You will regret if you buy once mining isn't profitable again, the only way mining can make sense when ETH PoW is gone is if your electricity consumption is so low, you won't be bothered much.

Nvidia GTX 1080 why will you receive these cards, It would be better to take Nvidia 3060 Ti instead. The cards will be newer. You will continue mining with less tired cards. It is also technologically newer. I think you should buy Nvidia 3060 Ti.

I've seen mining results of gtx 1080 online where people are using 150watt to get 47MH on this GPU, I think its still a good buy but if you can find rx vega 56 at the same price they are just better than gtx 1080.

When a video card is undervolted, its hashrate also drops due to a problem with the DAG file. I have a power limit of 170 watts.
If we talk about buying old video cards, now there are a lot of offers for sale. It is better to wait a bit when there is more information about Ethereum mining.

They do not consume a lot, when undervolted correctly they consume the same power as Rx 580 and they do like 5 Mhsh more, still they are good cards for 2022,the maximum price for one of them I would pay right now is less than 300 USD especially when brand new RTX 3060 12 GB with LHR of course are being sold at near 450 EUR brand new for the same hash rate as that of 1080,better to buy this one I would suggest.

It depends on how much energy costs you.

Currently such a card should be able to mine the equivalent of about 0.001 BTC.
It really isn't much, but it can make up for it if you have a low energy cost and if the price of these cards isn't too high.

Someone is trying to sell me 6 1080 graphic cards today but I turned it down because of the power consumption of the 1080s, what do you think here? Did I make the right choice?, how much can you buy a 1080 GPU in 2022?.
