Did you see the new release of Satochip limited edition card hardware wallet pack inspired by Genesis block message?

This is a cool collectibles item, but it can also be used as hardware wallet and as seed phrase backup.
Those stuffs have very cool designs. I like them because first it helps to keep our wallet seeds safely and also contains historical information of Bitcoin. It is like dual purposes in one, safety and education.

You can purchase this Satochip The Times Edition pack on their official website
Thank you for sharing links to those products, it helps me to check prices of those stuffs. I don't buy them now, cost is not feasible for me but I bookmark it and will return to buy it later if it will not be sold out.

Thanks for sharing this wonderful framed copy of the genesis block in physical form! If that belongs to you then congratulations it belongs in a museum. Satoshi's patientence paid off with that one because it is such a profound statement to embed into the very first block. Man I wish I had a physical copy of that one they are no doubt highly valuable. Crazy to think now that was 15 years ago!

Happy 15 year anniversary to Bitcoin!

Just in November I passed my 10 year anniversary of first time I heard about and bought bitcoin.

The past 15 years has seen Bitcoin grow from a single person to an experimental currency to an investors get rich quick scheme to global financial asset and even adopted as legal tender in a country. Hopefully the next 15 years we see the public get educated on Bitcoin and its gets normalized in society and becomes a normal way for people to not just save money but also spend money.

with today's flash crash  Shocked it was a great way to celebrate and be able to stack more satoshi Grin

obviously the events are not related to each other, but the approval of the SPOT ETF in conjunction with this anniversary would not be bad Wink but I am a bit skeptic on that ...

Bitcoin is really a great technology that has striven hard and surfaced in times of bad markets after dropping a great deal. Some years ago, after a significant drop in the price of Bitcoin, many people who were against it said it was Bitcoin's obituary because, to them, Bitcoin was going to die, but surprisingly, Bitcoin is still waxing strong. The technology is just 15 years old, meaning it's still a teenager  Grin, but yet it's the greatest asset that many people desire to have. What if Bitcoin becomes a full-grown adult in the few years to come? It simply means that there are more great heights that Bitcoin will accomplish, and for those thinking that they are late to investing in Bitcoin, they are still very early to the technology.

Happy 15th year anniversary. With that small beginning, it has changed a lot of lives. Can we imagine how all of these 15 years have changed everyone's life?

Whether you've been here a few years or long time ago, it is for sure that Bitcoin has a significant impact to our lives and it has changed a lot to us with how we look this life, finances, etc.

As in everything that all matters to us.

Thanks satoshi and all the OGs who contributed well to this project. Waiting for the ETF approval.

15 years have already passed by? it still feels like it was a few years ago. Those were the days when very few knew about Bitcoin and now a new generation of Bitcoiners are already in the making. So many changes have happened from 2009 to 2024, if I went on writing about it there wouldn't be space left here. The only thing that is left for me to say today is Happy Birthday, Bitcoin!
15 years?! I didn't feel bitcoin to be that old holy moly! Maybe because I've started young in bitcoin that I don't feel the time that's passed by on the history of bitcoin. I'm happy that I begun at the early years of bitcoin, and knowing the potential that it can go from here on out, I'm lucky considering there's going to be more people that's going to be introduced to bitcoin. I'm glad that I've was introduced to bitcoin, wouldn't be meeting wonderful people if I wasn't.

Oh yeah, it is a lot of time to consider the development of the human brain OR technology. Nonetheless, Bitcoin doesn't need to prove itself for anything. What was dreamt is running smoothly today and I don't think Satoshi would have ever imagined that Bitcoin will go this far. If they are still alive then man they must have watery eyes with happiness all over their faces. Oh and let's not forget they also hold a big chunk of share out of those millions of Bitcoins so who knows how that master mind is still in play?

Yes but it's not only a matter of price. I mean perhaps Satoshi wouldn't believe Bitcoin would be worth $45k usd, but there are some other aspects that Satoshi imagined that didn't go exactly according to plan.

I am a bitcoiner, don't get me wrong, but Satoshi's whitepaper had a promising title "Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System". Unfortunately, Bitcoin is worth a lot today if you exchange it for USD, but in terms of usage it is still too far behind from becoming a proper P2P cash system.

That said, we must focus on this and make Bitcoin a better cash system than the current one we live with.

Rollbit is for you. Take $RLB token!
And people still think Bitcoin is scam despite Bitcoin has been 15 years old. Tongue

The most interesting thing is when bull run happens, there's a spike during that moment. So yeah we can expect another spike during end of this year or next year.

Long live Bitcoin! let's prove everyone there's no better cryptocurrency except Bitcoin.
If they did not buy bitcoin buy bought Bitcoin forks which are dead coins or if they bought Wrapped Bitcoin tokens that are not bitcoin too, and lost money to those altcoins, they had reasons to say Bitcoin is scam.

They are wrong from the start and at the end because what they bought and lost money to, is not Bitcoin. Bitcoin forks, Wrapped Bitcoin tokens are scam and can die but Bitcoin is not scam and won't die.

So it's been 15 years since the first block was mined. What do you think? Has bitcoin evolved the way you wished it would?

I learnt about bitcoin relatively late, but I think 15 years is a very good anniversary, isn't it?

The 15 years of Journey they made a lot of changes "cosmetically". What I mean is, different products and services were launched around Bitcoin economy. Various aggregators came in so that they can link Bitcoin and real world economics to work parallel.

Idk, as technology it was self sufficient. The only thing that needs to get developed is scalability problem.

Time flies!
It's (2014) like yesterday that I randomly read about how you could use bitcoin to buy games online and after a little more research I was hooked. A decade later and I'm glad I found out about this fantastic innovation Smiley
I am so impressed because you digged a hole and got hooked by it for years. The impression is mainly because you learned about Bitcoin, not only to use it like other Bitcoin users but you actually learned deep enough to become one of Bitcoin experts in Bitcointalk community.

I read your posts many times and see they are very knowledgeable, insightful and admire you a lot but I don't have technical background in programming to understand it all.

Time has passed quickly, 15 years, a very long time, and because of Coinbase Message, many believe that Satoshi was in UK, and from him began the story of the most famous face of Satoshi, circulating until now. after the next 15 years, we will have judged Bitcoin. Either it is a realistic thing and will continue to exist, or it will turn into something like gold that will not be used in daily transactions, or it will fail and return to 0, as it began in Genesis block.

The 50 bitcoin coinbase reward is unredeemable, as it was omitted from the transaction database. This means any attempt to spend it would be rejected by the network. Whether this was intentional or not still remains unknown.
It's a bit nitpicky but that reward was never part of the spendable outputs to be omitted Tongue
As for the reason I would like to point out that whether it was intentional or not it's a good thing that it is not part of the spendable UTXO set because the 50BTC reward of block #0 is technically premined...

Yeah in TradFI many are speculating that tomorrow will be the day that the etf gets the approval. So it coincides with the Jan 3rd genesis block launch date.

Today prior to NY open the futures went crazy. Had a huge premium over spot. Seems something leaked and someone knows something because this is unusual trading activity.

Bitcoin Genesis
On January 3rd 2009, the Bitcoin network was created when Satoshi Nakamato (the project's mysterious creator) mined the “Genesis” block. The 50 bitcoin coinbase reward is unredeemable, as it was omitted from the transaction database. This means any attempt to spend it would be rejected by the network. Whether this was intentional or not still remains unknown.
A total of 0.00 BTC ($0.00) were sent in the block with the average transaction being 0.0000 BTC ($0.00). Satoshi earned a total reward of 50.00 BTC $0.00. The reward consisted of a base reward of 50.00 BTC $0.00 with an additional 0.0000 BTC ($0.00) reward paid as fees of the 1 transactions which were included in the block.

The Bitcoin Genesis block reward was sent to this address of Satoshi Nakamoto 1A1zP1eP5QGefi2DMPTfTL5SLmv7DivfNa

People still sent satoshi to the address. Like dusts with values smaller than transaction fees.

This is the Genesis address, it is owned by Satoshi Nakamoto and contains the unspendable 50 bitcoin mined from the genesis block.

Bitcoin Balance

Summary
This address has transacted 6,575 times on the Bitcoin blockchain. It has received a total of 72.74312567 BTC $3,292,629 and has sent a total of 0.00000000 BTC $0.25 The current value of this address is 72.74312021 BTC $3,292,629.

What mining pool will celebrate it with a Coinbase message this year?
