12V bench PSU for pci express power plugs?

That thirty amp supply has enough juice for 2x5830 no more. PC power supplies generally cost less but there is the odd bench supply that comes close. They would be ok if you needed power for one or two more cards in an open rig but too costly for primary.

For the supplied current the bench PSU's cost more. Which is why I convert computer PSU's to bench PSU's. Most good single rail computer PSU's have 50+ amps on the 12v rail.

I've just found that the 6 & 8 pin pci express power connectors used in GPUs are only 12V (no 5 or 3).
