts PSU.

I recently purchased a 7950 Powercolor PCS+ .

Can I power all 4 cards with this PSU: BeQuiet! PowerZone 1000W 80+Bronze ?

I am mining Scrypt algos

all 280x are ASUS DirectCU II TOP

thanks
