Really? I'm in Region X and I didn't feel anything..

I was in Manila during a couple quakes and this last one left a few high rises leaning on each other.

I know I'm going off topic but the Philippines sure gets hit by more than it's fair share of natural disasters.

Typhoons
Mudslides
Volcanos
Floods
Tsunamis
Earthquakes

Added to the list recently is

Droughts

Yup, it indeed happened. Floods, mudslides were for me are not a natural disaster because it's caused is obviously because of the human doings. What we should do is to have a better plans of having a good establishments.

This is getting serious and I do agree with op that "the mother nature has started getting angry with us" we are not suppose to be happy about killing and wickedness that is going on around the globe and earthquake is one of the way we should know that the natural world is not happy with us.

I think that this certain disasters are just natural since we are just living on a place that do not have control. The sad thing is that even tho we know that our planet is dying naturally (we human beings also starting to contribute more damages to this planet) Therefore it only leads to faster way of destroying the planet. By that being said it also causes much more destruction.

In the end it is us to blame.

I was just chilling in bed when it started. Kinda worried my wooden floor house would give in but thankfully we're quite far away from the epicenter. Then saw in the news that there was another one farther south. Not surprising since in a way they're all kinda connected, land just floats on molten rock.

Just remember, go under a table or a sturdy door frame. Earthquakes last less than a minute, usually no longer than 30s. No use running around in panic, by the time you got out the quake is over. If that building you are in is gonna collapse, it's gonna collapse. You'll be dead. At least die in a spot where your body wouldn't be mangled. Make it easier for the retrieval team to identify you.  Cool

Someone who's happy with the bad things that are happening to his surroundings is out of his/her mind.

Earthquake is a natural calamity it has no emotion.

As I woke up, I've checked a social media platform and I saw  a lot of posts from my friends to keep safe because of the said earthquakes. I thought that it was just a normal one then I've noticed that it has already been circulating on the internet as there were more than 10 large earthquakes that had happen around the globe. The largest one so far was from the Philippines scoring (M 6.0)

Be safe everyone as the mother nature might be starting to get angry about how we treat this place. I am pretty sure as well that a multiple earthquakes averaging into M 3.0 had already happened before.

I am alive but in hibernation.
A sad tragedy.

Unfortunately we cannot predict the earthquakes but we can learn what should we do in earthquake and to prepare ourselves for the earthquake.

Just an update: There are still on going huge earthquakes that has a magnitude of 7 that hits the luzon area.
And in Mindanao area too.

that is a pretty outstanding number of earthquakes. I wish more money would go into the research of why the world is quite angry right now. I wonder if the earthquakes have anything to do with global warming
I hope so, we do need this kind of research for the sake of humanity. This phenomenon can't be avoided but I don't think that there's a relation between global warming and earthquakes.

I think that is the time when you need to start worrying about the people you care about. It may be the last time you get to talk to them or something, might as well treat them the best all the time and expect nothing to be returned. Looking positively could benefit everyone, not just ourselves, but the outlook and the idea of thinking what could happen in the future if you are happy.

There is no point in worrying for me instead let them feel that they shouldn't worry about this kind of things. What matters now for me is to keep that bond

It is so hard to get prepared most of the time especially if you are not in your home or in the office because you will never know the best places for you to be safe.

I will agree with you tho, to look more positively in life. This kind of calamity always reminds me  to always live a meaningful life cause we will never know when is the last time that we can take our last breath.

@xvids - That’s one of the most tragic thing, knowing that you are going to live up to the guilt of letting them go into the mall first before yourself just to go park. What a small way it is but it’s devastating for sure.

The earthquake this week is very scary. I'm from PH and there are so many casualties destroyed. Me personally some parts of our house wreck and I needed to fix it. I hope that earthquakes will stop coming by and let us fix our homes again.

I am from the Philippines and this is the most tragic news that I heard from this earthquake,
Man loses family deadly temblor I can't imagine how much pain he is in right now.
He just park their car and let his wife and kids enter the mall then it collapse.
May all of the victim of this tragic earthquake rest in peace .

Actually I was in a local mall in the Philippines when the first earthquake hit. We are in the car but we didn't feel anything but I'm already aware since I tuned to local news when I'm in side of my car.

And we are just about 10-15 minutes when the Ayala management decided to close the mall so we were evacuated. Good thing I didn't see anyone panicking or something, but I rushed my family to go out of the mall because it seems very serious at that time so we just decided to go home and cut our afternoon bonding time. So stay safe everyone.

6.1M Earthquake hit Arunachal Pradesh today. Most places don't have buildings to able to withstand over 7M so hopefully the magnitude was still less. Philippines lost 16 people on 22nd April. May their soul RIP.

I ahve seen buildings being able to resist even 8.3M so hopefully they build buildings with a higher resistance. My building doesn't resist even 4M and last time, it created cracks in the building after which they just repaired it. 4M earthquakes are so common in Maharashtra.

It's definitely at that moment when you realize you really need to have a better outlook on life. All I can think about that is how to survive and what to do when I survive this. That was my current mindset during that time, and I already asked my loved ones if they are okay. That idea left me thinking if I should have my own emergency kit and survival gear when something goes wrong. If you were to assess my current situation with preparation, I would be 0/10.

I think this would be a great time to imply how prepared you want to be when that time comes. We will never know but it's best to be prepared.

This scares me, I've felt some shake with my sofa yesterday and I thought that's just my cat playing but its all over my newsfeed that it's an Earthquake.

It's in every part of the world.

Is this a coincidence? be safe everyone. My brother immediately messaged me and he's on the road side, people are screaming all over the place, thank God that he's safe.

As I have heard in the news broadcast it was Magnitude 6.1 in Floridablanca, Pampanga Philippines.
This is the first time I've ever experienced a fear of an earthquake. The past earthquake never annoyed and got my attention because they were too mild but this is a different story.

We were on the fifth floor of the building of our office when this happened. I still remember that I was actually doing my job and answering all the queries of our customers and then suddenly one I felt dizzy. I never knew it first but then I heard loud screams side by side. I started to panic and everyone went out of the building.

I hope those 3 countries affected this larges Earthquake like the Philippines, Japan and Taiwan will be fine and no physical injuries to the casualties. Be careful guys for the aftershock that possible next happen.

This was not the first time that this large earthquakes had happen in Luzon area. Maybe this was the first time that you've experienced that you are quite near with the center mag.

You should have to be very very careful, Phivolcs have been giving details before about the "Big one" because of the huge fault zone in the Philippines and on the other parts of Asia.
