hmmm i think that was impossible to know someone private key.

who belong that address ? is it yours

Probably not. That's why he is in a hurry to crack that. Helping to steal other peoples money is a crime btw. AFAIK even the attempt is.
no wonder why that user wants to share the half amount to anyone who can cracked the address successfully.  What a very lazy hacker! Lol
I thought this is a contest like what sometimes happens here but after reading then text above seems not.  But i was wondering where did he get those codes.? Or that's what he only knows how to hack, i mean the basics? Because you know obviously he's not the owner.. Lmao

Hello, I have only recently understood all this (VS, BitCrack and now this kangaroo)

I understand that this is the compressed pubKey, but it gives me another address (different from the one that starts with 17) and that confuses me a bit.

Can you help me understand what the correct inputs should be in the kangaroo?
Something like
"
124bff742a76f92fa3a76f8f6552f
1FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
0213ee32399b1441d0c8cf7caf6d10641b30d280fe1b59fcaa09eb0326cad5cb6f "

If I put it to work, would I get a key that I can directly use, or would I get a key that I have to "Share" with someone to finish "finishing" the job?

I sent you a message a couple of days ago.

Thanks

Genesis address is different from the rest of the bitcoin addresses, consensus rules prevent you from spending bitcoins from the Genesis address even if you have its private key.
Actually they do allow you. You're just unable of spending the genesis block's coinbase UTXO. The address has 18.52264025 spendable bitcoins sitting in the dust. Quite huge amount if we're talking about crackable puzzles.

I'm not falling for anything here. I am only interested to know who the owner of these 1.2 BTC is.
This is what I was asking too. It turns out that some people intentionally left some BTC to be found from individuals. It's probably a way to test the system's security. The money is the incentive for their work.

Here's another puzzle: Bitcoin puzzle transaction ~32 BTC prize to who solves it

I think it's too complicated, it needs some technicalities and knowledge, to solve that puzzle, and also it needs much time to crack those Private keys if ever there is someone who cracks those keys, it is an old puzzle right so why it's so silent about it, how about those early attempts 1.2 BTC in today's price is a good reward but I doubt it if someone can crack that keys.

Is there any successful crackers craked an existing Bitcoin address. If this is possible, why is it no one dared to opened the Genesis address.  I dared them to open it or else you are wasting time.

Only the first 50 coins are not in the UTXO set. There are more than 3000 UTXO, 18.5 BTC waiting to be spent.

I'm not falling for anything here. I am only interested to know who the owner of these 1.2 BTC is.

It's puzzle #120 of the Bitcoin challenge transactions. Needless to say though, I don't think anybody remembers the original puzzle author by now, there's no existing evidence of the authorship left.

What is these post up to?
Who has that address and do you think you could use people to gain wealth for yourself 🙄

This is a puzzle of 120 but with modified public key. So now públic key not 120 bit, but a Mach smaller then 120 bit. Find a prickly, Publix’s in this thread and we get 1.2 btc

Who is the owner of that 1.2 BTC?

AGD what are you falling for this nonsense? This dude under the nickname "Manosuper" on GitHub is pursuing his own selfish goals. Do not pay attention!

Hi,
your range in searchspace is around -116 bit to 116 bit (=117bit or up to 118bit).

As you don't know in which bitrange the key is exactly to be found it will increase the searchtime.
I don't have the math but I think when using pollard kangaroo and you don't know the exact bitrange (somewhere between -116bit to +116bit), you will increase searchtime to the same (if not even more) as a regular 120bit key. BSGS will need too much memory and preprocessing time.

You might expose your calculations for the target key so people can audit and you could get more feedback.

Edit:
I personally (not a math or crypto guy) don't believe in these tricky calculations. It is very easy to think of them and it is not a thing in any published ECDLP optimization.
There is maybe even a simple mathematical law that prohibits these kind of approaches absolutely.

I'm curious what people like gmaxwell think of these recent approaches you can find in some threads in development sub-forum.

Edit: I realized you don't know the sign of the PK. This increases searchspace even more. I've edited my message above accordingly.
