The good news is that every year crypto becomes more popular in this world with increasing users adopting several other crypto but surely they have put bitcoin as their initial investment ! celebrities have followers and fans maybe if they reveal what's in their basket then the price of the coin will rise like rumors of last time about elon and his shiba

Cryptocurrencies have been proven to be able to print many new rich people, this has finally made many celebrities interested in investing in crypto.
Although statistically every year the popularity of crypto continues to increase. However, with many celebrities joining, the popularity of crypto will
increase even faster. This is good for the development of crypto, especially crypto needs support from many people, especially celebrities, so that
the crypto adoption process will be more massive. Moreover, celebrities have many followers and also fans, once they decide to invest in crypto,
their followers and supporters will immediately follow.

So I was reading news on cryptocurrency adoption in 2021 and stumbled upon a list of notable celebrities that adopted cryptocurrency and top on the list is Snoop Dogg, Elon musk, Mark Zuckerberg etc, this have shown the path for wider crypto adoption in the coming years as institutions and entrepreneurs now diving into the crypto space.
Coin telegraph did a nice compilation of the list and the area of interest.

because many people have become rich from crypto, the world's celebrities don't want to be left out of it...

over $1 trillion in cash flow in crypto right now and it's really tempting stuff, just look at how snoop dog makes money from NFT, he really makes NFT soar. if only tempted by big profits then their goal in crypto is really a mistake. crypto is freedom, even though being able to give wealth is only a bonus.

Most times celebrities want to be in the news so they look for trending topics and then tag along, I'll say Elon Musk's adoption of Cryptocurrency seems genuine. The truth is Cryptocurrency needs celebrities and celebs need Crypto. It's a win win situation.

It has been pretty crazy how many celebrities have "hopped on board" with cryptocurrency, and namely bitcoin. Just last night when I was watching the Chicago Bears vs the Minnesota Vikings they played the Matt Damon Crypto.com commercial.  When I signed up for this website back in 2016, I had no idea we would be this far along in 2021 as we've become, it's pretty surreal.

floyd mayweather, mice tison, i saw on his body there is a bitcoin tattoo, i'm sure he also invests in bitcoin, and there are other names too like famous footballers like leonil messi, messi is one of the most famous people in the world, he once posted about blockchain on his instragram, he even talked about bitcoin in the media..
A lot of celebrities tattoo Bitcoin on they skin and that goes a long way to show they support for the gaint of crypto and also most of them have the personal NFTs that they also develop and promote through they songs and arts.

Snoop Dogg invested in altcoin and not Bitcoin and he also has his own NFT, generally, this will give cryptocurrency a wider public awareness and also mainstream media. Big names invested heavily in cryptocurrency this year.
Well the title says clearly , "13 top celebrities adopt CRYPTOCURRENCY in 2021" meaning there had been mention nothing about Bitcoin literally(though this is a Bitcoin discussion board) so meaning even in which currency they invest , Bitcoin, altcoins yet they are investors and adopters .
so basically Snoop Dogg like the other rapper(that i forget the name)  is crypto users and investors.

I guess it is Mike Tyson that you mean?

but since they have tattoos in their Body so more or less they are crypto supporters .

Elon Musk, sure his name will pop up. Have been seeing him a lot during this past year. But Kim Kardashian is a surprise. Anyway, it's a good thing to see so many celebrities involed, great for adoption.
Elon Musk, right from time the Young Man always come against bitcoin, i dont think it can be counted as one of the celebrities that adopt the use of bitcoin, rather it scandal the potentiality of bitcoin and went to create another coin that will take over bitcoin and add his highest effort in order to make it to accelerate to the highest other, so today Doge coin price is still low like others.

Actually those are the TOP celebrities but there are more of them that keeps silent , there are surely many celeb that let their investment known by no one as this may lead them from becoming a target by hackers.

and besides many of them had been exposed for years now about their involvement in crypto so nothings new to them .
Yes agree here we have very long list from many countries, but they are not appearing due to some personal reasons and these are just having some personal sack, so they are doing this all even as I read from this list few are just trying to have NFT with some good bucks, and then they will jump out from this hype.
Sometime back I read few blogs as some good number of peoples were interesting and few were studying all about this crypto and bitcoin even many were investing some good amounts with having very good profit, but they are not appearing it's really strange, good thing adoption is happening in good way but still very long way to go for this all.

It's great to know that there are many famous personalities who are also into crypto nowadays. This just means that even the richest ones have trust in what crypto has to offer because they know its potential. I view the list released by coin telegraph as good news because the people who are on the list are well-known which means that they have a wide reach and audience which they can also influence to take a look and observe crypto and even try it themselves. They can bring so many people to our community which is beneficial to the market because there would be more demand.

But of course, the audience should still do their own research to avoid losses and regrets later on. After all, we should be responsible for our money. While it is good to know different ways how to earn and make a profit over something, it's still necessary to do our own background checking and counter-checking whether the thing introduced to us is really beneficial and legitimate.

I can literally see the positive side of celebrities adopting cryptocurrency, whereas it is being widely recognized brought by the influence of these popular personalities. Although, I am also worried about the detrimental impacts of such. I just hope that celebrities or any influential people would really look at cryptocurrencies on a deeper and meaningful level and not just some kind of tool to be taken advantage of.

Okay, going through the list, almost all of the celebrities that have found access to crypto have done so because they put out an NFT.
I don't know if that's really a good development. Because it seems like they are doing this less out of conviction and more to make a quick buck and jump on a hype wave.

Once a man, twice a child!
Sincerely speaking, Snoop Dogg didn't grab the opportunity at the right time. One would've expected that he took up Dogecoin as it has a big similarity with his Dog moniker. Regrettably, he didn't. He was virtually silent on the whole crypto stuff until Elon Musk came on the scene to promote Dogecoin and then Shiba Inu too. I read in certain quarters that Musk is also behind Floki (I don't know for certain how true that is, anyway.) I was apprehensive if I would find Floyd Mayweather's name on the top list and would've instantly passed my judgment of what a sham the whole thing is. Nonetheless, I still think most names on that list don't deserve to be there. Apart from El Salvador, Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, the rest are mere fame seekers who haven't done much for the growth and adoption of cryptocurrencies apart from buying and trading them. I mentioned Mayweather above because dude promoted a certain alt that later scammed.

as long as you are rich, you can come to crypto anytime. the problem for us is, we dont have much money, and start to collect from the other source before. lucky for knowing this earlier, and lucky for rich people that already lift this thing whatever the price.

Musicians and digital artists will likely activate thier industry due to NTF. Its only fitting they are going to be adopting blockchain to earn than record distribution and they may individually have thier own audio streaming app like every musician and artist have their own Audio streaming app competing with spotify.

Snoop Dog tweeting he is @CozomoMedici was really interesting because that user had been collecting a lot of NFTS in the past.

Football athletes, boxers, artists etc, maybe I have often heard and seen them involved in trading, investing and adopting crypto, i can say they are no stranger to crypto, especially Bitcoin, it is natural for them to choose the crypto alternative at this time, profitable and sure, over the adoption of gold etc.

However, I also hope that in the future both international and local artists can get to know Bitcoin better, I've also seen international artists say that their motivation to get involved in crypto is due to the positive things Elon Musk is doing, in cyberspace, it is proven that he said crypto is more effective than others.

This is good news to us all, celebrities adopting and promoting bitcoin. My only concern is for them not to use it as an advantage to promote a scam project to their followers because they will be paid for that someday. Many people are so naive to crypto, not to be able to carry their own research on a project, they do go with what celebrities or others promote.
Cryptocurrency needs more popularity in a good way, not in a bad way

Many people have this "follow famous people are doing" kind of mentality so if celebrities can be getting into Bitcoin and cryptocurrency their action can certainly helping make cryptocurrency go deeper mainstream and be a part of the consciousness of the people in our present culture and era. Right now, there are already famous personalities who declared their support to cryptocurrency by being holders themselves. Now, am hoping we can entice more movie/tv personalities, politicians, sports figures, famous business names to get into cryptocurrency so they can influence their circles to do the same.

I think mostly celebrities are on NFT's wherein only El Salvador really adopt bitcoin and use it as a legal tender, and for me i don't think if those celebrities realy using crypto because you know obviously for sure they become part of crypto projects because of being so popular. I mean they're just using their name to advertise the projects easily. Not the real adoption like what El Salvador did. Just saying

Since most of these celebrities were shilling shitcoins, memecoins,NFTs and crypto scams,I think it would be better to move this forum thread into the Altcoin discussion forum.
Those celebrities didn't adopt Bitcoin, they adopted all of the above mentioned "coins".Most of those coins cannot be called cryptocurrencies, because they are centralized shitcoins.
I'm sure that many celebrities have bough Bitcoin, but the vast majority of them won't reveal that they are currently HODLing BTC because:
1.There's no need for them to reveal such info.
2.There's no incentive for them to promote BTC,compared to all the shitcoin/NFT projects, which are being promoted and which prices are being pumped.
3.Bitcoin is a part of the pop culture and it isn't such a big deal,if someone is HODLing Bitcoins.

All good except the Elon Musk. He was always vocal in supporting cryptos for sure but he manipulated the market like anything. He started with bitcoin, then moved to dogecoin and then started promoting a meme coin like Shiba Inu. That's not good! He knows his power and influence on social media and he used his influence very cleverly to manipulate the price of cryptos.

Being vocal is good and manipulation of market is crime!

There are many celebrities who release their own NFTs, but actually, I don't think that it is a very good investment. If this picture (video) is not backed by something, most likely you will not sell it on the secondary market. Sometimes such NFTs give you an opportunity to have an appointment with this famous person or get tickets for concerts with a discount then, it is better, but still, I would rather not buy such NFTs.
Yes right if the project or your NFT is one time hype then what would the holders get after they spend huge funds for them? The market is now against those projects which are just jpeg images or does not have any utility to serve in the market as they can't sell it later on at profit and they will keep dumping to some below levels.

Talking about celebrities there are many who are investing in crypto market these days but at current most of them are jumping into NFT space to make high profits within short period. With time many others will also reveal they hold crypto.

Make no mistake about it, some of those are in the list are celebrities and sport personalities.

So it makes me wonder if they are in crypto for long term or just riding the popularity of it since we have a good early bull run as bitcoin reaches all time high and other altcoins too.

This is very similar to 2017s' peak, wherein there's a lot of them joining, but where are those individuals now?

Not your keys, not your coins!
Celebrities can have big capital but it does not mean they will spend all capital they have into crypto market. They are people who lack of knowledge about crypto technically but they can have good impacts to their fan communities. If they invest in crypto, many of their fans will know about it, and some of them (not too litle) will follow them to invest in crypto.

However, such people are weak hands in early months they participate in crypto market. They are retail investors I meant and retail investors are not as important as institutional investors. I have more interested in institutional investors because they are long term investors and have plans for long run.

Their capital allocation, reallocation can seriously affect the market both positively and negatively.

All of those mentioned celebrities are obviously crypto supporters for years specially Snoopdog, Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg in which for long their businesses had been connected to cryptocurrency specially Bitcoin.

but it is still happy to see when someone sharing this for the benefits of the whole forum that people like us will love seeing.
and this may lead to more adoption as they are best example why people must enter and invest in crypto when these Millionaires(If not Billionaires) are already putting their Money inside this market.

The list is good and it makes way for more common people get into cryptocurrency usage. These people easily make money out of the market than the common man. As per my view the real adoption is the one that happens in the ground level. This means when the common man starts using automatically this will term to be a big change. Right now this can be experienced in El Salvador as the government itself have legalized the usage of bitcoin. Maybe similar change can happen with different countries through different celebrities who are in hard analysis about cryptocurrency usage.

In my country popular celebrities have begun to come on cryptocurrency exchange advertisements, but none have revealed any statement on the same.

But those celebrities that have built their empire like Akon, they're really taking their fame's advantage to built what they want to built. Well, they're just like us.

Holders and investors.

If only the poor people adopt this kind of perception and therefore invest even just a little bit of their money and wait for time to sell, then it would
much better for them than work out their asses a minimum of 8 hours a day just to survive. This celebrities are already rich and this would only make them more wealthier.

Adoption has been some of the ways to help Bitcoin popularity and acceptance by the general public. Not so many persons are smart or see potentials in a growing field hence, most persons confer on others, the credibility or knowledge of investment on them and want a piece of the pie. Lucky enough, these ideas are pushed by the social media for which majority of the populace pays attention to and is dominated by the hypes of celebrities and as well, there choice to invest in cryptocurrency.

While reading this list I realized we still have a long way to go.

They put El Salvador's president, Nayib Bukele, who made Bitcoin legal tender there, created Bitcoin city, started mining with volcanic energy, etc, in the same list as Kim Kardashian who simply got paid to promote a shitcoin in an instagram post.

Indeed to get Bitcoin into mainstream we need to have celebrities using it first, but of course most shitcoins are just jumping into this opportunity by paying a lot of money to have celebrities endorse them.

Also, they somehow didn't put US Senator Cynthia Lummis in this list, she has disclosed bitcoin purchases worth up to $100k, and also Senator Pat Toomey, who also has invested in Bitcoin.

Thanks for the link and its nice to be reminded of those celebs who bought
Bitcoin and got into crypto this year but I am really shocked as to the level
of traction and investment DOGE got, there was a frenzy this year for that
$hitcoin and it has slipped out of the top 10 on coinmarketcap and will likely
keep slipping until some celeb gives it a jolt.

Anyway its great to see celebs getting into Bitcoin it means that their followers
have been exposed to it too, and they probably bought some on Revolut.
