(from quotes above)

You can setup a site like I have to pull data from both pools and re-show graphs (I only have setup for old graphs) so you can see both data from each pool at the same time.

This is the only way I would know how to do it without changing any of the code. To get the old graphs, you'll need to install an older version of P2Pool and start it up (to get caching) then upgrade to the latest. This will show on the page "depreciated. go to /static" but it will show the older graphs. Smiley

True, but the Internet connection in location B is sloppy... Soz, forgot to mention it.
Maybe setup a VPN then? Or you could just leave both running and have them both payout to the same address. That way you could track your payout on pool A.

It sounds to me like your best bet is to leave pool B running and connect everything to that instead.

managed to get it installed and setup now just waiting on two ZTEX boards to get here tomorrow to add ~400mh to the pool

wish the bitforce singles that are on order are compatible.. hopefully in the future with a firmware update

thanks for all the info on this forum everyone!

Or if this can not be done, then having a graph in Pool A for every single miner (those mining in Pool B plus the one mining in Pool A)
This can be done if you set a different username for each miner. It sounds to me like your best bet is to leave pool B running and connect everything to that instead (each with a separate username). There's no way to connect them directly as far as I know.

Hello all.

I apologize if this has been mentioned before, but there are two threads with too many pages each >.<

I am running two nodes of P2Pool version 0.10.3 (both Windows version) and everything is running smoothly. What I would like to do (if can be done), is having pool B connecting to pool A and reporting all work done in pool B. The reason for this, is for me to monitor the graphs of both pools in pool A.

Configuration:
Pool B has 4 connected miners to it and I can see the graphs for each one.
Pool A has 1 connected miner to it and I can see its graph.
What I would like to see when checking graphs of pool A, is two graphs; one for the miner connected to it and one for (all the miners connected to) Pool B combined results. Or if this can not be done, then having a graph in Pool A for every single miner (those mining in Pool B plus the one mining in Pool A)

The reasons for wanting such a thing in stead of having all miners mine to one pool are:
  • Pool A and B are in different physical locations
  • the computer running Pool B has access to the Internet but the miners don't, so they can not mine directly in Pool A

Although I tried to make every single detail clear, I might have missed something, so please do ask for more info if needed.
Thank you in advance for your answers Smiley

The switch-over happened about an hour ago, and we lost about 10% of our hash rate, for the time being. In the future, the P2Pool software will display a large warning when another change like this is going to happen in the future. In addition, if you don't know about it, there's this mailing list that I post important announcements to: http://groups.google.com/group/p2pool-notifications

Yay, now we have P2SH! Is there any interest in P2Pool allowing P2SH payouts?
Forgive my n00b-ness in my lurking, but; what is P2SH?

Right...
I forgot to read about it. xD

Scattering my bits around the net since 1980
Nah, cuz the client sees the connection coming from 127.0.0.1, not an outside source.

Probably because it isn't recognizing the external IP address as being itself, so when it finds the IP from other peers, and tries it, realizing it is talking to itself, then it closes the connection.

Torrent clients have this happen too.

Often, the computer is only aware of its internal/LAN IP, so that's how this happens.

No big deal. Smiley

That makes sense, but then I would have expected the error messages to list the external IP, not the loopback.

Ha!  Found a funny error message.

Quote
2012-03-31 21:52:02.374120 Peer 127.0.0.1:9333 misbehaving, will drop and ban. Reason: was connected to self
2012-03-31 21:52:02.374464 Peer 127.0.0.1:47778 misbehaving, will drop and ban. Reason: was connected to self

But why would it connect to itself in the first place?

..to have a higher connections count? Bored of the 10 only, with zero incoming!

Thanks for that! - P2Pool didn't handle resubmittal of a share solution well. Fixed in commit d3c794ac7.

After so many questions, I'm happy to have been of any help! :-)
