Too bad all their DCs are in Europe. Otherwise I'd get one.

Your Aruba account will be validated upon your first order.

In order to validate your account, you need to provide the following:
- Individual: copy of valid ID card / passport.
- Company: any company registration document.
This is like the opposite of what I would want to share for a VPS. If I use it, it is for privacy.
This is the first I've ever heard of a VPS provider needing proof of real life identity before setting up your services... Seems like it would be a lot easier to just browse LowEndBox.com for a few days until you find a similar cheap VPS for sale.. It's not very tough to find a small VPS for < $15 USD per year that doesn't require any verification of your person.

Yes, it's called a Virtual Private Server for a reason.

Hey mate. We was talking on my other thread about VPS. Was trying this service but have problems with phone number. Because they don't accept my +49 number. Sad
U just put a random number then. And tell the support ur phone doesn't receive a message and ask them if they will email you the code.
The also did this for me, only it took a few days for them to reply.

Thanks mate. Will do this next month. If I have questions, I'll ask you Smiley
No problem, just send them an email every day untill they reply.
So the do not have an excuse that it was accidently deleted or something.

The Free Trial seems to be US-only: "Please enter the value in format '+1 123456789'."
That seems weird, for a company with 3 privately owned Data Centers in Europe.
You do not want to get a free VPS, because I think that will not work anyway.
I bought one for 1.2$ and they have normal support and the vps is good for hitleap and running other traffic exchanges.

Hello,

This is a tutorial on how to get a VPS for 1.2$/ month.

Purchase on from arubacloud.com, then download this software on your computer: http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html

Once you have installed Putty, open it. Then u need to enter the IP address of the VPS, which u can find in your account on arubacloud.com. Then u will get to an ssh console, it will require you to fill in the root password, which u also can see in ur account. Once you logged in as root, run these commands, the # parts are the commands u need to enter:

# apt-get update
# apt-get upgrade
# apt-get install ubuntu-desktop
# apt-get install gdm
# /etc/init.d/gdm start
# apt-get install tightvncserver
# vncserver :1 -geometry 1024x768
# vncserver -kill :1
# vi  ~/.vnc/xstartup
Press ''a" to enter edit mode, then paste this at the bottom of the file: "gnome-session &"
# vncserver :1 -geometry 1024x768

Then login with vnc.
