Bringing this up again as I finally managed to get that 44.95 Mhsh or that 45 Mhsh everyone is talking about.Unfortunately my EVGA FTW3 can do so only with Power Limit at 100% and Core Clock +100 and Memory Clock +600 and of course using the Enlargement Pill.I don't know how others get that 45 Mhsh at Power Limit 65% but I simply can't,just wanted to update everyone that the GTX 1080 ti-s although old cards do not really lose their hashing power like many of us think and they are still capable at 45 Mhsh which makes them better than many cards around especially if you find them cheap in Ebay or other marketplaces.

If you are doing 100% power something is wrong.

but it is an old card.

100% = 45Mhsh

Please test
 95%  =  ?
 90%  =  ?
 85%  =  ?
 80%  =  ?
 75%  =  ?
 70%  =  ?

I have found just about every single Nvidia card I have mined with (300 or so) has a tipping point.

 say on your card :
100% does 45.0
 95% does 43.5
 90% does 43.0
 85% does 42.3

 80% drops to 32.

could you test those other numbers? I am interested if the fall off is tiny until 80% to 75% or whatever.

Most 1080tis can go down to 70  or 75%  before hash drops a ton.

I already did and at 90% 43.5 Mhsh, 80% 42.5 Mhsh and at 70% which I have now running is stable at 42.2 Mhsh while before I kept it at 65% power limit with a maximum of 41 Mhsh, the stable hash rate though is a bit lower,so to summarize:

100% 45 Mhsh
90% 43.5 Mhsh
80% 42.5 Mhsh
70% 42.2 Mhsh
65% 41 Mhsh at max but usually at 40.xx Mhsh

I don't know why the values are irregular as since it is 43.5 Mhsh at 90% and 45 Mhsh at 100% at 80% should have been 42 Mhsh but is a higher number. In my card the fall is tiny as you can see but keep in mind I am using the Enlargement Pill as I said, without it the fall is much bigger.

I tried to build rig with gtx1080ti but those cards are still overpriced that's why I gave up on them, their price in the market are close to the exact amount you would buy RTX cards so why buy old GPU instead of the new one?

yeah if you are paying 500 for a used 1080ti I think it is too much

the lowest evga 1080ti is 600 on ebay

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=evga+1080ti&_sacat=0&LH_BIN=1&_sop=15

I personally think this is  a stupid price to pay.

I rather buy a 3070 for 1000

 https://www.ebay.com/itm/334083819020?

I have zero to do with any seller I just picked them to show prices.

or pay from a dealer  to be sure of a warranty.

https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=43115

https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=43110

note not sure these will be good as I do not know what msi says the LHR names are.

Stupid buying price indeed, one can instead buy Vega 56 or 64 with that money and earn 50MH mining Ethereum with 130watt power draw or mine Ergo  with 180-200MH at 140watt, the gtx1080ti draws more power when mining

I saw RTX 3060 doing about 20 Mhsh in Ravencoin while GTX 1080 ti still does just a bit above 25 Mhsh and RTX 3070 does about 29.xx Mhsh which is not a big difference for me here, also they still run very cool,in my environment they never surpass 66 degree celsius even if outside is 40 degree celsius which is very hot. They are also the easiest to find at a reasonable price, for me 600 USD is OK based on what they offer and especially Evga is a very good brand, they have the best cooling.I know RTX is a better investment as they are new generation but their price difference is the factor that limits me to only add 1080 Ti-s to my rigs as of now.

I which I can get this gtx1080ti used on the market for a fair price right now but they are still currently overpriced, those cards are good but another thing to worry about is ETH mining going away very soon
Do not underestimate 1080ti, that GPU supports so many algorithms that other cards can't mine because of lesser profitability, Those who build rigs based on gtx1080ti will remain in good state even if ETH mining stops today

1. ETH mining (EThash) 2.55$
2. Flux mining (Zelhash) 2.58$
3. Firo mining  (MTP)      2.48$
4. ZClassic mining (Equihashzero) 2.48$
5. RYO (Cryptonight GPU)   2.47$
6. Swap (Cuckaroo29s)      2.46$

Guys I got this results using whattomine, all Hails to gtx1080ti 🙌🙌

Mine are all gone but I did really really really good with them.

The evga hybrids
the msi/corsair hybrids

All just ran ran ran and ran.

We have 20 of them not 1 failure after 3 years use.

I sold them late last year  and upgraded to amd 5000 series amd 6000 series and nvidia 3000 series.

First of all Eth mining is not going away very soon,I predict to happen somewhere between end of 2022 and beginning of 2023.Second even if Eth mining goes away, these cards 1080 ti-s are very good at 25 Mhsh in Kawpow algorithm mining Ravencoin.
For the price I bought it 700 EUR as it was the only option available and I wanted badly to add another card to my mining rig so I bought it without thinking twice because RTX 3000 and new RX 6000 series were 1500 EUR and up at that time.

Look into ETHLargement Pill mate, without this the gtx1080 and 1080ti can't reach the max hashrate capabilities, here is a link for this below try to read and follow the instructions, if you don't like Nicehash there are other ways to active in different miners

https://www.nicehash.com/blog/post/increase-gtx-1080-1080-ti-titan-xp-mining-perfomance-by-50-percent

Thanks a lot.Not the hash rate increase I wanted but hey it is near that.I am able now to get 41 Mhsh from 37.7 Mhsh I was doing before the enlargement pill. This is the only time I say positive things about such pills Wink and you deserve a merit for that.

I am mining with different cards in my mining rig.The card that performs the lowest is a Gtx 1080 ti because all other cards are new ones produced in December 2020 and in January 2021 like RX 6800 XT,RTX 3060 ti and like those.
I see everywhere that 1080 ti should do 45 Mhsh at a maximum but should easily reach 41-42 Mhsh without problem. My card is an Evga FTW and it does 38 Mhsh at it best performance,I know I have the correct OC settings. What I notice since I switched to NBminer is that all other cards Mutcl-Maximum Utilization is 99 or 100% while this card is only 74-78%,is this a hardware problem maybe? The card may have been damaged before as I got it used, not that I am unhappy with 38 Mhsh but if I could get 42 Mhsh I would be a bit happier.

One thing to add,I am running driver 456.71 and maybe is an old driver problem ?
