Neotracker.io keep having security breech issues, I think it is time to boycourt this wallet service provider and force them to make require changes to the security achitecture of their website.

I think that it is not problems with the NEO Tracker, because 15 NEO were stolen only. I think that you did not keep your private key in safe. It is the main reason of most of token loses.

81 NEO , 1000 ONT, 3500 DBC, 5k MCT, 100 and other Nep 5 tokens gone at Neotrac

Good day to all.

I'm newbie in this forum and I am still depressed and suffering from sleepless nights due to this.

Just found out about few days ago that my 81 NEO , 1000 ONT, 3500 DBC, 100 APH, 5k MCT and other Nep 5 tokens are gone on my neotracker wallet. Made the ONT swap a week ago using the ontology app that was pinned on the official telegram channel and I don't know if it's the reason. Also I have entered my private key at neotracker.io and now all my tokes are gone, I always use the keystore file or private keys to open my wallet at neo tracker but this is the first time that this catastrophe to my life happened. Found history that tokens were transferred to this address AbburVQZV8GG3BQispiYowyqFQHSkGPUfd . are there any way to recover the funds or atleast freeze the address or bank account where it was transfered to?

These are my lifetime savings and I dont know what to do and how to go back up again Cry Cry Cry Cry. Here is my NEO public address Ad1agS8qdBqhCokJUXCPushepkBweySQJK. Please help me do recover the funds or atleast freeze the address it was sent to.

I'm a solid crypto believer specially NEO and ONT and I just can't believed this happened. I've already message the neo council, ontology council thru several social media platforms but no one responding. Seems like they don't care. . I've contacted recovermycrypto.com as well but they only cater to 100k USD and above. Please help me recover this tokens are atleast freeze it

Thank you,

Are you sure the neo wallet you open is really neo ? cause im sure there ad at google search that put fake neo website in there, so there bad person in this world who willing to pay fake website and pay extra to make it in top of google search, so when you put your privatekey there they stole it.

im sure the middle site is fake
I now see, I used http://neotracker.online/ once instead of neotracker.io...

Sad

This really breaks my heart. I am a true believer in crypto and the blockchain technology, but this is an issue that is affecting crypto's future prospects. I worked hard for the money I invested in NEO, even chose to not eat so I could invest it in some NEO. To see my NEO and GAS in some lowlife's wallet truly breaks my heart.

I always played by the book, kept my ENCRYPTED keys on a seperate USB drive etc. I am tech savvy enough to make sure my laptop is virus free. I'm still not sure how this could have happened, unless the criminal was able to intercept my password at neotracker.io

My heart is truly broken by this. So let this be a warning for anyone who is giving crypto a chance: you can't be safe enough!

Back to being poor i guess...

PS: can't the wallet it was sent to be blacklisted? Seeing how much there's coming into the wallet, I'm not the only one who is affected it seems.

Friend, I'm very sorry for you. I hope you learned a lesson and will continue to be as close and attentive as possible. Please, in order not to repeat this error, create bookmarks with original urL addresses.

PRESALE BEGINS UP TO 45% DISCOUNT
well, I don't know and it's hard to conclude that the website or the platform was hacked.
But anyways, I am only using MyEtherWallet for my ERC20 coins and NEO app for NEO and Ripple App for ripple.
I never do use third party apps to keep my coins because I feel safer with their own developed wallet.
for me, you had put your Crypto Assets at risk when you entrust your Crypto Assets on third party wallets because no thing's more safer than coin developed wallet and it gives me peace of mind.

OMG.. if it really happen you have to replace your NEO wallet. Every time check web address has https before you login , add Cryptonite by MetaCert extension to chrome and make sure every time before login it's color is green, and do not hold your private key on PC or google drive. printout it and store in safe place. Hold your wallet address only in PC

Are there any other Tools that can hep from phishing for example ICO website duplicates etc??

Further to my post above, if anyone has any information on how to get my coins back or how to help me if you could please send me a message through this website so that I can send you my phone number or email address. I would be so grateful for anyone that can help me.
Thanks

I've learned that it was neotracker.online a webste coming up in google search rankings as number one. But now strangely neotracker.online is directing to neotracker.io

Is there anyway to track these neo coins? I thought neo was all about creating an identity system as well? if someone could please help.. thanks

I had 194 Neo coins stolen from my neotracker wallet. I am completely devastated. I tried posting on reddit into the daily neo summary and it was deleted and I can't find the thread i tried to create about it. I think neotracker is fraudulent. The full website address is https://neotracker.io

I have no idea how to get my coins back and am totally gutted.

My wallet address is AMSyu65H4uv4iXX9r6FzYWATCc8yEoZXRP and I had my coins transferred to the following wallet address (the fraudster): AcQZuoHPUCRvdLogJLA3WtGoHBGaM1NzgP who now has 4,744 Neo in his wallet. The transfer happened automatically without my permission.

Is there any way to get my coins back? Who owns neotracker.io??? Surely someone has to be accountable for this. I have no idea how to get my coins and I purchased them while the market was at a peak so aren't even as a result of profit. I've lost more than $25,000 and have no idea what to do. I just felt sick to the stomach.

That is why I never use any third-party wallets other than company owned and backed wallets because I never feel secure and safe with other wallets.
I have NEO coins and I only use NEO wallet app because I know that it is safe and secure.
MyEtherWallet of course for my ERC20 and Waves wallet for my Waves coins and so on.

Hy everyone,

I just lost more than 700 NEO in my turn. I always did my transaction carefully on NEO-GUI, but one time without attention and it's enough and I know it's my fault. The community should find a way to track these adress in order to freeze them. The main goal of blockchain is to valid transaction and find the corrupted adresses. I don't understand how masternode can valid transaction from these adresses after so much money stolen.

What do you think about that ??

My NEO and GAS have been stolen by these adresses : AHk7t8cKGDM2sARMFUw7F5zjPdqNCbnnjj & AVQbYt8MZnDFWDEZXvLxRXw9fjspapQwAW

One more thing, I never gave my private key, just like @gRaViJa, I gave my encrypted file and password. Neotracker should definitely find a way to make its website safer, like mail sent to valid transaction or 2-step Verification ... etc.

Perhaps you need to handle claims to the administration so that they correct the mistake and return the loss.

How could they return the loss? Isn't the whole point of crypto to make that impossible..?

Anyway, it seems like the scam address is still accumulating new coins -- when i checked yesterday it had 1660 NEO, now it has over 2000  Angry
Yeah, chances are very small that will happens. Also, I contacted NEO on every possible platform but no answer at all so far.
There can be several other reasons behind this as well.
You cannot be this much sure that these NEO coins have been stolen by someone. It is too early to make a conclusion. I don’t think so that such kind of thing would have been happened. There must be some technical problem due to which this all had happened. We just need to wait till the time we get to know the actual reason.

Same happened to me yesterday with 8 NEO that i planned to HODL.

I was in a hurry when creating the wallet and even NOTICED that i first was at the .online url, which i thought was dodgy so i left it, googled neotracker again, and went to the .io address. Somehow they still got stolen though and went to the same address as where yours went. My first experience with crypto robbery - expensive lesson learned Sad
if there has already been a massive robbery of coins on the same food, then I believe that this is not a leak from your resources of your personal data. This is most likely a problem with the platform that provides you with cells for wallets to store your coins. Perhaps you need to handle claims to the administration so that they correct the mistake and return the loss.

I am sorry for your loss. I have read many different instances of people who had their funds stolen.
Most of these scam sites are very convincing, they even tell you it is safe to key in the private key. I sincerely hope that there is a way to punish all these people behind the scams.
Thank you for sharing this at let this be a reminder to everyone to be extra careful when visiting any sites.

They create sites that very looks a like to steal your money. Be your own protection dude. Be more careful next time. Take the lesson.

Do not for any reason upload your private key and always double check url of a website before you even make use of the site to avoid being phished by a fake website. Hacking most time is from a phishing website a look alike of an original website. Therefore, be careful and be sure the url is certified and not fake http.

Thanks everyone. At least I hope this works as a warning for others to not make the same misstake!

I still want to see that NEO adress blocked and that clone website banned though. Any steps I can take?

You can'd do anything with it. But you can try to make an awareness to the neo community about that scam site. Basically if your amount already sent to the another wallet and you can't recover it. But the developer of neo tracker is also can't do anything about that. But neotracker is working just like mew and it's very similar in my opinion.

this is very sad news. I had the similar thing entering private key for SuperBitcoin fork, mybtgwallet website was hacked.
Then someone stole my ethereum prive keys, I still do not how.

I bought a hardware wallet then, and keep all my precious coins in hardware wallet. Since you had 50 neo which is a quiet good amount, I would recomment you got some. I think you had other investments

15, not 50 Smiley I have a bit of Vechain, but NEO was definitly my biggest asset.

Also, some other peopleposted here that they were scammed by the same address without using their private key, only encrypted key or keystore file: https://www.reddit.com/user/alanhendry

I am tech savvy
don't lie, a tech savvy that felt for one of the easiest ways to scam people who own cryptocurrencies, a clone website? A tech savvy wouldn't just click any random websites that says 'neo wallet' and upload the private keys to it.
You broke the number 1 rule in cryptocurrency: do not share your private keys.
At least your learned a lesson, the hard way.

Thanks everyone. At least I hope this works as a warning for others to not make the same misstake!

About the address, you should go to NEO's official website, look for their contact info and send them an email providing every detail of the scammers (NEO address, site name, how it is showing on google search, etc), if you don't get a response from them, go to their twitter or facebook page. Once they confirm the site is indeed a scam, they'll know how to handle it. And who knows, they might help you recover the NEO you lost.
And you should also spread the info about this scam works, go to NEO forums, reddit, social media, etc, and expose them as much as you can.

Since I had problems with my local NEO wallet (couldn't claim GAS), I used https://neotracker.io to open my wallet and claim GAS. I used my keystore file and password so it should be safe. However, when I opened my wallet again today, again safely, my NEO are gone, and I found this transaction: https://neotracker.io/tx/5202aaf6aba5a14bead10199b8bae6aa0ff46fa696ecb49ac16cae928ef53b50

The adress it was sent to is definitvely not mine! https://neotracker.io/address/AHk7t8cKGDM2sARMFUw7F5zjPdqNCbnnjj

I never shared my keys or password with anyone.

To keep things short: - Is my NEO stolen? - Can i revert this payment? - Is https://neotracker.io/ known for being fraudulent? -What did I do wrong?

Excuse me while i bash my head into a wall!

The more I check on this, the more it seems that https://neotracker.io is either hacked or they are stealing funds. The address my 15 NEO was sent to is less than a day old and has a big amount of NEO and tokens in it + new transactions are coming in every minute: https://neotracker.io/address/AHk7t8cKGDM2sARMFUw7F5zjPdqNCbnnjj

Even if it's not hacked, the devs op neotracker.io shoul be very aware that this is happening! Chances are very small i'm the only one!

look man, i have been using the neotracker.io  for quite some time now and i really have never encountered any problem using their services. which removes the speculation that it is stealing from people. that leaves the hacking issue which isn't really impossible to happen. so i think this really might be the reason if you really think that you did all the necessary precautions needed to make sure everything is secured and done right.
but also, due to some stress or laziness, some people really fail to check every letter of the url first whether it is spelled correctly or not. i sure hope you did not make this kind of mistake.

now regarding the reversibility of the transactions made, sad to say but i really do not think that something like this can possibly be done.
i think you should contact the support team. although i do not think that doing this will actually get you your coins back, but at least it is truly worth the try.

i really am sorry for you op, and i do hope that you'd still be able to get your funds back. good luck man.

edit : sorry, thought this wasn't solved yet.
don't worry op, i believe somehow you will get back what you've lost and possibly even earn more. do not feel too bad about it. at least you have
         learned something.

That's bad. Why did you even input a very sensitive and important key to a wallet? never input anything to something with risk on it. go with their official wallet.

I never shared my keys or password with anyone.

To keep things short: - Is my NEO stolen? - Can i revert this payment? - Is https://neotracker.io/ known for being fraudulent? -What did I do wrong?

Are you sure? that you have not shared your private keys and password(s) to someone else or a phising site?

and no you can't revert the transaction since we're are not handled by Banks that's why it's decentralized. the chances that you could still get your NEO is if the hacker would still send the funds to you. (which has like 0.1%-0.00% Chance)
After tracing back my steps, I found out i clicked on an add for neotracker.online once and I used my private key instead of my encrypted. its like the universe worked again me. Not excuses, but I fell devasted.

This must hurt. What you will want to do is install Ublock Origin and Disconnect add-ons in your browser. Its far less easy to accidentally click on phishing links in advertisements if your browser doesn't show any.

PS: can't the wallet it was sent to be blacklisted? Seeing how much there's coming into the wallet, I'm not the only one who is affected it seems.

Oh my god! You should never upload your private key anywhere even if the owner asked you to. You should be the only one who knows the key. It is a common scenario in this industry. I understand you, it also happened to me when I'm still new in crypto. It's really hard to build trust in some exchange. I'm sorry for your lost.
I only used my ecrypted private key, which should be okay to use, right?

ALWAYS you are about to upload your private key somewhere, search for an HTTPS site with a valid certificate, check the URL for typos also. Everything is so crowded with scammers, also if you ever see you get redirected to a site you didn't ask for run a malware app, if they redirect your good requests via DNS to a hacked mirror you will most likely get hacked too.
