Maybe I'm missing something here. I just checked and EVGA 1200 P2 has 6 VGA plugs and 2 CPU plugs. If you're using 2 connectors per card how is it possible to run 5 cards ?

You need to some adaptors to change Molex or SATA to PCIE.

If you get founder's edition 1080ti, they have 6pin + 8 pin connector. I think an Evga 1600W P2/T2 should have sufficient connectors for 6 cards.

For reference, I run 5x 1080ti rigs with Evga 1200 p2. It draws 1200W from the wall when all 5 GPUs are set to 85% TDP. I set them to 80% TDP to be safe.

yes, you need first 2 x8 pin for each gpu, that psu come with 4 of those if i'm not mistaken, but anyway that psu has 6 x plug in which is what you need, just buy more cable, also for the wattage, underpowerto 80% tdp your 1080ti and they would not consume more than 220watt or so, and it's should be good you have room to spare

Hi guys,

I saw some posts mentioning evga 1600w can run a 6 gpu rig. If you have 11 pcie connectors and 2 connectors per card wouldn't that be a maximum of 5 cards per one 1600? Also if you run them with stock settings that will be 275×6=1650w

Is there a way for doing this ?
